I might just have spent about £50 on Bricklink (not including postage), having spent about £70 on specialist train pieces from America the other day, and £50 on train motors etc from the Sheffield Lego store last Sunday.

That's my Lego spending done for the month now. All I have to do is wait for it all to turn up!

Is off to bed after a really long day and feeling poorly with a chest infection.
Tomorrow I don't care how bad I feel, I am gonna start on my build pile and go crazy!

Night night to all my LEGO friends

Super relieved. A buyer in Russia purchased my #41999 set on ebay and waited until they received the item to file a phony not authorized chargeback. I provided a tracking number which indicated proof of delivery, photo of the post office receipt and photo of the customs form and Paypal found in my favor and returned my funds.

I can't wait until I am done with reselling so I don't have to deal with scammers like this ever again.

Went to TRU for my birthday today, and I bought the Supercycle chase, Lord Business' Evil Lair, Kashykk Troopers, and the Gorilla Legend Beast. My dad also bought me the AT-AP as a present too.

I also ordered the Kai Fighter, Ninjacopter, and Nindroid Mechdragon from [email protected] Really good birthday overall.

Boxing up the Winter Village for another year :(
  • BrikingBriking Member Posts: 768
^ Got that to come tomorrow. Not sure I will break down my custom train station though. Just need to find somewhere to store it...
  • bricktuarybricktuary Member Posts: 987
I did find a few advent calendar doors we hadn't opened!
  • PaperballparkPaperballpark Member Posts: 4,268
I'm breaking apart my Winter Village sets as well. It's just taken me half an hour to do the Toy Shop. Only got the WVB, WVPO, WVC, WVM and the three freebies to go...

^ @alijoezac- Now let's not brag, but if you must, keep it in the 'brag thread.'

Just kidding- I passed on this set when it was on clearence a number of years ago. Now I'm kicking myself every time I set up my Winter Village display. It is definitely one of the ones that got away!
  • legogallegogal Member Posts: 754
Winter Village break up time….ugh! Wish it would just jump back in that container with the snap of a finger. At least it is built for next year.
  • Wil348Wil348 Member Posts: 240
I might just swap out the base of the carousel in the Market for all year round use in my town. I'm sure it would look lovely in a park setting!

Status today: Not good at all. My [email protected] tracking says my parcel was delivered today. Yet there was no sign of it! I was in all day. Delivery man didn't ring the bell, left no depot card, left no parcel at all and probably didn't even go anywhere near my front garden! I'm potentially looking at £100 out of pocket with no LEGO to show for it :-(

And tomorrow my status will be trying to ring LEGO's customer service to say I didn't receive my parcel even though tracking suggests that I have. And I do say try not least since CS seems to be near impossible to contact at the moment.

Sigh... I'll just have to grin and bear it (though I'm pretty annoyed!) :-) There's still the off chance it was a mistake and it will actually be delivered tomorrow :-)
  • LegoboyLegoboy Member Posts: 8,827
I called CS twice today. Both times was only on hold for 5mins tops.

There is not an ounce of doubt in my mind that [email protected] won't put you right, regardless of what the tracking says. You won't be out of pocket, no way.
  • TheOneVeyronianTheOneVeyronian Member Posts: 1,372
^ It was only because the last time I tried to ring CS, they said the call centre was closed, even though it was 3pm on a Thursday with no mentioned closure on the website, then that just sorta put me off ringing them again.

I have had parcels from Yodel delivered to the wrong address before (thanks to courier driver's satnav which sometimes seems to go to the crossroad near my house and delivers it there. Why the last time that happened, the parcel turned up the next day after first attempted delivery with a Google map stuck to it and the actual road I live on circled! :-) ).

[email protected] also has a call-you-back service if you get tired of being on hold they will call back later. They even called me in Cameroon once. Now that is service!

Is really not a happy bunny today, my MISB gandalf arrives arrived today, posted in an envelope!!!!
Not even a padded envelope, just a normal envelopeand the by product?

Well it's not mint anymore, nor sealed really due to the hole in the box from being crushed.
Contents is still good thankfully, but I do like to keep my boxes nice.

Is having a lovely LEGO day!
This morning I took delivery of my lovely Creator treehouse purchased from @scrumper for the fairy bricks challenge and I LOVE it!

The addition of the fairy bricks wand on the box was a lovely touch which made me smile as soon as I saw it.

Now to finish the chores so I can sit down and build it, speed hoovering coming up hehe.

You know when you do a largish BL order, spread over about 8 or 10 stores, and then a few days after you've got most of them, you realise that there's one important, visible piece that you missed, which would only have cost about 8p extra had you ordered it at the time?

    Yeah, that.

Chucking out boxes, trying to make space.

(Yep, I purged myself of the need to keep my boxes some time ago. The relief of being able to just flatten and chuck them out is wonderful).

Joyous day for me - after ringing LEGO CS 2 days ago explaining of a non-delivered parcel, they sent a replacement order via express delivery (at no extra cost and with no fuss) and it arrived today, a day earlier than expected! Now I have a ton of new sets in my building pile, my Legends of Chima character roster is complete to the latest wave and am very happy with LEGO's customer service. Certain company customer service departments (not saying names!) could learn so much from LEGO CS...

The PR has arrived, yay! Now all I have to do is finish sorting all these bricks on my build table, dismantle all the winter village sets I threw in a plastic tub after the New Year, clean up the huge mess that is my storage closet to make room for those sets, drink plenty of water, pay the bills, walk to dog, complete the honey-do list, put the kids to bed and then I can start building it!

Back in Englandland after a week and a half in Belfast, my girlfriend got me loads of Lego it seems, also bought myself some more Lego over there, the Coast Guard ship and little Monster truck and got myself another fine Italian motor vehicle, some interesting luggage placement had to be made to get everything to fit, not all would go in the boot. Useless tarty cars.

Got the Thunder Raider today. Wasn't expecting much, but I was really pleasantly surprised about how well designed it was. The mech looks great, and the Thunder Raider has some cool play features. Definitely recommend it.

Currently waiting on an order of Train wheels from Big Ben Bricks in America. I've come home to a card from Royal Mail, saying there is a fee to pay on my item of £15.19! Bloody customs charges!

Just ordered My #70809 Lord Business' Evil Lair from Amazon which was 20% off, used my Christmas Amazon giftcard, and reward pts for a total of .18 cents out of my pocket. Cant wait to show it to the girl when it comes in. Not telling her about it until it delivers!

Tore open a sealed #7905 Building Crane to put together for a LEGO Movie display for an upcoming event. I actually didn't realize the set was sealed - the seals were pretty worn and I thought they were just loosely placed back on. I opened the box and saw the sealed bags inside. About 3 years ago I had bought a whole bunch of parts and sets (for about $200) from a local AFOL who was ready to move on to other hobbies. This set had just been sitting in a box, waiting for an appropriate day to build it. That would be today.

Finishing a few MOCs for a local LUG display tomorrow. Kicking off the new year with what I hope will be a good showing.
  • BuriedinBricksBuriedinBricks Member Posts: 1,367
@klatu003 - long overdue on this yeti MOC. Was waiting for a few extra slopes to show up so I could finish adding details. Thankfully, my BL order arrived the day before our display event! Wide shot is of our Winter Village: Hoth edition.

Status is exhausted after running a display and play event at a library branch. Easily over 100 young fans of LEGO through the doors, building and enjoying our LUGs creations.

@LegoMom1 You must not watch as many NFL games - cause they have been advertising there for a while.
  • LegoMom1LegoMom1 Member Posts: 651
^ @klatu003- NfL is football, right? Nope, don't watch it, although I do tune in for the Superbowl halftime show. But in my defense as far as sports go, I caught the trailer while watching the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. (Do football fans consider that a sport?) ;)
