Extracting a tiny shard of a 1x10 dark brown plate that shattered and got stuck in my 13 yr olds finger while he was taking a project apart. Ridiculous
Dark brown and Reddish Brown... It is the only thing that literally makes me question collecting Lego.. I know they said they fixed them but I have yet to see improvements in those colours. Hope the kid is ok, some of those pieces can cause nasty splinters.

    @560Heliport, Happy early birthday!

I was just informed that there is a season in Yellowstone park referred to as "Red Dogs" season where all the Bison have their calves. Apparently they all look like "little" red haired dogs running around. Thinking I will need to drive down and see it for myself this year.

Many Bison Birthday Wishes coming your way!

Thank you all! I'm heading to the park shortly. I'll post pictures of the bison if they're close enough.

Well, the bison were on the far side of the paddock, too far for photos. I couldn't see the calves, I think they were lying with their mothers, who were just visible.
But I've seen some birds, and heard more.
I'm down at the river. There's a turtle on a log enjoying the sun.

Thanks, @MaffyD! I seldom get Lego as gifts because everyone figures "he probably already has that..."
I bought #71784 Jay's Lightning Jet EVO.  A couple of months ago, I found #41679 Forest House for 70% off at Target. And I've got several Nexo Knights sets I bought on clearance that I've been saving for some special occasion.
Ninjago, Friends, and Nexo Knights on a picnic table... This is the way!  :-D

My campsite is right next to a slough, so I hear a number of frogs singing... every once in a while, they're all quiet at the same time!
I also heard a mourning dove and red-wing blackbirds, and I saw two hummingbirds.
I haven't seen any squirrels yet, but I'm sure they're around.

I mean... 90s Space is my jam!
But I need to let my bank account rest for a hot minute after my con spending spree.

Speaking of cons...any other pictures of your display from your recent con?

Or did you post already and I missed them?

No, they're coming still! I need to sort through them and get a post together. I have well over 100 photos of my layout, so I just need to pick out a good selection of the best ones! I was hoping to get to it this week, but work has been very annoyingly work-y!

Got an extra purple triangle tile in my #41732 Friends Ikea. Much more exciting than missing a piece although I did recheck the directions 3x to make sure I hadn't overlooked where it went.

Been working on my castle, slow and steady no compromising. Often I get impatient when I build and parts of the build see quick fixes that work but don't look as good as they should. This time it is slow building but each problem I encounter I sit there and trial and error solutions until I get it looking as best as I can. So far it has been greatly rewarding as I have ended up with one of the best looking castle buildings I have ever made. At the rate I am going I should have a masterpiece worthy of all the great castles I see all over the internet that I study for hours on end in about a year lol.

Also in happy news my largest PAB order receipt just went into my email and it shows shipped.. No tracking number but shipped! Ordered it a month ago and looking forward to it as I have never ordered so many parts at once.. Now if only the other 3 PAB orders that followed it would ship to lol.

    Good luck!

I get my two outstanding PAB orders (from the 17th and 18th of last month) tomorrow.  DHL handed them off to the USPS last night.  Anxiously awaiting so I can get to building this nonsense I designed ^_^

I forgot about a small order of Standard PAB parts I ordered on 4/29.  Just got notice of a new charge on my credit card so apparently they're in the process of shipping.  I already received the Bestseller part of the order a couple of weeks ago that took way longer to arrive than it should have.

Got my parts on Friday.  And... have yet to do a thing with them just yet.

This represents the parts to build one thing I designed (which I plan to take to a con later this year), parts to expand my city's footprint with more streets and stuff, and some random parts 'cause some random parts.

@Bumblepants I need to see your whole Ninjago city, it looks like you have some mocs and some modified modular buildings in there?

  • BumblepantsBumblepants Member Posts: 7,729
@WesterBricks I will post pictures if/when I get more finished. I'm finally getting a chance to work on it. The modified buildings you refer to are nods to the mods as it were, in this case there is Green Grocer and the Ace Detective Office.

Status? Frustrated! I'm at the Lego store at Mall of America, store opens in 15 minutes, and the system is not ringing up the June 1st sets: Ninjago, Friends, and Harry Potter. It's a company-wide problem. So they're taking names and phone numbers so they can contact us when it's fixed- but they don't know when that might be. They will hold the sets we're after. I figure I might as well check PAB and BAM and linger awhile and hope it gets resolved.

Sorry for your frustrations, really glad I decided against a drive to the store now. Embarrassing for them to mess up like that.

Nothing I want in PAB or BAM. Since I'm at the mall, I checked Barnes & Noble- I forgot they don't carry Ninjago anymore. Checked another toy store - nope. I'm not far from Hub Hobby, where I got #75348 and #75346 a week early. Might as well check there!

No luck at Hub, also the nearest Target... The quest continues...
FYI Hub Hobby in Richfield does have the new Jurassic Park sets.

Trying to be patient for 2x VIP points & the next round of GWP's.   Also probably a good portion of the sets I want will most likely start showing up at Costco in a few months when they start bringing in the toys for the holidays.

Still haven't heard from the store. I find it ridiculous that they can't manually enter prices- they know which sets are affected!

Their new register less checkout process seems to be riddled with issues.  Don't know if your store is using that yet.  Last time I was in my local store they spent over a half hour trying to figure out how to get the cash drawer to open from their hand held devices.  Fortunately it wasn’t my purchases as I was busy at the PAB wall and checked out using my credit card.  I think they still had the registers @ the Disney Springs store last week.  Good luck with your pending purchases.

Yes, new tech is always better, right? 🙄
I tried to use my VIP points at checkout a month or two ago, but they hadn't figured out how to do that. So a few days ago I used my points to buy two $5 vouchers so I'd be ready for today...
Does this mean they don't accept cash now? WTF?

Edit: I just reread your post, I guess they still accept cash... If they can get the drawer open...

Someone from the Lego store called an hour ago. The prodlem was not fixed by midafternoon as they'd hoped. They thought it would be fixed by tomorrow, so they suggested I call tomorrow around 10:30 or 11:00 (store opens at 10:00) and see what's what.
It's working online, so I could order one to be delivered. I very much prefer to drive the 13 miles/21 km to the store, rather than wondering if my package will get stolen.

I recently sold a few sets, so I just placed seven BrickLink orders to complete a few other sets I'm going to sell, add a few minifigures to my display case, complete a few sets in my personal collection, and add some fun minifigure parts to my parts selection.  It's going to be fun to check the mailbox every day over the next few weeks.

The Explorien droid (SP011) is expensive, but I need it since I have the Spyrius droid, the Insectoid droid, and the UFO droids.  The minifigure-based droids of the mid-90s were a critical element of my formative years.

I felt the same way! The Spyrius droid is another one of my top all-time favorite minifigures, so a couple years back I went down the rabbit hole of getting all of the other droid minifigs, and the Explorien version was an absolute must!

Ha! I took the easy way, and just bought all the Space sets from 1990-1998. Well, almost all. Didn't get some of the smaller Insectoids.
