Maybe I can start wishing for a Great Mouse Detective or a Cruella De Vile.
I guess Mickey and Minnie explain the new pieces for Steamboat Willie, but it does seem odd for them to be on the shelves at the same time.
I like that Frozone has an unprinted version of the circle that was used in TLBM for Polkadot man.
Overall I'm pretty happy
I'll just want Jasmine and Jafar, Elsa and Anna, Chip and Dale, Jack and Sally and maybe Hercules and its nemesis.
But from a minifig collector point of view, more Toy Story figs would have made some sense, IMO.
- the TS sets are tagged +4, and therefore directed (by them) for very young kids (we all know we ignore this, but it's LEGO's classification, not mine)
- they (LEGO) are assuming that a minifig collector doesn't collect only minifigs from the minifigure theme (or that, like I've been told by LEGO CS once, I can always resort to social media or other platforms to aquire/trade minifigures)
- the sets are not that cheap, given their content
Mickey and Minnie, this time, are a special version, as they were already included in the first series. Therefore, there's no gap to fill there (only the lack of Goofy).
Pretty disappointed overall actually.
But I'm such an avid Disney collector that I'll likely buy up the whole set. But with the black and white Mickey/Minnie figs, it'll likely delay my Steamboat Willie purchase considerably.
I think for the Mickey and Minnie maybe they wanted people to have access the black and white minifigs without having to shell out $90 for the Ideas set. Just my speculation anyway.
I'd rather have seen a Sorcerer's Mickey.
Also, #FirstLegoAcorn
Hercules seems a bit odd, although I am a big fan of the film.
Frozone, I was first excited for ourselves, next, I thought of @SumoLego too, we are really brainwashed aren't we :)
Chip & Dale have the medium size pose-able legs (teenager legs) in reddish brown and (?) medium dark flesh!!
Jurassic World: Motherf*#!ing Dinos in the Park.

The larger set got less than 200 votes, and the larger Steamboat Willie set could have been released outside of Ideas, but then @szabomate90 went and made a pocket-money sized version that got 10K votes, leaving LEGO with a set that bears little resemblance to the approved set other than the name. Better to tie the set to the wrong ideas submission than deal with the PR fallout.
like many others, I’ll settle for these mickey and minnie and won’t bother buying the steamboat set.
I’m getting all of these, because I like them all (my least favourite are the triplets, but mostly just because they’ve taken up three spots..)
"Mutherflurken!! Hurdy gurdy. Flipty flurty. Bork Bork Bork!!!"
I'd have the same opinion if Chicken Little, Treasure Planet, Oliver & Company or the Rescuers were the subject of two figures.
at least there are some nice prints and recolours on some of the accessories.
I've become more a minifigure collector than anything else as of late ... I keep saying no more CMF but then...
