As it has three wheels, it should be Sora's Mech Trike Racer. ;)
Then it's off to the park for a Picnic Table Build and a chance to see the bison.
I just tried to take their GWP survey. For a couple of questions that were "select all that apply", for me it was none. But it woyld let me submit the survey until I picked one. To me, the results of the survey are meaningless if you force someone to select something that doesn't apply for them: how can you tell a true answer from a forced random choice?
Then when it finally let me "submit"... I got an "Error! We were unable to complete" or words to that effect.
Why do I bother? I'm sick and tired of surveys for almost everything. I'm almost to the point of becoming a "Karen" and demanding to talk to the manager any time anyone mentions a survey.
It could be said I have too many Lego sets. I wouldn't say that. Other people say it about me.
BS Meter says: "MAN THE LIFEBOATS!"
#40504 is 599DKK and you can get 2
#21037 is 449DKK and you can get 3 of these. #40501 the duck and #40503 Dagny Holm
are the same price and the same limit of 3 of each.
Had an email from an online LEGO shop where I've bought hard to find polybags in the past, pre order for #30653 the new 1992 Batman one, placed an order and got an email receipt with a Friends and Family 5% discount code. So if theres anything you want from the shop drop me a message and I'll send the code over. Not affilaited with the store ata ll, just sharing the plastic brick love!
My grandfather and his siblings grew up in an orphanage. They didn't often get any sort of treat. When my Great Aunt Marian grew up and was out on her own, she decided she would have ice cream whenever she wanted. In later years, she could date photographs of herself by her size- "the ice cream years".
She lived to age 97!
Now I'm headed to the store to look for those Ninjago BAM parts!
Finally got the pieces I was missing for my MOCed 1950s Dinner (mostly on the billboard). Also deep into a Stuntz buying spree with all the recent sales on Amazon... Only missing 4 sets now I think... There are some great bikers in there, and others who are just random mashups of pieces, such inconsistency.
1992 Keaton, best Batman ever.
I was lucky enough to be able to shoehorn in a single day at the con piggybacking it onto a preplanned family trip. The dates just lined up perfectly. But even just attending for the single day was absolutely amazing. The builds were mind blowing. Some of the collaborations were massive on a scale that simply defies explanation.
I'll just leave this here as an example:
And not only the builds, but the people too. This is THE con for all of the social media influencer crowd, seemingly every big YouTube, Tik Tok, and Instagram persona was there, plus I believe about 2/3 or so of all of the US LEGO Masters contestants. I also got to meet in person many folks I've gotten to know online from various realms.
I'm on that family vacation now, so I'm sure I'll talk more about it after I'm back home, but it was quite a whirlwind experience for sure. I would really, really love to be able to come back again sometime for the full convention.
I saw it on the shelf at the Lego store and was surprised!
I have sand green Yoda and olive green Yoda. Of course I need lime green Yoda!
For those feeling like they missed out on this year's big convention, BrickFair Virginia is the first weekend in August and is comparably as large. It's an event I look forward to every year.
Well... I finally got around to actually getting them done and mounted today!
I'm very happy with how they came out! The basic mounting methodology works very well. I'm really happy to have these figs now all out where I can easily enjoy them (this display is the complete set of all the Guardians of the Galaxy minifigs).
They did have 6x8 white plates. I'll likely go back and snag a large cup of those at least. Not many good elements I could use as filler around the plates. Maybe there will be something new between when I was there on Monday and when I go back either tomorrow or Friday?
