Lego building table and such cleared out of the living room in expectation of family arriving. In the middle of building #6289 to add to our collection of ships.

Came home to find my 11/23 VIP day order waiting on my doorstep. The Sopwith Camel #10226, a Christmas surprise for my son. He's been wanting it for quite some time. (Luckily I had just dropped him off at school for Pep Band so he didn't see yet another Lego delivery!) Also, Thanksgiving poly, Santa's Sleigh poly and Decorating the Tree poly. Plus, promo set #2. Wheee. Oh what fun awaits!!!!!

Just opened #10197 Fire Brigade I've had in the closet since 2011 and found out the hard way about the batch 39R1 missing bag issue. Spent 45 minutes getting through the CS phone lines and to a person who was familiar with the issue. They are sending the parts out, should be 7-10 days. So I guess I'm off to open and build #10228 Haunted House instead. Woot!

LEGO.com has some new 2014 City and creator sets listed. Bought the City race car, tow truck, and auto transport. Used my $35 VIP and free shipping. What a deal for brand new sets! :D

After seeing my Town Hall and Palace Cinema sets next together I've completely fallen into the modular craze.

    Heaven help me.

Trying to work on my 'cobble a Green Grocer together as best as I can on the cheap from a bulk buy' plan to help keep me off of here/Amazon buying up neat sets that won't belong with my new modular fetish.

How the hell do I take a proper photo of a 90% black moc to actually see the damn details and not just a shiny shape?

Generally, add light or increase exposure (by way of slower shutter speed, larger aperture, or higher ISO). What kind of camera are you using, how much control do you have over the camera, and what kind of lighting are you using?

Glad to see so many people getting good deals on LEGO over the past few days. Sad that I don't have the spare cash to join them.

I think it's time to expand that Modular Block I have...with all this talk of Modulars lately I think the TH and PC sitting in their respective boxes looking pretty has gone on long enough!

The Winter Village Market looks much better with a Winter Village background especially with the Free Xmas Tree seller and Delivery Truck. :)

After wanting to save space in my City I got the idea to make small modulars out of several of my Creator buildings. Working on Apple Tree House now

Pretty bummed out. I came home from work to find that wonderful UPS sticker on the door. Knowing full well that its my order from Amazon. The sticker says it was left on the porch. I go check and sure enough its not there. I know my UPS guy personally so I trust him....so now i'm pretty bummed out.

Amazing who you bump into in the Lego Store, isn't it? ;-)

May I express my grateful thanks to the ever-lovely Samantha at the Watford Store for pointing Mr Freeman out to me, encouraging me to say hello, and taking the above photo. You're a star, Sam! :-)

No, sorry, @Legobutterfly - the image import didn't seem to work. I've posted the image again via "attach a file". Hope it works this time!

Bummed to find out my [email protected] order placed on Sunday still has not shipped. Called and was told they were swamped with orders and they are taking a little longer than usual to be picked and shipped. Shows all items have been picked, should ship tomorrow.

Worth it I suppose. Kids weren't working well together so cracked open a Bakery as well. :-)

Started my UCS B-Wing #10227 last night and finished it today. It's OK, my least favourite UCS set, and quickest UCS build. When the jewels in the crown are the Imperial Shuttle #10212, R2D2 #10225 and Millenium Falcon #10179, it's got a lot to live up to. Even though it's long, it's size doesn't really impress. Being solid with almost no hollow volume, it doesn't feel huge. I have no room for it - might have to start a bit of rotation, unless I put a few more shelves up. I also have the new UCS X-wing waiting for me for Christmas, and currently have no room for that either.

Spent a couple of hours "fixing" my mothers VW Camper #10220 today, a number of slightly incorrectly placed peices as well as some completely wrong peices. I suppose it is a pretty hard set for a first timer & she did manage to finish the Horizon Express last week.

Now for another set to recommend?

Got my invite for the Lego Minifigures game closed beta earlier this week. So I've been more digital this week than physical with my Lego.

Just finished my PS, and boy, it is freaking beautiful. I love the windows on the town house and the roof of the pet shop.

Three modulars down, five more to go. :( I can live without the CC, but the GG is a really good looking building, but the price sure isn't anything pleasurable to look at. Some day...

EDIT: Also, I was thinking about the corner buildings. LEGO has currently produced 3 corners, but wouldn't the max be 4, in order to create a full "loop" of buildings? But I guess it all depends on how you display them.

I completed the Vpower collection at the weekend so thought I'd celebrate in style on my Lego based FB page with some pictures of the F40 sporting full flaming exhaust like the mighty pre cat eighties ones do so well.

Because of serious space limitations, I had resigned myself to not getting the Winter Village Market this year and getting it next year instead (when I might hopefully have more space). But I caved this morning. I should have known this would happen and ordered it when the promo sets were on offer! Oh well, can't wait to get it, space headache or not.
