Puzzled... last Sunday I found 2 Spacemen CMF's at Utrecht Lego Store (after mis-feeling 2 others at the Intertoys), and fiddled around with them a bit whilst watching telly on Monday or Tuesday evening adding Benny and his Pink friend to a little display.
Vividly remember putting the Spacemen and both other CMFs (Orc and Conservationist) back into the pink baggies the same evening, and putting them somewhere in our living room whilst thinking "ooh will those be safe, will the boys find them" for a brief moment.

And new they are nowhere to be found, and for the life of my I cannot recall where I put them - the boys didn't take them (there would be evidence in the form of baggies on the floor). My wife thinks I accidentally threw them away, I can't really imagine I did so...
yesterday I was taking out the recycling and came a across an unsorted box of milk cartons, cardboard, plastics and other mess… and there they were! Guess my wife was partially right anyway (how much I hate to admit that… ;)).

Glad I did check all of the boxes before simply dumping them into the cardboard-container in our neighborhood… 😁

@Switchfoot55 if they are a scammer it’s likely they are sending the funds from somebody else’s compromised bank account. The payment could get returned by the funding bank. I would make the seller wait at least 2 weeks from the date you deposit the funds to make sure they don’t get returned.

Popped into Tescos to grab food while away with friends and found to me surprise some polybags!

@Speedman29 I'm already tucked up in my bed but now I am thinking "Oooh...Tesco is still open this time of night".
Was it just those 3 bags?

There was a Duplo one as well. I thought there was usually six different polys in a box, might try another Tescos in the week to see

    That's such a gorgeous ship @pxchris !
I wish I'd been out of my DA when this was released. I've got PoBB and really need a good "good guys" ship to go with it, so I'm hoping that TLG one day release something similar to this again.

Popped into one while I was out today - they also had #30503 duck etc (although they could be leftovers from before Christmas) and #30641 3 in 1 Panda/Penguin/Orca.

I remember when the Imperial Flagship came out, AFOLs on the web were ecstatic that the government faction finally had a larger ship than the pirate faction. ... PoBB and the Creator pirate ship are really good sets, but I still wish I hadn't missed Brickbeard's Bounty, the Imperial Flagship, and the Brick Bounty. The two pirate Bounties leave somethiing to be desired in their features and their crews, but those three ships are IMO among the best-looking Pirates ships ever.

And IFS is almost detailed enough for a museum display, despite scaling to be among the very smallest of warships--for her length and gun-count she really should only have two masts as a brig-sloop, a full three-masted "ship rig" usually started around the 16-gun rating, but she captures the feel of a sailing warship nicely.

We have this mental picture of pirate ships as large and heavily armed, but most were up-gunned small merchies that the 32-gun Queen Anne's Revenge looked like a battleship in comparison to.

Seems like most of the best sets ever were released 2007-2012 (ish). Unfortunately I was just getting into lego at that time and the thought of spending 150 euros on a modular for example just baffled me.
On the status side... Bought a lot of minifigs very randomly put together, very poor picture quality, but I did see Boromir's torso and legs, then his hair on another fig. Heads are impossible to distinguish. Then saw the Sam torso with Cape and hair on another fig. That was enough for me to order. Anxious to find out what the other 78 figs are (although most are 2000-2010 era town/city/other random stuff, but also saw some castle helmets and torsos).
Anyway Thursday can't come quick enough... Super excited.

Tesco Express near us always has 4 polys - normally Duplo, Friends, City & Technic - occasionally it's Speed Champions instead of one of them. I saw these earlier this week. I've never seen 6, but would love to be corrected!

There's a special place in hell for people listing multiple minifigure lots with parts mixed between those lots. Because of course, that Aayla headpiece works so much better on a city policeman in another 40-minifig lot.
    /end rant

Hey, how did you know I need an aayla hair piece? This is what I got in the previous Legoredo lot:
Do you have one by any chance? The hair piece is almost as much as the entire fig on BL.

I'd say it depends on the price- if it comes to a dollar or two per figure, it might be worth it.
I hate things like a supposedly SW minifig- it's got clone trooper legs, stormtrooper torso, and a snowtrooper helmet. Okay, those are all SW parts- but then they price it at $7? No.
Or used sets that are "99% complete". What parts are missing?

Counted up the pieces and prices for the studs on the Darth Vader portrait.  The price for just the studs came to $160 which is more than I thought it would come to.

Not sure if you've already posted but do you have a comparison between the IFS and PoBB (ship form obviously!)?

    (joking)

congrats on the new house, sorting is always easier in groups while chatting, joking etc. I usually have some guys from my Lug over when I buy a big lot for example, and I get invited to their place when they need help in this domain as well.usually, a big box is done in 1-2 hours if you have help and a good organizational model that is easy to follow.

Thanks! I am thinking of inviting some friends over to help sorting, that would be good, have some beers, no snacks haha, don't want greasy fingers all over my bricks... :P

Not really a direct comparison... but this pic has the Flagship set in front of the PoBB BSB.
The Flagship still ends up dwarfing even this mighty pirate ship!

Wondering now if I should apologize to @Lo1sJessbecause she helped me get the Boy Scout torso, that now won't be Russell. Fortunately, it can be another scout.

@Modeltrainman there are never enough scouts!  Unless you’re about 4 days in on a 7 day camp without any electronics or phones, in the evening when they’re whinny, complaining is grating on the nerves.  Usually nerves recover, ease and strengthen back up by day 6😁

Bit of an update on a recent sale through Facebook Marketplace.

The buyer agreed to the price and to pay through PayPal. Payment was initiated two weeks ago, but only just cleared this past Saturday as it came through as an eCheck. For those who have experience with such things, is there any way for this payment to not clear or be taken out of my account at this point? Can the buyer cancel the payment and leave me stuck with no LEGO and no money?

I believe it was suggested previously to wait to ship the set for a period of time AFTER the eCheck had cleared. However, just trying to clarify if that is indeed necessary? The buyer is getting anxious to have me ship. I'd like to assume this is all proper. That eCheck is just really throwing me off.

Yesterday I placed my first Lego order of the year, and was shocked when later than night I got an email saying it had already been dispatched! Can't wait for the log cabin. Just annoying the cost is 1p below the GWP so have to order some small random thing to get over the finish line.

It has been many moons since I worked with an eCheck as a buyer or as a seller, but in general, once the money is in your account (the eCheck "clears"), it is yours and the only way they can take it back is by requesting a refund (which you can decline) or by opening a "Not as described" case with PayPal.  Not sure if the latter is even a thing anymore, now that PayPal isn't part of eBay.

Bummed I have to miss out on the in store build at the Lego stores today & tomorrow.  We are getting Bombarded with snow & sub-zero temps here in No. Colorado at least where I live, though not as bad as some other places.  My poor old little car doesn't go out in this type of weather and icy conditions.  May give the store manager a call on Friday to see if there are any leftovers that she might be able to save one for me.

Well, went ahead and shipped the set the guy bought through PayPal. The money has been deposited in my account for a full week at this point. I think I'll be in the clear and don't have anything to worry about.

Just thankful to get this one sold!

Went to the local Lego shop. No luck in getting an Orc or falcon Cmf.
Rivendel was built and displayed in the store. It's even better in reality than in pics.
    Must buy.
Then went to the hypermarket nearby and they just put out cmfs. Got 5 falcons and   6 orcs.
All in all a great day.

Just a year long exhibtion. Although I suspect some of the older exhibits probably haven't changed much since your school days!

@Speedman29 I live near the Horniman and hopefully will get to go to the exhibition soon. Looks really good. Was waiting for the half term weeks to be over because that place gets very very busy during school hols.
@Gibbo1959 yes some of those stuffed animals have been there a looooooong time. The walrus went on tour a while ago.
