    The BOGO which starts tomorrow again shows only Star Wars excluded. Dunno if you can print it out and bring it in before they change it. I was unable to get to TRU to try it on the Fri-Sat one I printed.

    I think that the only way I buy from true is if there are coupons/BOGO buy2 get the 3rd free, etc...
    The 'retail' prices are jokes at TRU..
    Not to mention with all of the BOGO sales they have nothing, namely the Modulars (as it seems those are the only sets that TRU has yet to price increase)

    QAR is "discounted" down to MSRP, and appears to be BOGOing right now. Sale items don't appear to be excluded.

    I agree, and to people like us who track these prices it seems like such a scam by TRU. However, lately when I go into TRU I see all the grandmothers picking up the SW Falcon for $164, I just can't believe it, but they are lured in by the BOGO 50% deal. This strategy must be working for TRU because they keep doing it.
    And when you think that you can get that same set at a discount at Target for $109, it's really twisted...

    TRU just sickens me... I want a Passenger plane really bad (still haven't got one), but it's disgusting to buy sets over there like that. I don't have the will power to take advantage of that. Part of me wants to buy this plane at my LEGO store for $39.99.

    3181 on BOGO50 when it is priced at $29.99 is a heck of a deal. Less than $50 for 2 of them after tax...

    Shame it is sold out for shipping (does TRU actually order any Lego, or just pretend they do?), but I've got a few now reserved for pickup at my local stores, thanks for the tip. Never done store pickup there before, will be interesting to see how easy it is.

    Ok, there IS a good deal...

    7848 - TRU City Truck, the blue one, is $29.99 and is BOGO and ships...

    You have to add a $5 Lego item to get to $50 to get free shipping, but since it saves you $10 in shipping, that is easy enough...

    $55 with tax delivered for 2 TRU City Trucks plus a poly bag item? Bargin... Sigh, here we go again...!!!

    seriously, no it is not amazon prime, but shoprunner (especially for free and just a few minutes to sign up) has been very helpful sending gifts to all the young relatives and saving the shipping.

    Ok, ok, I admit it, I got carried away... I ordered 20 of them... For $24 each delivered, how could I resist? That is even better than the 50% off deal they had awhile ago!! (since the $24 includes tax and the $24.99 price did not.

    Yes, I do have to take a $5 kit, I bought the City Speedboat, Holiday Wreath, Alien Conquest thing, Both Ninjago polybags, both Atlantis polybags, both $5.99 creator kits, and that filled out 10 orders of 2 trucks each plus a $5 item to get over $50.

    What a fun way to spend $500. :) Funny, it is less painful to do this than it was to buy 10221 on Brick Friday... Maybe that is because we'll now have a fleet of 5 City Yellow Trucks, 5 TRU White Trucks, and sell the rest to pay for it all.

    The one thing we've never done with Lego before is to have multiple of anything to "play" with, but in a City you really would have a "fleet" of trucks, now we can. :) The plus side is that by selling the other trucks, the whole thing doesn't cost me a dime, other than an hour or two of my time to deal with it all.

    Plus we get all of the above extra $5 items for "free". Sort of, since if I had shoprunner I wouldn't have needed to bother with them, but they will be fun to play with.

    This is strange - I just put two items (City Trucks) in my cart, and a free Bricktober Forestman Magnet showed up in my cart as well, for free.

    @LegoFanTexas - for me the 7848 trucks show up as $50 retail.

    ^ the $29.99 was a carryover from Saturday. They most likely corrected that by this morning.

    @brickupdate - the $29.99 was indeed a carryover, it lasted only a few hours before they adjusted the price. I did get a bunch of orders in at that price, would you like one of them? :)

    ^ Sorry these deals always expire quickly. Shoprunner has run three 1 year free promos the past 2 weeks so if they do another I will post here.

    Just go to shoprunner.com and sign up for the free 30-day trial. You will need cc info, but just remember to cancel on or before day 30. I did this and within a few days, they send me link to renew free for the year.

    I know this sale has been beaten up to death, but here's a good deal... MMV is back up in stock, although you can only get one at a time... I combined it with the Public Transport set (also $99)

    On top of that I use the $15 off $100 (Right now is SANTAFUN)

    and last but not least, I went through the ebates website for an extra 4% off (about $6 based on the value of this order) By the way, this site works great, I'm already close to $100 in cash back ;)

    The offer is good, adding the $15 off $100 makes it great, but you can only do it once...

I have had trouble using this one in the past since every time I do it removes the free shipping... I figured since I was using shop runner I would get free shipping plus (or minus) the $10 off...

    Oh, and to top it off I got a free Bricktober Forrestman Minifigure magnet... :)

    ^Thanks, I think, for the tip. My son has been asking for this and it is one of the few sets TRU has jacked the price. Ack! Wallet takes another hit.

    Btw, the Star Wars are now included in the BOGO50% if anyone is really in need of something. Will probably come to full retail with mark-up/ Although, 7961 is only $5 over retail (love DM).

    For anyone near NYC, the Time Square brick and mortar store actually carries the exclusive sets in store. I saw a bunch of sets like Tower Bridge there.

    @brickmatic - the Times Square TRU does have some of the exclusive sets, but they are heavily marked up due to the astronomical rents of having such a big store in the middle of Times Square. So the Death Star would be something like $480, not $400. Even with the BOGO50, it isn't worth it. Also: you would then have to be walking around NYC with these big boxes.

    Must be because we are getting closer to Christmas. Earlier in the week they had Pet Shop and FB at RRP with BOGO (picked up both). They also had a few MMV at RRP.
