Sticker Collectors?

BigOnBricksBigOnBricks Member Posts: 23
Just wondering if anyone else collects back up sticker sheets for their sets?

I don't like stickers but too many sets look incomplete without them so I do apply mine.  I am concerned about longevity of them so I started buying replacement sheets.  I keep them in Ultra Pro Platinum brand collectors sheets.  I use baseball card, 5x7 and 8x10 sized sheets in a binder.

They are another thing to keep organized on top of my actual Lego collection.  Maybe I am being OCD collecting them.

Am I alone here?

I try to get back up sheets for my sets, especially since it sounds like LEGO got away from putting the sheets onto cardboard backers like they did a few years ago (as you never know what the condition of the sheets will be with out the cardboard backers). They are piled up in baggies right now, but have some tupperware type bins to put them into to try to further keep the sun, air, and humidity away from them.

There's another thread somewhere discussing this topic, from a slightly different angle but, yes, I have duplicates of all my recently purchased (post DA) sets.

I do have a couple still to get hold of from my latest purchases and also need to do something similar to what you have done and get some dedicated plastic wallet sheets to store them in, rather than having them with the set instructions in expanding box files.

would any of those sticker collectors mind clearing out my bricklink inventory thereof? they sell about as well as instruction books and have the same problem of getting curled in the set box.

When it comes to stickers I really take a lot of time to appropriately apply them.  Thats once I decide to actually apply them - I dislike them being at an angle, or whatever.  Most of the time though I keep flat tucked away in a plastic box for future application.

Stickers are like instructions, in that ones from more expensive, AFOL oriented sets sell well for reasonably high prices, whereas ones from cheaper, massively parted out sets sell for pennies if at all.

I don't even bother selling instruction books anymore, at least sticker sheets are lighter/smaller to store
