I'm planning on getting the Ninjago Gardens at midnight tonight but in the back of my mind a voice says there will probably be a sweet gwp that is tied directly to it on Feb. 1 and then another voice says it will be sold out and backordered into the summer by then. Probably going to side with the order now voice but I'm always suspicious of the early VIP releases

It's a VIP release too, so don't forget that the ACTUAL release time may be ~9am EST tomorrow.

Lego Status: Officially Arse Biscuits. Been hitting "refresh" on multiple devices for Ninjago City Gardens since 00:15 GMT and it's still "Coming Soon". Yes, I'm a VIP. Yes, I'm annoyed. Yes, I'm a bit drunk, which really doesn't help my mood... Grrrrr.

Still waiting for the Gardens to drop for VIPs here. In the meantime I went to the local toy store and they had new stock. Mini haul of the tractor, Captain America mech and the flower bouquet. Give them to my mother so I don't have to buy her flowers again. Look these are still going why do you need new ones? That's going to be my line I use anyway.

A few hours ago Gardens went live here and I got my hands on one. In Warehouse right now. I never got around to building Ninjago City or the Docks so this is going to be one huge build.

Stuck on Canadian Armed Forces base 500km away from family and lego room staring at lego on the internet and pictures of my wife and kid while my fellow soldiers look at me like I am nuts lol. Just 5 more weeks and I might be able to go home for a weekend!

I reworked parts of my Darth Maul bust again, based on all of your helpful suggestions. How does the mouth look? Any other feedback?

TBH, I have trouble telling where the mouth is.

@Astrobricks not much I can do about that. If I make his mouth any more prominent, it will look like he got stung on the lip by a bee (happened to my uncle once). If I change the color of the lips, it looks really strange.

I think it looks fine. Also I had a friend get stung inside the nose by a wasp and one side of his nose swelled up 3-4x the size of normal. It was really funny apart from the excruciating pain he probably had.

Update on buying my wife the botanical sets
    Speaking of...
I received the package with my wife's Flowers set day before yesterday and she absolutely loved it! I showed her a picture of the bonsai set and she immediately said "I want that" as well, so definitely a success here as well!

Currently contemplating how big of a personal LEGO warehouse I'll buy after I win both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots...
hmm... Do you need someone (admittedly in the opposite end of the country) to help you collect rare sets and to inventory this warehouse for a moderate income? I can do it remotely, somehow. No! Wait! I'll take the Mega Millions and you can take the Powerball and then we can each have a warehouse!

I think it's fabulous. I'm only contemplating the mouth because you asked, I don't think I have any helpful suggestions. As @Astrobricks says, it's not a very forgiving palette, and black is terrible to photograph, so I think you've done incredible work getting this!

I left posting my comment for half, hour, had another look. The mouth doesn't matter, it works just fine.

    Lovely job :-)

Finally have Elf Clubhouse and Exploration Ship coming to close out 2020. Now I have to hope the other Microfighter set shows up in time for May 4, and our two-of-each is enough to get whatever freebies... MF's and polybags are the last Star Wars, and aside from seasonal and Jurassic World, practically the last LEGO period we buy.

@Bumblepants @Mr_Cross thanks for the help! Now that my inner perfectionist is satisfied, I can finally stop bothering you fine people and get to work on the building instructions. About time too, I think I have been working on this bust since June or July and I am totally sick of it :)

I currently have the Super Mario Bowser set inside another Lego set box in the basement, haha.

It was just the best place to store it until I get the time to build it, but being able to keep it hidden in the meantime is definitely a bonus.

@Legopants it’s an ace model. I had a shelf built specially for it in my LEGO room. It’s a really enjoyable build too. 😊😊

Status:  A bit sheepish.  I remarked to my husband how impatient I was getting because my Lego order (from the 1st of January) was still showing "In Warehouse".  I forgot that I hadn't told him that I made the order!  His reply was "Right, because the one thing that we need in this household is more Lego!"

[He may have a point; I've also recently done an Ikea order so that I could add more cheapish shelving and storage to the flat, although this is not just for Lego - we turned the guest bedroom into an office, so we eliminated a lot of general storage (admittedly though that also meant my king size ottoman bed which housed a large portion of my collection.  He didn't realise what was in the storage bed until we emptied it... hence his snarky remarks!)]

I think I've reached a point where I'm thinking about selling some of my collection. I'm wondering if I'll get seller's remorse later though. Has anyone else gone through that?

A couple of years ago on here I sold my complete CMF collection from series 12-18, TBLM 1 and 2, TLNM, Simpsons 1 and 2, all complete with display stands I had assembled. I am so regretful of it that it actually makes me upset to think about!

So now when I think I'm sick of seeing something on my shelves I just disassemble it and store it away until I want to bring it out again. So my advice is do that and make space for some new stuff.

I would agree with SirBrickalot. I’m in something of a lull with Lego right now, just buying the CMFs and a few select sets but have recently dismantled and reboxed the majority of what I had built. Had thought about selling stuff but can’t bring myself to do that. I have no need to cash in so if you’re not needing to dispose for specific reasons then I’d agree with the advice to just put stuff away and if you’ve not come back to it in a year or so then that might be the time to let it go.

I haven't built anything in years and it's taking up so much space (even packaged up). You can see photos of my Lego room in my post history so you know what I'm talking about. I am fearful of that regret you mentioned though.

Maybe I'll sell the things I KNOW I won't want to build or rebuild. Thank you!!

Happy LEGOmaniac AFOL sitting here .. figured I would bust if I didn't tell somebody!
I'm excited for you! Its lovely when you get lucky like that. I ordered a blind bag CMF to get an order over a GWP amount and got the one figure I was still hunting to complete that series.
I'm waiting to hear from my CMF guy (doesn't everyone have a CMF guy?) to get the full series from him. The beekeeper is one of my favourites, after missing the beegirl fancy dress minifig when it was first out I finally got one at a good price early last year, so this chap will look great alongside

My wife was not a fan but it turns out make up brushes are awesome for cleaning lego, they come in odd sizes to fit in hard to reach builds and they are firm enough to get all the dust but soft enough to not scratch it. The Mrs. cleans hers and leaves them in the lego room to dry out and the one day I was like "I wonder..."  2 days on the couch/sofa and she forgave me lol. Now I have a full set of my own bought at sephora (I shop there for her all the time) just to dust my lego.
