Glad to be back on Brickset and still trying to catch up with the threads. You lot are such a chatty bunch

Here is the bonusball for this weekend then 25th March draw for a chance to win a TC4 #5002122 poly

simply answer the question to get a chance to be in the draw.  1st 59 answers get a number..yadda yadda etc terms and conditions apply. Please consult your doctor before ordering. Your home may be at risk. Gamble responsibly. A dog is for life not just for Christmas

Anyhoo enough to rembling and here is this weeks question.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

Mine would be "never be afraid to make mistakes, be afraid of not learning from them"

Good luck everyone.

That's a great question, great to have you back.

I think the best advice was given to me when I was dating, I always thought too hard and too long about why this guy I fancied was 'right' for me, but I was told to listen to my heart and not my head.

A bit cliché, but the week after that advise a certain British bloke walked into my life and after getting a big 'love at first sight' arrow from cupid, I did just that and went for it.
Even though previously I thought long distance relationships won't work and love at first sight is a load of baloney. He felt the same and we are  almost 10 years on and I am happily married for 8 of them now (most days anyway ;) ).

There are essentially only 4 personality types (Gary Larsen - Far Side):

    1. This glass is half-empty
    2. This glass is half-full
    3. What was the question?
    4. And, hey I ordered a pizza!

Good to see you back @bendybadger!

My dad always told me that you need to be a smart worker instead of a hard worker. Anyone can work hard, companies prefer when you work smart.

    Don't be an a$$.

Seems simple, but a lot of people have a hard time grasping the concept of not being a jerk.

Amen. People seem to pride themselves on being "so busy," but more often than not they're busy because they aren't working smart.

"Your wife is always right" and "never assume". (the whole ass/you/me thing)

Also: empathy. Makes it so much easier to find a solution / not be an ass.

And good to have you back @bendybadger!

I suppose many of these maxims are all easier said than done, while simultaneous appear superfluous, however if I am to pick one, mine is the following: trust yourself.
Hello @bendybadger so cool you continue to host these bonusball thingies, events, raffles. Hope you are well!

"Wax on, wax off" for beating Cobra Kai.

Or maybe "you can't take it with you" regarding money after you die. It hasn't stopped me having a savings account but it's gotten me a lot of Lego sets, especially these last few months. In hindsight, not the best advice for an addictive personality really!
