Congrats!  I just followed that link - what a great build!  It's got Baron Munchausen vibes with the circling rocket - love it!  Supported.

^ It's fun to see how directly LEGO followed their own preexisting design standards when they came out with the pirate treasure chest in '89.

...And I'm now also wanting to track down one of those Fabuland chests for some fun pirate photo shenanigans.

@KungFuKenny I always loved the Fabuland Bonnie Bunny set but missed out on getting it originally. When I was 13 my best friend (and fellow Fabu-Fan) moved to a different town and she gifted me her Bonnie Bunny set. Such a nice thing to do.
(We are in our 40's now, still in touch and the rest of her Fabuland has been through ownership of nephew and niece and now her little 5 year old)

@KungFuKenny, WOW! What a beautiful set. I’m amazed at your ability to find Fabuland in such pristine condition. I keep an eye out for any of the gas station sets but most seem to be overseas and I don’t want to deal with that.

My male lions came today, my monkeys a few days ago, my LEGO Education sorting trays today, too, the Jesko, Uncle Scrooge....As always, animals arrived 2 by 2. I guess Mr. Lion 2 needs a mate now. I was figuring Daniel in the lion's den.

Definitely. If a doctor were ever to tell me, "You can't eat chocolate or you'll die," I'd say, "How much chocolate will kill me how fast? Because I have some planning to do."

I got up early for BrickLink's Designer Program to start its first round of crowdfunding, because I want in on the Castle in the Forest. The time said 8 AM and I never noticed it said PDT. Now it's finally time but their site is choking because apparently everyone else had the same idea.

^ there was a lot of excitement in this thread today about the BL designer program… https://forum.brickset.com/discussion/36116/your-picks-for-bricklink-designer-program-round-1#latest

The Forestmen Castle set sold out worldwide in about 35 minutes it looks like. A couple of other sets are close but not funded yet. Hopefully Lego takes this as a hint that people will buy well designed, nostalgic castle sets if they are made available.  Luckily I was able to get the Castle, and because I am weak I also ordered the Sheriff’s Safe and the Pursuit of Flight sets…😬

New Monkie Kid sets! I wasn't expecting them this soon. #80028 The Bone Demon will have to wait until next week, but #80026 Pigsy's Noodle Tank will be mine tomorrow!

Status: Happy to have pre-ordered a castle (and a Kakapo) from bricklink.

    Also thrilled with the Stuntz sets;

    https://www.lego.com/en-gb/search?q=stuntz

Those bikes at £6.99 are fab, no doubt they'll be about a fiver street price before too long, so I'll nab the lot.

I really want to see a resurgence of medieval Lego, especially smaller-scale stuff like villagers and such, not just the knights. I'm so, so glad I got to BrickLink as early as I did today.

Well it is Canada Day which is also my birthday soooo presents! Been busy few days, kid finished school and TRU had a sale so scooped #75280 , #75283 and #75269 . I know I am supposed to be done with star wars but the 501st is special as my son and I love the animated clone wars and rebels show. I got #76388 for my birthday and have Honeydukes built so far. Best part of my day though was when I checked brickset in the morning and it reminded me of the bricklink designer program (thank you @Huw ) When I saw it's hour warning It was already 1 hour and 15 minutes from the post so I went and the castle in the forest was just past its 3000 orders, soooo I got one! For weeks I have been reminding myself that I need to be up to order that set and today I literally almost forgot lol. Been a great day building with the kid.

On a side note is anyone else shocked by all the set reveals today? I would have thought they would have better served being revealed at the legocon.. Spiderman, avengers and a cool pickup as well as the ford f 150.

I was going through a drawer last night and found a box that had parts I had started to collect for #7722. I had forgotten all about it. Decided to spend a few minutes and catalog what I had already on a BL Want List. Turns out I'm 65% complete. Unfortunately, I'm missing a lot of the older train bits that aren't as common to come by. It won't be a super cheap endeavor, but I'm excited to put the rest of it together and see it come back to life!

Thankfully, I already have the all the track parts as well as the battery car and motorized base along with the wire. It's mainly just the buffers, magnets, and doors/windows. Again...not the cheap parts....

In the end it’s really not a rigid budget. Mostly a way to keep me from buying EVERYTHING. It forces me to make some “A or B” set choices.

Sorting, and built the Huracan from #76899. Already had to replace its windshield. It was scratched. Same with #76900.

I thought I would start showing my mother the Lego models I built via text message. The reply is always that's nice. How much did that cost you Charmaine?
Naturally I've been lying about the price.

#77905 is really expensive. And I want it. And I could get a lot of other sets for that money. Bigger sets, "better" sets. But I still want it. And I know it'll only get more expensive as time goes by.

Feels like no matter what I decide, I'll end up regretting it.

Michael Keaton will forever be the best batman ever that's for sure but Adam West's show certainly paved the path for some great things.
I didn't say Adam West was the best, or my favorite Batman, just that he was my first.
I grew up watching old reruns of the 60s Batman show at my grandma's house. Michael Keaton is my favorite Batman for sure! The 1989 Batman movie came out when I was 10 and it was the first movie I truly completely nerded out about big time. I saw that movie in the theaters 10 times. So yeah, 100% Michael Keaton!!

Another day digging into the 'store', following a house move. So good to see some old sets like #4957 Ferris Wheel.

Really looking forward to getting my minifigs set up, when my Wicked Brick displays get here.

I bought a used #7414, parts and instructions, no box, about three years ago for around $30. The bar was broken on one ear, so I drilled it out and used a piece of a black bar. It looks bad, so the elephant gets posed to hide it. I felt it was worth it to get the elephant.
