^ when I did it the "loose parts" left over became the start of my Bricklink store inventory. I have probably 60lbs of unsorted used parts that I doubt I'll ever get into my inventory because inventorying used parts is a pain. Parting out new sets is so much easier.

I got a bulk order of Lego today and decided to sort on my bed (the only real place there is to do it in what is essentially a dorm room). But then I started reading the hatin' on resellers thread and looky here, it's only an hour before bed and I haven't sorted any Lego!

^Oh let's not drag that (the 'resellers discussions'), into this thread too!

    I am currently watching the fight on goodwill.com over the a #10182 Cafe Corner... http://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/Lego-Caf-Corner-16-13939553.html and a #10186 Green Grocer ... http://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/Lego-Green-Grocer-16-13939758.html
Both are ending in a few hours...should be interesting.

Sorry @LegoMom1, didn't mean to, it was more about the fact that I had all this Lego on the bed and nowhere to put it... alas, it ended up unsorted in an unused drawer, now I've got to start the process over again.

Went shopping and started the S11 minifig hunt today. Had much fun with my little Timmy in the process. Off to our local WHS tomorrow to see if we can add to the collection.

HARD time deciding between the Ewok Village or Sydney Opera House, but in the end the display value of the opera house got me. Even for $70 more

Got 1/3 through bag 2. HUGE, and SOOOO worth the money. So many great parts and techniques like I've never seen before. Definatly one of the best I've ever built.
  • legogallegogal Member Posts: 754
Glad you are enjoying your Sydney Opera House! Clearing the Duplo off our dining room table so we have a place to open our Sydney tomorrow and let the fun begin! Sounds like you made a good decision today....I can't understand how they can charge so much for Ewok Village...it looks like a $99. set to me. What am I missing?

These are the next four Lego sets I will be buying:

    #10220 Volkswagen T1 Camper Van
    #10226 Sopwith Camel
    #10234 Sydney Opera House
    #10236 Ewok Village

I have the money for #10220 and #10226. I will start saving up for #10234 and #10236 but will probably take until 2014.

Just saw Nathan Sawaya's- The Art of the Brick exhibit. If you are able to get to NYC- do not miss this. It was spectacular. Also, at the end, we were given a brick that we wrote our name on and added it to a huge display. The artist will be using these bricks in a future work. Any bricks not used will be donated to a children's charity. Nice going Nathan!

Had a enjoyable AFOL Sunday yesterday. Tea in @Huw 's garden in the morning, then more tea (you can tell I'm British!) In the evening with @sirrich69

^ Then I must have some British blood because I drink a lot of tea! Actually I was just enjoying a cup of tea yesterday while reading an e-mail from @Capnrex101, I almost spit it out when he told me he'd bought the Ewok village already!

Purchased my first custom instructions on Ebay. Now working on creating a big 5500 piece wanted list. Pretty exciting. Reminds me of when I brick linked my ucs falcon.

Purchased #79003 An Unexpected Gathering back in June. Have been enjoying seeing it on the foyer table, unopened, and sometimes picking the box up to give it a little shake now and then just to hear that happy sound of rattling bricks. Trying to see how long I can go without opening it. I'm starting to feel a bit weak lately...

  • Thanos75Thanos75 Member Posts: 1,120
Get an extra one now while they are on sale ....buy two extra ones that way you can combine them into one proper set....feels more complete that way.

  • BumblepantsBumblepants Member Posts: 7,729
^you can just put a # in front of the set number like so #9468
  • Peter1975Peter1975 Member Posts: 166
    OK, thanks Bumblepants.
So, as I said, I'm working on getting the #9468

Woo I've just received my order of greenery parts from LEGO! Lots and lots of plant 'limbs' (including dark orange!) and plants with 3 large leaves :)
  • TheOneVeyronianTheOneVeyronian Member Posts: 1,372
Great to see you got your dark orange leaves @Paperballpark :-) btw, those dark orange plants aren't greenery, they're orangery :-D (sorry, couldn't help it!)
    rancorbait
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
    ^"orangery" ha ha.
  • PaperballparkPaperballpark Member Posts: 4,270
I got dark orange, dark red, dark green, green, olive green, pretty much every colour it's still possible to get all the plant 'limbs' in (except bright green, as I'd already got tonnes of those from the Manc PAB wall).
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
^Where exactly did you order from? PAB?
  • TheOneVeyronianTheOneVeyronian Member Posts: 1,372
^ Most likely the Customer Service Bricks and Pieces selection (a bit different from PaB as they sell a far wider range of elements direct). Same place you'd go to request a missing part, but instead click 'I want to buy a piece'.
  • Peter1975Peter1975 Member Posts: 166
    I buy mine on johnbrickstore.com
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
^^ Thanks, better selection of minifigures to?
  • PaperballparkPaperballpark Member Posts: 4,270
^ It is the Customer Service Bricks & Pieces. You can't order whole minifigs, just the component parts (hair, heads, torsos, legs etc).

I've now finished my first MOC! :) I'll post pics in a bit, once I've taken some.
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
There doesn't appear to be an 'I want to buy a piece' option.
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
    Never mind, I just turned 18 ;-)
  • PaperballparkPaperballpark Member Posts: 4,270
Ta-da! Here we go, my first MOC.
  • LegoMom1LegoMom1 Member Posts: 651
^^&^^^- As a woman, I should be insulted by this, but as the mom of a teenage boy, I get the off color humor. Pretty clever there @rancorbait. Are you taking lessons from @Pitfall69?
