I had a dream last night about being at a PAB wall in a new city and finding out they had candy in some of the bins. Wait correct that, it was a nightmare.

You were lucky you didn't wake up with a mouthful of Bricks :)

Does he live on Elm Street?

I'm sitting here, reading this thread, in its entirety....a very English community. I like saying "fancies" instead of "wants", now. For example, I fancy a chocolate milkshake with whip cream and a cherry on top.

    Hope that wasn't ignorant....

Just purchased #4656 the harbour thingumy from my local Toy master for a rather splendid price too, can't wait to build it.

Bought the Council of Elrond last night at Target. Hugo Weaving is a favorite actor of mine having did the Matrix movies, LotR, and V for Vendetta. Hope he pops up in Star Wars 7....

I'm at Legoland Billund and 3 min ago i saw LEGO CEO Jørgen V. Knudstorp pass by me with his daughter. :-) Was close to stop him and thank him for saving LEGO for us. :-)

Got the Batman tumbler chase set today, but on my way home it dawned on me... I already have it! I had to sneak it into my closet when I got home.

It's been all buying and almost no building lately so I've lost track of my stuff apparently. Going to find something to open tonight!

While hiding in the washroom at work this afternoon (no tea breaks allowed), I found one of the MMMB Crab polys in my pocket - so there I was, sitting in a cubicle (seat down and trousers up, naturally), happily building a very nice little set which I proudly showed off to my colleagues when I got back...and having just re-read what I've written, I suddenly understand their looks of horror when I described where I built it....! 8-O

The Black Gate really captures the essence of the film set. But it needs to be 4 times bigger. :(
The Eagle is really good but also needs to be 4 times bigger.
I guess I'll have to build one. :)
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
@LostInTranslation- I have a few from my Agents sets, they are cool. I think the best set for silver pieces is #8634. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=8634-1

Then might I suggest the Creator Eagle set. Up until recently that is where my Gandalf was...

^^ That would be cool but the price would be 4 times higher. ;-)

Went into the office a bit later today to find some tosser had parked in my space!! Not seen this car before. I wonder if the guy's a registered Brickset user? If so, please don't park there tomorrow.

^ The number plate says it's an Ultimate Collector's Series car! :-D

Sorry, another of my famously bad observational jokes. Hope you see the funny side of it :-P

    @TheOneVeyronian

You're West London according to your intro thread. Tell me that's not your car!

@Legoboy No, I don't own a car, or even drive (haven't begun driving lessons yet), or work, so it definitely isn't my car, I can assure you. ;-)

I was also in Surrey today, so absolutely definitely not me :-) But I do hope you find out who parked in your space.

Just making a bad joke about the fact that the number plate said 'UCS' on it really. :-P

Not happy. Spent a ton of VIP points today. I've been saving and saving and saving, although don't know what for!! Five years I've been saving and 3 year's worth are due to expire and the end of the year. Not good.

@samiam391- Good to hear, I am in desperate need of a cloud city boba fett and I don't have the money.
  • TheOneVeyronianTheOneVeyronian Member Posts: 1,372
^^^ Hard to know when to let go of those VIP points isn't it? Built up over 1800 points in the last 6 months and on numerous occassions thought 'I'm gonna spend them on this', then I don't end up using them and get another 200 added on the pile.
All I know is, there'll be a big parcel stuffed with Lego that cost me next to nothing coming to a doorstep near me in August!
  • samiam391samiam391 Member Posts: 4,505
@rancorbait- I'm... um... fresh out. Sorry.... I do have this series 10 mechanic though. I'm sure that more than covers the former.
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
@samiam391- I guess I could settle for the mechanic, thanks for the offer. ;-)

Thankful to be able to use FB/YouTube/see blogs again!

It's unbelievable how much LEGO goodness you miss out on because of it...

My wife was under the impression that I allow our almost-three-year-old son to play with my personal collection of minifigures. Superman's cape is now in two pieces. :/

To be fair, though, my son has a small collection of his own City sets with minifigures, and I have a bunch of old minifigures from my childhood which I occasionally let him play with. I certainly don't expect her to know which is which.

Went up to Smyths Toys at Cribbs Causeway when I finished work a couple of hours ago and bought the last #76005.
The bloke behind the counter told me the Lone Ranger sets will be going out as soon as they arrive. He didn't know when that would be though, but did tell me he thought there was a delivery due Tuesday (If I'm remembering what he said correctly).

Happy to find some Friends school supplies at TRU. Couldn't resist picking up #41013 Friends Emma's Car while there and talked hubby into #60022 City Cargo Terminal. I generally won't pay the inflated prices at TRU but hubby isn't up to the extra distance and walking to go to the Lego Store.

Finishing up my goblin king battle set so I can justify taking in apart for parts, reading more in the Lego book while basking in the sun on the beach and maybe taking a stab at the stagecoach escape at some point.

I was just at my local Wal-Mart and guess what I found in the parking lot?...
A sealed series 9 Waiter, at first I thought it was just an empty package, but no harm in checking right? I guess someone must have dropped it and not noticed.

You're just going to have to build the rest death star to match. Then you can put the bay on your death star. Problem solved.

Probably somewhere around 10k. I'm basically redoing my entire system for non-set parts.

Don't worry, I've had quite a few of those dreams myself ;-) It's perfectly normal AFOL behaviour ;-)

If all my dreams became real, I'd be overloaded with Mr Golds!

Saw The Lone Ranger last night and Man of Steel the night before. Now I have a desperate desire to buy all the sets from both themes, loved the movies. I would have done it already if the licensed sets hadn't been so darn expensive here. I'm also super excited about all the Lego news from recent days: SDCC exclusives, proper pics of BTTF DeLorean which is being unveiled tommorow, the news about The LEGO Movie sets, minifigs and merchandise in general, and that DC Super Heroes set. And SDCC hasn't even started yet! It will surely knock my socks off. I'm so hyped these days!

I'm currently in shock. I ordered a Lego set and some PaB on Monday Morning. Both of them landed on my doorstep just now!

Surely a new PaB speed record? 52 hours from order confirmation to receiving order? They usually take 13 working days, this one took 2 and a half! :-)

A 10/10 to S@H for that one, especially since my last PaB order took 2 weeks to arrive!

Just got a call from a coworker- his boys are growing out of Lego, he's offering me first dibs on everything he has- which is basically ALL of Star Wars (except for the big sets), several Harry Potter castles, and tons of other vintage Lego.

21050 came in at my store today - man, it feels weird to hold a set in my hands without having already seen hi-res pictures from GRogall.
