Thank you everyone. Fighting off a dose of manflu with Whisky and paracetamol! Finished off the Spaceman mosaic with Mrs Speedy building the last three sections, while I framed it all up. Got to decide whats next from the pile!

Called the LEGO store about how many Rivendells they would have for Sunday and was met with "We can't talk about that, why?".
Why do you think?  I was planning on getting one and wanted to know how limited the offering was going to be so I could plan accordingly. It wasn't a problem when I was asking about the Eiffel Tower lol.  Seems more of a hassle now.  I was kind of on the fence about it the past couple days.  I might just place an order for a bunch of smaller stuff, get the moving truck, leave a bunch of money leftover, and not waste my day on Sunday.

You might want to give The Great Wave set a miss for your next build item, give your thumbs a rest from all those 1x1s! Looks like you have a nice little selection of vehicles to build though...
  • Speedman29Speedman29 Member Posts: 2,311
Actually @PJ76uk the Spaceman art was easier on the thumbs than Batman, the 1x1 round tiles were far more pleasant to click in place! I have the house to myself tomorrows, I think the Wave will get started

My take on this is that the answer is that this is what is means: 'We expect to not have near enough, and management has been very clear that we are NOT allowed to play favorites in any way, so we're zipping our lips to avoid any potential problems.'

It's very in line with how much of a pita it was to get answers to questions around #75192 when it's release date was approaching.

@Speedman29 forgot that one was tiled! Having done a couple of the Lego Art combined (3x sets) images I know how much it hurts when it's 1x1 round plates hence my comment! 😂

Started sorting an auction lot I won a couple of weeks ago.  Lots of parts from the Crestor Expert Roller Coaster but I doubt it's all there.  Only found 1 car from the ride vehicles so far, but lots of the red Rail Pieces & the white 2x2 rounds and maybe about 1/2 of the 16x16 green Plates.  Some old Pirate theme parts but nothing major yet, old printed Parrot, a couple of Flags and the Cannon Barrel, some Palm Leaves were there but all are broken.  Also some random minifig parts including a Batman Cowl and two capes. And some random Super Mario stuff.

^ Crossing my fingers you find enough of the roller coaster. It's a fun set.  I also extracted mine from a collection I bought, there were easily 75 pounds of parts to dig through.

My dad surprised me with #76916 this morning. Him and I watched this car race IRL at the Rolex 24 in January and apparently he got an email ad from Walmart recently announcing its March 1 release. Lucky me since this was one I planned to buy soon!

The obvious Pirate Cannon Flag in the auction pictures is what got me to bid in addition to a 16x32 Baseplate with Beach Pattern and a Suspension Bridge (turned out it's not Lego), and the obvious multiples of some other baseplates.  I did notice the Roller coaster tracks but was hoping for a bit more pirate stuff.  I'm only about 1/3 of the way through sorting so hoping to find a few more interesting items eventually.  The lot was just over 20 pounds so not too big.  Those larger lots go for way more $ than I'd like to gamble on.  I did get a couple of good lots with a bunch of old Harry Potter stuff a couple of years ago.  It's really hard to judge when there's only a couple of pictures posted.  The pirate ones usually end up way out of my price range.  May have to bid on another obvious roller coaster one eventually to try to complete.

I just opened #75345... and the minifigures are missing. Looking at the inside of the box, I can see where the bottom seam was cut and then reglued. From the outside it looks normal. I bought this a few weeks ago at Walmart; I didn't save the receipt.

Maybe LEGO could/would replace them? My LEGO status: still storing, reading Joshua with my brother, working through the '23 SCs...

Getting the courage to take out of the car boot my recent great find of Hogwarts Express #75995 that is 100% complete and immaculate and was in the window of a local bookshop!

I say I'm getting the courage, because if the wife sees it, I have to explain why it's there and needing to be added to my pile of shame!

Finally got round to adding recent acquisitions of 30xxx polys to the ACM. Still missing 4 polys from 2022 though (as well as a couple released in 2023) - a state of affairs which will most definitely need to be addressed asap! :-D

Got a shipping confirmation today.  Thought it would be for the Wall-E brickhead I ordered a week ago or maybe the Modular Construction Site preparing to ship.  Nope.  It was (8) 2x8 bricks from a [email protected] order back in November that was OoS at the time of shipping.  LEGO could have never shipped me them and I would have forgotten all about them.

Nice haul there @Legopants I've seen three of those 2023 polys in the UK, the other 8 or 9 that I want will probably end being bought for a silly price on Ebay as we seem to suffer from poor poly selection

I fear you are correct... I reckon we're after the same polys as well. If I spot any, I'll let you know. :-)

Time to finish or partial finish the basement?  Carpet tiles/squares have become quite common now and found in Home Depot and Lowes not just on line.  And soon time for duplo…..

    Congrats on the baby.
I actually tried to sell this idea to the Mrs a year ago but she wouldn't budge as I wanted the basement and lego room lol. Right now though it will be tricky to fit the lego room stuff down there with all the other stuff down there (Spare lego, Gym Equipment, My military equipment, family dumping grounds lol).

@EGRoberts if I were you, I'd open those 501st battle packs and make sure everything is present. Better to know now, than to find out a few years from now, when it will probably cost a lot more to rrplace them.

Sorting through a pirates/castle/western bulk lot, pulling out sets based on special bricks that I see. So far pulledd out 3 sets, all 3 having some missing pieces, but over 95% complete: sherrif's lock-up #6744, #6716 weapon cart and #6259 broadside's brig.

    Today I plan on extracting #6706, #6712 and #6273

Congratulations! I would second the suggestion to start buying those Duplo ASAP! There are some great sets but the secondary market is brutal!

Got another 11 sets out of the bulk pieces. Main attraction being #6273 only missing 4 pieces (regular ones) and the old Forestemen hideout missing around 10-15 pieces, none of them major. Pity I have so few old light grey spares, specially slopes or tiles or plates with some kind of clips seem to be missing in most of these sets.

My LEHO status! Chuffed! (Thanks, British Bricksetters, for teaching me that one!)
On Friday, I ordered #80041 and #80043. 3-5 business days for delivery, I figured Wednesday to Friday this week. UPS tracking says "estimated by 7 p.m. Tuesday."

Looking at the new releases in Target
#41729 has a young woman with 1 hand and #41755 has a dog with wheels for vad legs ... nice disability figures (and I liked dino shirt girl 41729) but no sets I particularly want as a whole

As my trip to Disneyland winds down I managed to get the BAM station shut down at the Downtown Disney Lego Store today.  There was nothing new added other than what I found last week but but I figured I'd pick up one more three pack of what decent newish parts they had.  Turned out there were absolutely no normal minifig legs to be found, just the short ones & some skirt pieces.  They let me grab a few legs from the Minifigure Factory and when I went back to the BAM tower they had shut it down due to the lack of legs and were emptying everything out of it.  I insisted they let me grab some accessories to complete my pack since I had already gathered everything else I wanted.  Who knew they hadn't received any legs in their shipment?
They had just gotten in Lavender Limb Elements as well as the 1x6x6 white door frames, 4x6 plates in Dark Stone Gray, 6x8 plates in White and a few other plates that they didn't have last week so I loaded up a few PAB cups.
