My VIP card envelope was in pretty good shape until my wife opened it before I got home. :( 

The good thing is that she must not have read it too closely and has not realized I bought one.

@SumoLego To be fair it's probably one of the few sets I'd not be able to get on the sly!
My wife didn't/hasn't yet noticed that I bought UCS Slave 1.  If I keep the "to build" pile roughly the same size then new stuff goes unnoticed.  The Falcon is just too big and given the publicity it got on release she knows exactly how much it costs too!  My usual "got it cheap online" wouldn't cut it unfortunately.

Yes, [email protected] is shop.lego.com. I believe many in UK/EU have got their cards. Folks in NA seem to have just started getting them in the past week.

Yes, a few of us that were at the launch event have ours now. Some earlier than others. Mine only arrived a week ago.

I am contemplating getting one, but I just don't like the freebie that they have today.  I think I will risk it and wait for the May the Fourth sale or something else.

I'm sorry but that cracked me up. The notion of deciding to buy an $800 set based on what $5 freebie it currently could get you is just hilarious to me. 

Now donto get me wrong I'm all for bang for your buck, and this set isn' something to just go get on a whim. You gotta be comfortable in your choice. Its just that to me the freebie wasn't even on my radar as a factor.

^I'm not going to open it right away, so if I am going to buy it why wouldn't I wait for a decent promo that I actually want?  [email protected] has pretty decent promos throughout the year.  I make all my purchases during either Double VIP or when a really good promo is offered.  Buying any time other than that is just stupid to me.

^The 60th anniversary set is GWP at the end of the month isn't it? Doubt the falcon will be included in any double points or sales any time soon though.

I realized a couple hours ago that if I had bought it, I could probably have flipped it for $100-$200 profit.  Oh well

I read that it has been listed at TRU in the US, FNAC in France. So chances are they will ramp up production now. There is also speculation about them limiting it to try to stop the number of the exclusive black VIP cards, if they had already produced limited numbers of promo items for holders and selling more prior to Xmas would have meant more card holders.

Plus this set will sell any time, so better to devote pre-Xmas production into sets that are likely to sell well before Xmas and leave the large stocks of the adult set until after Xmas.

So I finally got someone who knew there was a list at customer service. Bad news is I wasn't on either list. Went over my profile and there was nothing that would hold me back from getting the card before January 1st. Asked me when, and where I bought it. Told her in store day one, and was put on hold. She came back and said I would have to email the receipt, and they would have the card reprinted. She said the card would probably get to me by the end of February, but since the numbers are the same I could use my old card ro get the deals. Somehow I think I'm gonna get screwed, and not get the card or the deals.

What I hope the black VIP card will do:  Cool freebies or promos and/or significant sales on larger sets.

What I fear the black VIP card will do:  small sales on small sets that I had no intention of buying. 

I'm preparing for worst case scenario and won't be too upset about it one way or the other.  As someone a few post above alluded to, I bought the set to own the set.  If all this black VIP card does for me is make me look super cool when I whip it out at the Lego Store, then icing on the cake.  If I get a couple nice promos out of it or sales on other sets I plan to buy, I'll be thrilled. 

Off topic: 
I've seen more than one person concerned about the shape of the mailing envelope.  I'm wondering why.  Planning on keeping the card sealed up?

The only guarantee as to what this card does is that it's going to p**s off at least one section of the Lego customer base.
Either the customers that did get the card but the promos turn out to be a bit crap or those that weren't able to get the card and can't get the promos if they turn out to be really good.
However it turns out, I get the feeling there is going to be a fair bit of heated discussion flying about.

Now, ever since I was trying to get one (have one now though), when logged in as VIP, its always said, Temporarily Out of Stock. Was just looking again now, as its still saved as one of my home pages and says Sold Out. Never have I seen that before on this set.

Think the run has ended? lol

I am one of those people who are concerned about the quality of the envelope. I did open it up and check out my card but I am debating if I will ever use it or not since my original VIP Card isn't in that bad of a shape.

You know, somehow I feel the same. I was ready to buy it on day one. No luck. Missed out on the brief Nov availability as well. Not in (easy) reach of a brand store, so that's a no go. I'm now kinda 'meh' about it...

I try not to get overhyped for stuff - it rarely ends well. I can anticipate things for years before they come to fruition, but I do hate it when I miss something because I just didn't hear about it. I need to know everything!

If  you ever lose the desire to own this set, just try to go look at it in person at a Lego Brand Store and you will quickly be re-energized to purchase.

Haven't received my card yet, live in New England and bought the MF online day one...at what point should I worry if I don't see anything in the mail?

Hey, I was (and am) in the same boat as you. Bought day one, and hadn't received my card when other US people were getting theirs.

I contacted customer service and they said that I wouldn't be getting mine until end of Feb because I wasn't on the VIP Mail List.

To see/change your settings:
• Go to shop.lego.com
• Click on Account (upper right) and then click on My Lego VIP
• Click on the Edit button next to My Account
• Scroll down and see if you have "Yes, I'd Like to receive mail from LEGO® VIP" checked

Annoying, and a dumb way to sort who gets theirs when, but it's what I was told was the reason I hadn't gotten mine yet. Either way, I was told we'd still get the benefits (which are linked to our accounts) so you are just waiting on the physical card :)

I would be very happy if that's the case... but I don't think so. I spoke to the LEGO hotline 2 days ago telling them that I would have been happy to spend € 800 on the 75192 to get the black VIP card but I didn't manage to order it in their shop during the few hours that it was available... and unfortunately the answer was that after 31.12.17. they cannot give me the black VIP card anymore... very sad about that answer.

David Jones has it on their website. Not in stock at the moment but I've found their site quite sketchy. Says a store doesn't have it yet you go in there there it is.
Just keep a look out for it.

I bought it the second day and my box wasn't checked off. My email box however was and I got an email telling me that my card would arrive by the end of November (not even true).

According to my source at lego those with the Black VIP card can expect 6 deals over the year and will get the following:

February: limited edition Jar Jar Binks figure with sound effects you can't turn off

April: six copies of the Last Jedi on VHS

June: Jake Loyds autobiography

August: Han shot second T shirts

October: The Prequels Special Editions with added CGI

December: 24 hour Han Solo Movie Marathon in Slough

When she brought it up I expressed my doubt of that happening as well. We exchanged our views and I let the conversation move on to other subjects.

Unrelated, but overall the experience I had at the Lego Store Bluewater was easily the best I had at any Lego brand store.

Just got my baby delivered today.  Had to dig out all my Falcons in welcome.  I think I will have to build them all together when I get back from Germany next month.  Just don't like the idea of taking them all apart again because of lack of display space.

I got reply after emailing lego customer service got a reply back in 2 days or so.
saying along lines of big demand etc though you think they would of had a card for every MF made!
one bit from email:

“Everyone who placed their order on the set during 2017 will be eligible and will receive their Millennium Falcon VIP Card! As your order was placed in December your VIP card will be produced in the third batch which will be delivered during mid to late February, if you'd against all odds not receive it before the end of February, please get back in touch”
