Looking like crazy to get a #80105 set. Silly me didn`t know that it would get retired at the end of 2020, and I missed it. Got a quote from Asia on bricklink, and shipping is a whopping 80 USD. Damn, I wish i moved in earlier in December.

I bought a Play and Display stand (blue) to experiment with to display some Lego. My first idea was to have a little scene with some Super Mario inside. Most of the Lego is put away in drawers when not played with so this display means a small amount can be on view and look nice in the room.

Lego also make a Red version of the Play and display box so I've ordered that to make a Lava version of Super Mario.

Where did you get the Play and Display case? I have only ever seen the Ninjago Movie version, and I can’t find anything on Lego.com (not easily anyway).

Frustrated. Tried to order the new modular as soon as it was available on the 1st but as with most people I had issues getting it to go through. Was finally able to place the order first thing in the morning but now I get an email saying it’s out of stock and won’t ship until more become available. All because they can’t keep their website working. I also ordered the new little tractor so hopefully the free gift will get sent with that.

First world problem I know but I really wish they’d spend at least a little of their profits on an IT department.

Yeah, they are difficult to find. They are on a local retailers website in Switzerland but I've seen them in Amazon as well. I really want the Ninjago movie version but it's long gone now...unless someone on here has them for sale.

I’ve been meaning to get to this for 2 years, and over this Christmas break I finally had time. It also helped that I got a Light My Bricks kit for the Holiday Train so I could see what I was in for.

I didn’t enjoy putting the LED string in because it’s super fiddly, but it does look good in the dark. I had to change up my design from what I originally came up with. The lights were originally going to come in from the top of each capsule. It just didn’t look good. I will need to get more 4x4 round plates for the tops to keep it looking cylindrical. I ran out of LEDs and I still have another 6 figs to put in (newest Iron Man, War Machines, Rescue). I’m just missing Civil War Iron Man and Iron Patriot, I think. If any of you fine people want to sell me one, that’d be cool.

(If you wouldn't mind posting links to the actual figures you are looking for, I'm sure there may be a person or two with an extra Iron Man.)

After many, many, many months of abstinence, the time has finally come for Legopants to again mount the wibbly-wobbly "Ladder of Fate" and unsheath his shiny weapon, the chrome "Knife of Destiny". Looks like it will be the seals of a Harry Potter set that will fall victim to the Knife's vicious blade. But which set could it be? Here's Legopants with a fiendishly cryptic riddle to help solve this mother of all conundrums...

Such a cool and underrated set!

Was that the 2005 equivalent of a 4+ set? Them’s some huuuuge boat parts!

The parts (in different colors) were used in #7075 Captain Redbeard's Pirate Ship, a "4 Juniors" set from the year before. The rest of The Durmstrang Ship is very nice. I got the one with the bonus minifigures.

That hull is just all kinds of crazy! I wasn't even particularly aware of it until recently when someone posted a pirate ship MOC utilizing those hull pieces.

I am super blessed! I apparently won #77904 from The BrickFan! God is SO good! What a blessing! I couldn't get it, back in November!

    Nice.

super happy today. Back in early December I got a good price on #40289 and ordered it for a gift for my wife. Seller shipped it right a way and provided me with a tracking number. It got stuck somewhere and didn't start moving till 6 days later. Then took another 8 days to move through 3 states. then disappeared from tracking on the 22nd. I was expecting to have to file an insurance claim. Well it started moving again a couple of days ago and should get delivered today! Better late than never!

That's already used for the base of the 4+ A-wing and Snowspeeder, at least according to New Elementary. They ran a contest in early 2019 for best use of that BUSH.  I suggest JUG for this one (JUniors Galleon).

I finished clearing out my winter village setup--still have to disassemble the Elf Club House and some Brickheadz. That meant the space behind my desk was available for me to move the UCS MF downstairs to my home office. Coworkers will probably enjoy seeing it in the background during meetings. For the moment I also have the UCS Sandcrawler peeking out from behind it.

It has been a long time since I have worked on a larger project, and it feels good to be back! I am currently finalizing the instructions for my latest MOC, a 1/200 scale Los Angeles Class submarine! I plan to release it on Rebrickable sometime Friday morning, but I thought I would pass it by you guys first. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated!

Just remember, you're gonna need to rework the Typhoon if you build a companion Red October... 12 meters longer, 3 wider, don't forget the fin-top towed sonar array pod and the caterpillar intake/exhaust doors. :)

And don't forget the DSRV! :P

Yep, I got the idea from the movie, which was wonderful.
@Diamondback_six I might make a typhoon class too, depending on how popular this one is.

@veyniac You did a pretty good job--only thing missing is the "endplate" fins on the aft dive planes, which are a challenge in this medium.

@SumoLego DSRV is a rescue sub--we used to have the model they used in filming at the Naval Undersea Museum near Bremerton, since replaced by the actual sub it depicted.

I bought a copy of Yellow Submarine on behalf of a work colleague. She had to have it for her Beatles loving husband. I got the GWP, which I think was the small London Bus and the VIP points.....four years later its still sat on a shelf unbuilt!

Really stoked! Got an email from DPD at 10:41, and whilst reading it at 10:53, the doorbell actually rang and the delivery guy gave me my #10278 (and the car GWP). Yay - more building tonight!

Great day. Earlier this week my Cantina came and today my 12:03am Jan 1st order came. Then I get a text that the Bugatti Chiron is in stock. Now we wait for Ninjago City Gardens and I think I'm done with buying new sets until July. The Bugatti box is heavy. It must be the heaviest set I think I've carried.

I’ve been on a tractor kick lately... I have the CLAAS Xerion coming in a few days, but more recently the parts arrived to build #952 Farm Tractor from 1978...

I’ve had quite a bit of fun taking it outside to “mow” the grass...

Sweet! I believe that was my first Expert Builder set :)
