Some great answers. Some of the answers make me feel very old as I remember the events well. When @TheOneVeyronian was just two, I was 18 and wandering around the Park Lane showroom checking out the bright red F1 they had in there, still got the brochure in my collection somewhere!

I must admit, I feel the opposite! Sometimes I feel like I must be one of the youngest people here :o) I could have also added "1993 - Magic: The Gathering first went on sale" (another hobby of mine, in fact believe it or not it was first released very close to the day I was born!). I would have also added another interesting fact to my post, my favourite rock band Muse first formed, but unfortunately that was 1994, not 1993. It's funny how many things I'm interested in originated from around the time I was born. I wonder if the same is true for other people.

(btw, the story about me being a passenger in a McLaren F1 road car, 100% true! I can even tell you whose McLaren F1 I was a passenger in. Funnily enough, I was 18 when it happened)

@Speedman29 Nice! I'd post my own McLaren pics but I don't like posting pics of myself online, so here's a pic of just the F1, the one I've been in (complete with marauding kids climbing into it when they're not supposed to be). If you recognise it, it's the GTR version, it's the one that was displayed at Beaulieu Motor Museum a few years ago, and the car itself is owned by the Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason:


To make this somewhat LEGO related, I kinda hope that LEGO make a Creator Expert model of this car, to me it's as iconic as any of the CE cars they've done so far.

Blimey, talk about luck.  I found a £1 coin covered in bird shit this morning too so luck is definitely in the air.  I'm going to buy a ticket next week and see what happens.

I've always considered it appropriate for anyone that takes part in the weekly draw to also take a turn in hosting in @bendy's absence so as winner this week I'd like to host next's please.  :)
