Just had the Coast guard truck and boat set #60012 purchased for me, looks like it could be the last one for some time, automotive costs are about to be £££££ for the dreaded clutch slip...

@Big_Blue_Winky- If you recall, awhile back I offered you 1 skydiver and 2 mechanics for that blue beauty. Should have taken me up on the offer while you had the chance. Bad clutch? The offer is no longer on the table! :)

I do recall that indeed, ironically I now actually have 1 Skydiver and 2 mechanics, how peculiar.
I had a look at it as I considered doing it myself, then just went NOOOOO! So no I've to book it in to a specialist somewhere as a lot of people have actually turned down the job, the things we do for what we love eh!
Still I have plenty of other toys at my disposal and my Lego City is coming on quite splendidly, rejiggered it recently.

Depressed weekend feeling sad about my upcoming Lego budget diet to make way for the new car payments =( One last Rancor pit without guilt. And a Friends Yacht for the gf. And a Marvel SH Iron Patriot pre-order. And set aside a small stipend for CMF S11. *sigh* I'm a Lego fattie...

Frustrated... As my Jabba's palace and Pit MOC lay in pieces all over the floor where I dropped it last night...

Exactly. Reduce the size of the hose with a cardboard roll and tape or similar - concentrated suction power!

Add me to the list too :-)

@Geddes - the packages open and reseal so just carefully push it back out from the inside and you should be good. See @Brickdancers comments in the SDCC thread.

I have a Superman with packaging that needs fixing. Someone else care to fly down here and correct it? I'm nervous and my fingers are shaking..

There, there, we're all Lego fatties here, we understand your pain, we can diet together, damn cars eating into lego funds, we need to feed our addictions!

@Big_Blue_Winky I thought I kicked the octane habit a few years ago when my turbo motor blew up at 100mph+. But here we go again, on a new binging spree.

We might be the only kindred souls on this board. Maybe you can be Lego Support Buddy? I'll need some moral support for my first 10K reaming servicing.

Found the minifig character encyclopedia at my local price club. 30% off list. Finally, a toy soldier for my Christmas village display.

Is really struggling to resist the urge to buy more LEGO, sure I don't TECHNICALLY need it, but I really do need and want more sooo bad.

CMFs finishing my S7 (Ocean King, Grandma Visitor, Rocker, Daredevil, Viking Woman, Galaxy Patrol) and some of S8 (Alien Villianess and LEderhosen) arrived

No building today, lots of cleaning in my storage area though! So I'm not totally embarrassed when I was entertaining earlier today XD

Went looking for The Orc Forge today at our fairly new Target store and was pleased to not only find it but find it at 50% off! So i bought 2!

You make it sound like we are a club @BrickDancer. Your description of spiderman is spot on. Looks beautiful up close. I am now torn between Green Arrow and Spiderman.

@samiam391 I fixed my superman case as best as I could, and I noticed the fold out card it is a nice touch.

The Octane (or Octan should we say?) habit is impossible to kick, it's like TVRs no matter how much hassle they have been I always find myself crawling back to them.

The Lego support group for those who need more but end up being bummed by cars and their needy service intervals.

@Geddes, @BrickDancer, @samiam391, @Brick_Obsession and @PlayFTL - Wait for me, I am off the mark now with this year's SDCC Minifigs. If you are having any secret club meetings, leave me a seat open!

Just leaving Tesco, shopping for a picnic/bbq for @Jenni and her family are staying with us.

Anyways, bagged up the groceries and loaded up the trolley. Cashier said, "Are you collecting stickers?" A great big smile spread across my face.

She only asked because you were wearing your I <3 STICKERS t shirt, cap and flip flops

Trying to decide if I want to do a Super Heroes MOC using Marvel or DC characters. I'm leaning toward DC, since there appears to be more villains to work with.

^Ah I forgot to check for double sided faces. Very subtle for Green Arrow. Debating if I should have Supes with Laser vision or not. Can't check right now but does Spider Woman have a second face?

And I'm digging the Iron Patriot!

^ Spiderwoman does indeed have two faces, one angry and the other smiling. They look great @Geddes!

overwhelmed by the size of the completed model! Now to find a place to put it...

Spent hours yesterday assembling mini figures, 89 is the current count with probably another 120 to go from our recent purchase of bulk. What possesses children to pull the arms off mini figures, and worse to chew on them?
  • LegobutterflyLegobutterfly Member Posts: 488
^ I have an arm remover, not a chewer I hasten to add. For him it is that he likes to mix and match to create figures that he would like but are not made. Guessing some kids do it for other reasons too though, not too much fun for you to reconstruct either way I would imagine.

Have finally finished making room on my shelves for the new sets on the way, considering I still have a small Lego collection and only 4 medium sized shelves, it took ages lol. Constantly moving things around, making sure its in just the right place :)

    @brickdancer level 3?
  • samiam391samiam391 Member Posts: 4,507
    @Geddes:

    2011- Level 1
    2012- Level 2
    2013- Level 3

Personally, my wallet is hoping that I've already won the game, and that there isn't a level 4.

I am on Level 2 in that case I suppose.

I would not be surprised if the exclusives ended this year to be honest. There has been so much backlash (although I do not agree with it) that LEGO may struggle to continue these exclusive releases.
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
I'm with Sam on this one. I would be happy to end the story with 2013 and not see any more SDCC Superheroes, my wallet is exhausted.

  • samiam391samiam391 Member Posts: 4,507
    @Geddes-

    2011- Level 1
    2012- Level 2
    2012- Bonus Mission Level 2a
    2013- Level 3
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
@Geddes its the Bonus "Expert Level" that only a few dare to take on.
  • RennyRenny Member Posts: 1,145
Status today is excited. Have about 150 lotr mini figs on the way and I just won a helms deep set (pieces only) for $50 which I will use to help expand my built one.
  • CapnRex101CapnRex101 Administrator Posts: 2,364
@Renny - Wow, are all of those 150 Minifigures Uruk-Hai or have you bought every Lord of the Rings Minifigure at once?

Similar to how I felt as the original SW licence was coming to an end. "No more UCS, please?!"
  • Si_UKNZSi_UKNZ Member Posts: 4,179
I think anyone with the UCS MF is going to feel like that.
  • RennyRenny Member Posts: 1,145
@CapnRex101, it's about 80 uruk-hai, 20 elves from CMF series 3, 25 rohan soldiers, and a mixture of Uruk Berserkers, medieval peasents, blacksmiths and a couple kids.
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
@Legoboy I'm with you on that one too! After the Matrix rebooted with the X-wing, I'm secretly hoping for the next one to be a TIE Interceptor. That way I can smoothly exit this wallet killing machine that is SW UCS.
