Jedi Knight #2: *rases hand* I've Yada Yada'd Yaddle
On topic (I think): What are the chances that such a (rumored) large set with a big price tag will be a limited release? Just a few sets being produced and some of us might not be able to grab one? :-( Should I go and camp out of the LEGO store now?
I still want it though.
I'll hope we do!
So $800 is quite fair all things considered
I am dissappont.
Also no new Lego rumours - meh.
With all the off topic (and complaining about it) going on, I have to point out that this kind of going off topic realy makes me happy to be a member of the Brickset community:

Like a sidestep some pretty random remark gets taken this seriously and then we all go on. I love it when that happens. Only on Brickset it seems.
@CM4S How credible are these things 'we know' at this point?
DO. YOU. READ. IT?
DO. YOU. BUILD. IT?

"Please don't quote images"
This is just a nice polite reminder to people, if only that was how all the moderating was done on their it would be a much nicer site to use.
Now I have seen two posts be edited by moderators recently in this thread, there was no explanation. Maybe the people involved got pm'd I don't know. But I think if you are going to remove memes and swearing adding a little note when doing so is helpful to everyone.
Also can I ask what is the point of the memes ban when you are allowed to post a meaningless picture then comment after it. If this thread is what people want including mods then why ban memes in the first place. If people want this kind of 'fun' then memes would add to it.
Or if you mods want the site to be a little more grown up and to be a place where people can talk about their hobby then your going to have to put something in place a little more comprehensive than just banning memes. I don't understand this pointless no mans land we are in at the moment.
^ You do realize you're off-topic? You ought to take the above EB Forum criticism to the EB mods, and criticism of the moderation of this Forum to the appropriate topic. It's a bit hypocritical for you to complain about meme banning and post editing in a thread dedicated to rampant, unsubstantiated rumor-mongering and baseless speculation.
Can I start a letter-writing campaign at EB to un-ban you? Perhaps your activist self-appointed moderation would serve that forum better.
Also, to summarize:
1) No box art has been leaked. In fact, one image posted in this thread was fake.
2) The [email protected] site had a 'coming soon' splash page, but it had since been removed.
3) Somebody took a photo of a retail Lego Store inventory search indicating a large D2C set had a price set at $799.00.
4) There's a Design video where designers are playing with a Space Slug cut-out and a mini-scale Millennium Falcon.
5) And Blocks posted a vague UCS MF rumor.
You slipped a post in there and completely confabulated my post reference carat thingys. Thankfully, I quoted the post, so others can still understand what I am referring to. (I think that is why there is the option to quote a previous post.)
Please amend my previous post to:
^^
Please, enough!
I support the meme ban. I sometimes dislike it when the pointless conversations spiral out of control and it's just a bunch of silly jokes. But it's not MY forum, I'm here to enjoy the good and the bad.
Let the moderators moderate how they want to moderate. Let the members be members and do as they please until such as a point as the moderators determine they need to step in. You act as though the moderators are clueless to what is going on in the threads, you don't have to play "tattle tale" and "self-appointed moderator" all the time. If they feel like they need to step in, they'll do it.
THAT is how this forum is run. Now, please, let it run.
(Or if you are not, then '+1, thumbs up, this' for @samiam391.)
The stark contrast being you try lecturing the whole forum constantly, whereas I'm only addressing you.
There is an incredible irony in that as much as you complain about the forum being off topic you as an individual take it off topic probably more than anyone else in this entire forum.
And yes, I do wish the moderators would step in to stop your constant shenanigans as I feel it is a constant distraction. It is the "off topic" conversation that annoys me the most... it's like having a person the same age trying to act like a chaperone, watching over your back and constantly interrupting while everyone else just tries to have a good time- talking about weather, sausages, explosions, and occasionally LEGO.
I try and add to the forum, how many times have I been the first to pass on news about upcoming sets here:
http://bricksetforum.com/discussion/24229/leaks-and-more-leaks#latest
I tried to get a conversation going about BB8 in the star wars thread by bring news about the new set. Interestingly my comment here was picked up over on eurobricks and I was thanked over there.
The problem is that people don't respond that much to the Lego news I or other people post they would much rather argue with me here. A lot of the time I am just responding to a comment like I am now.
Where as other people who shall remain Sumo nameless interrupt the rare few conversations about Lego on the forum to make silly comments which then derail the whole thread. They don't do it in just one discussion at a time and I think this is much more damaging for the site.
And lets no forget I am one of the few people here that would like nothing more than to talk about the forthcoming MF.
And I am flattered that I was mentioned by name. @Pitfall69 - take that!
When you make this point about how going off topic is damaging I just don't know how you can support a comment like this. In no way do I think that off topic posts are damaging at all. Since you have already brought @SumoLego up, I will use him as an example once more. When you go back and look at all his contributions to not only this topic but many others, they are all greatly appreciated, as many of his posts receive many likes. People enjoy what he has to say. And when I say this at the end of the day its not at all just limited to sumo but also many other people who contribute in fun ways.
Now the reason that I underlined the word off topic above is because I would like to go into further discussion about it. When we do go off topic, I think its still fair to say we are on topic. When white range finders and sausages are brought up, they can still be brought back to the topic of the UCS Falcon. (How cool would it be if the falcon did have sausages in it, would we then currently be on topic or still at this moment off topic?)
Does it pain you to see people have fun about a topic every once and awhile?
