I'm looking forward to Boxing Day so I can get all the crap I'll no doubt receive the day before on Ebay! God help the person that buys me MBs!

Building a massive army of Uruk Hai. I feel like Saruman.

Just out of curiosity, as someone with a slight 'Lego Castle minifig army fetish', how massive an army of Uruk Hai do you consider massive.
I have al three (regular) sets which contain Uruk Hai #9471 , #9474 , and #9476 , the first two; Helm's deep and the wall extension set I have twice, but somehow I feel I am still a long way removed from being able to build a diorama with an army of these minifig's which will look truly impressive.

^ Not counted but think there'll be about 170 by the time I'm done.
Only built about 70 so far, its a bit boring TBH.

Lego status? Frustrated :-( Must have entered something wrong in my PAB order. Misisng about 17 pieces on my interpretation of the GG. And left with about 20 pieces I don't understand why I ordered.

So an order will go in, dwarfed by the re-instated delivery charge. And it won't be done this year. Soooo frustrating.

Still, that nice Santa chap is about to bring some cheer to the household in the next few hours :-) Ho, ho, ho

First Christmas since coming out to my friends and family as an AFOL, seems like all my presents under the tree have the same rattle...

I first quickly read your comment, as I read coming out, then I laughed as I saw the words AFOL

Built a robot out of Duplo. My son was going nuts playing with everything he could get his hands on so we gave him an early Xmas present... Duplo.

Watching hubby assemble #8292. Had it assembled but the arm would not raise, hoping for a better outcome this time.

With the addition of my latest gain, set 7021 with 505 pieces, I passed the 100000 pieces mark. According to the Brickset count I own now 100311 pieces in sets, not counting my loose bricks off course !!

Just finished 10212 Imperial Shuttle. Got to say I am impressed, read lot of ppl on here saying that the shuttle was impressive looking but even after reading all the reviews this is one model that looks better in person and it is frigging massive.

Gave this as a present to myself, think I owe myself a beer now for such a good present :)

Deconstructed the winter village cottage and 2012 holiday set. There is now a void on the credenza where they had been displayed. I may have to go buy the tower bridge and put it there before my wife reclaims the space.

Making a good start (re)organizing some stuff. Storing all loose building instructions laying arround here and there. Next job is storing the empty boxes on the loft.

Bought the Arkham Asylum set and finished building it. It is completely awesome. The architecture, features, play value, minifigs, and extras are all top notch. Worth every penny.

I have limited space, thinking of getting it , just how big is it?
  • monkeyhangermonkeyhanger Member Posts: 3,170
Sherlockbones:Huge! You will need at least 60cm wide x 75cm high x 35cm deep to display it in flight mode, less height in landed mode (but you will want to display it in flight mode).

My collection is coming along beautifully, now i can concentrate on purchasing new sets being released and then i have to find room to build it all hmmm.

Hubby finished #10233, and a moc skyscraper inspired by @crazycarl's build. Tomorrow I think we'll do the chore I put off today and undress the Christmas tree.

Dreamt I discovered some series 1 CMFs in a foreign Airport shop. Along with limited edition French series 4 CMFs (whatever they are supposed to be). Must stop thinking about lego.

Def worth making space for its most impressive model I seen built.

@sherlockbones: It will be worth it, it's my second favourite single display set after UCS MF (and there's not much between them). It is so sleek and with minimal studding (TLG could have made it with almost no studs for just a few more parts). To the casual glance it doesn't even look like it's made out of Lego.

Mine would be 'Just re-emerged from the Lego dark ages, after a 20 year hiatus'. But i'm wary of putting this on FB incase I get abused!

    2 other random points -

I posted a review earlier but can't see it, do they have to get modified?

Why don't photos attach to the messages on here?

    Cheers all

@monkeyhanger it looks a bit better, too when it has no studs (i modified mine to achieve that effect but doing that is a bit twisty)

Might I suggest Garmatron. It is not show accurate, but it is quite the creatively designed tank. Not to mention the Minifigures which are worth the price alone.

    And now my status.
I want to build, but to build I need to sort. And whenever I sort, I want to build.
  • AySeaAySea Member Posts: 66
Starting to sort two of set #4204
Then maybe I'll get back to working on the MOC I started the other day. There's some pieces from #4204 that I need for it.

May be next week then Pete, max 2 weeks. Or maybe a quick shout out on Brickset can push it over the line in the next few days :-)
