I see a few of these are available on ebay for ridiculous prices. Any one got any info on how to officially get one.
Do you think they'll be this years May 4th promo? I want one so bad.
Cheers

I hope it is the May 4 bag, I will probably buy way too much stuff I don't really want to get at least a couple if it is. Probably these early ones went home in jacket pockets somewhere along the distribution chain.

@donutboy Judging by how promos have gone this year so far, I'm gonna guess these are either on sale at Manchester LLDC, LL Windsor or Leicester Square only gift with purchase.

    So only in shops??
That would be disapointing since I don't live near one.
I like this polybag very VERY much too and guess it will become hugely popular once available.

Judging by this ridiculous ebay auction the seller seems to think so too...

They had them at LDC Manchester a week or so ago. It explains why the ones on eBay are from the Manchester area. I thought the May 4th polybag usually had some sort of logo on the front stating Limited Edition as the R2-D2 polybag doesn't.

Last years Stormtrooper had a logo on the front. None of the ones before that did. Who knows if that means they all will have one now or not.

Was surprised to find this came up on the Bricks and Pieces website by searching using the set number.
Not quite so suprised that the only 2 parts that are not available to buy are the printed dome and printed front tile.

Ebay used to charge listing fees based on the auction starting price.  When they started allowing what is essentially free listings, you will keep seeing stuff like this pop up.  Always funny to see but you have to wonder if anyone ever pays these exorbitant prices.

There is a link to picture on another forum showing R2-D2 poly as the gift between 29/4 and 7/5 on the Chinese Lego Store Calendar. So it looks like this is the May 4th promo. A little bit disappointed with this if it's true.

May the 4th is acceptable. Gives everyone a chance to get one who has $50-$100 to spend, depending on the minimum to get it. But truly for a poly this good, it would be nice if it were made in massive amounts for everyone to enjoy.

I thought/expected it would be a Minifigure. On reflection it looks quite good but annoyed that I missed out on buying it for £3.00 from the LDC Manchester by an hour or so.

Wow, I'd love to get a couple of these for 3 quid each. If they are the May 4th promo I might be able to get one. But I'm not sure if there is £50 worth of SW sets that I want at the mo

Well, just pick something out that will make easy trade fodder for something you do want. That is probably what I will end up doing.

Be nice if the Snowspeeder is released by then, would make a nice added bonus to the set.
