Thank you all for an awesome Forum even though I don't participate that much!
My birthday is this coming Monday...maybe they've started a new loyalty program. It's fun to dream at least.
Looking at those four smiling faces in my Galaxy Explorer's cockpit makes me happy.
My own update is that I was in Newcastle earlier on this week and got to visit the Life Science Centre there. They had some excellent Lego builds on display:
I ended up getting some tools that have been on my wanted list for quite some time. I should have everything necessary now to start building some modest furniture. My wife has a list already of what she'd like me to build. I'll just need to make sure I include some new LEGO shelving on the list before it gets too long!
Currently, my order is around $10 worth of parts for each store. Not a ton, but likely to grow at least a bit as I piece together a few more needs. However, in both shops I'm looking at I decided to sort their store by price. Both stores have a significant amount of parts listed for between $.01 and $.03 each. If you were/are a seller, how would you feel if someone added a bunch of lots to their order of your cheapest parts? Would I be terrible to add another $5 worth of penny parts?
Figure I'd do a very informal poll to see what the feelings would be.
I've actually looked at those sets and considered going back and collecting all of them... they're really fun looking sets! But... alas I probably won't, I need to focus my collecting budget elsewhere for a while.
I've gone through all the usual places: tables, piles of sets under tables, my Bricklink shop and storage room but without result. Then I started to worry that I might have left the set in the large cardboard box where Pyramid of Giza came in and thrown it away in the paper container with the packaging.
Please let me know I'm not the only one experiencing this sort of thing.
I tend to go to my wife for assistance in finding stuff. The LEGO stash/backlog, however, is a delicate subject to include her in.
Glad you found it!
I'll keep hunting!
( oh, and got #60320 as a ‘gift’ for our stay. Those new vibrant yellow (?) pieces are pretty questionable Lego, imho. Nice gift though.)
I too agree the vibrant yellow is questionable at best. But hey, free LEGO is free LEGO!
Hope this info makes some people happy (and their fingers not too scared of what is to come…)
