Bricktastic 2017

SirKevbagsSirKevbags Fairy Land Member Posts: 4,030
It's coming back folks! If you have not heard about this event then it is run by the team here at Fairy Bricks with all proceeds going directly to the charity.

So we are back in Manchester on July 1st and 2nd at Manchester Central (formally the GMEX) If you get your tickets before the end of March they will be frozen at 2016 prices.

http://www.bricktastic.org/

If you want to be involved in the show as an exhibitor then just take a minute to fill out this form and we will be in touch early April.

Kev's far too modest to say how wonderful Bricktastic is, so as a past attendee I'll do it on his behalf and say what a cracking event it is! To get a flavour of proceedings check out my 2016 Bricktastic event report here. Definitely worth a visit if you can get to Manchester.

I went on the Saturday last year and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Lots to see and a great place to bump into Bricksetters :-)

Booked my flight back at the beginning of January :-))
Better go and buy my show ticket...

There is a man who knows to buy early and save that £1 ;-)

The pound saved can go towards an extra Tombola ticket!

I'll use the £1 I've saved to buy a bag of crisps and a Creme Egg :-)

Now, I remember when Creme Eggs cost just 5p each. And crisps were 10p a bag. Etc., etc. ...

Since my cholesterol is up, I think a tombola ticket would indeed be the more sensible option :-)

But a tombola ticket costs £2.... Or does @Legopants get special rates?

    Special ex-pat rate? ;-)

I said "towards" a tombola ticket! I'm not daft enough to expect any discounts from the Chief Fairy!

@Salamalex @Legopants you're living in a land of make believe!

How about half a ticket then? ;-)

Pay for half a ticket and you can have half a go.

So you can put your hand in, rummage in the bricks but not actually take any out ;-)

So sadly you won't be able to exchange your brick for a prize.

@SirKevbags - I'll put my hand in and have a rummage then.

I have just discovered that there's a (almost) daily flight from Luxembourg to Manchester. Sorely tempted now to book a flight...

@stlux if the flight is a good price I would say go for it. If you can't get there and back in a day then try and Fly Sunday morning, staying Sunday night will cost you way less than the Saturday.
  • stluxstlux LuxembourgMember Posts: 2,102
Aaaaand flight booked. Arriving Friday evening, leaving Sunday morning. (no Saturday flights)

Now off to find a hotel and book my Bricktastic ticket...

With #5004928 Kiss Kiss Tuxedo Batman now available at Argos as per the article on the homepage, would somebody attending Bricktastic be willing to pick some up for me so we can do the exchange there? Please PM me :)

@SirKevbags I read somewhere on Facebook that fairy bricks are doing a lego card swap event at bricktastic and need more cards? If that's the case please let us know where to send spares

That looks a very ominous kangaroo lurking in the background. I do hope the Houses of Parliament survive the evening.

The show was brilliant - the quality gets better every year! Very well done to @SirKevbags and his minions for putting on a great weekend.

My favourite display was the amazing Jacobite Risings model by Brick to the Past. The expansive landscaping and high background allowed for some great photos, with real depth of field. It's a stunning model.
