You want an 80's Rocker Guy? I got five, two still sealed. You want to trade for the Brick Suit Guy dupe you got if you don't want it drop me an IM.
If you're still needing him in a month or two, hit me up. I wouldn't send nor request anything via Canada Post right now. I've had a Bricklink order, an Amazon order, and a personal package all dissappear into the void within the past month. They're apparently completely overwhelmed right now (blaming Covid, yet somehow every other courier arrives on time), with Global reporting that they've taken to just parking entire containers full of post outside of facilities and leaving them there. They're a complete sh*tshow.

I had a Classic Space order from Belgium that just arrived after 9 weeks, and have had 3 Bricklink orders via Canada Post in the last 8 weeks that have been quite delayed— even the tracked Air Mail option has taken an average of 3 weeks...... luckily they all eventually arrived, so don’t lose hope!

Canada Post is an enigma.  Some packages are taking a long time, but they surprised me last weekend when they delivered 3 parcels on Sunday Morning!  That's the first time in my life (40+ years) that I've ever heard of them making a delivery on a Sunday.

A big part of the issue with the delays at Canada Post and other mail services is that a lot of mail and parcels are shipped as extra cargo on passenger flights moving around the country and around the world.  With the numbers of these flights down in by 80%-90% it isn't surprising that things are backing up a bit.  Other couriers such as FedEx, UPS etc have their own fleet of aircraft which is why their backlogs are much less.

Nah, they're just inept. One of the parcels they've lost was shipped from Gatineau, here in Québec. The sticker sheet to one of the sets that the seller had shipped at the same time in a seperate envelope via letter post arrived early last week (after a month), but the actual bricks are still MIA. The personal parcel was bound for Sherbrooke, just a couple of hours away. The Amazon order was coming from Mississauga, Ontario. It was scanned at pick up, and then never again. None of these items would have been put on a plane. /shrug

I'm not overly concerned. I've written off the packages at this point. Amazon gave me a refund, and has reshipped the item in the box that was still in stock. The Bricklink order was only 50$ worth of stuff I don't particularly need at the moment. I haven't even bothered to contact the seller, as it's certainly not his fault. The other parcel was just a random care package, so nothing inside was of any particular gravitas.
I just find it odd that three of five items handed over to Canada Post in the past two months have disappeared. I've had parcels arriving almost daily for the past two months, and those are the only issues I've had tbh. Overall, I've got nothing to complain about. FedEx is bringing me one of my backordered Lego sets today! :)

I am getting tired of wasting money on Series 20 orders. Before I implement a return I'm going to ask folks here, how long did it take to get all 16 without being allowed to do the feel method in stores?

Better yet what's the case placement of everybody? If by some miracle I find an untouched case I'd like to know where the drone boy and brick costume guy are, because after over a case worth of orders with 60+ between them I've gotten 8 or more Super Warriors. 7 Sea Rescuers and way, way, way to many Pajama Girls.
    https://minifiguresplus.com/collections/collectible-minifigures-series-20

I did not see a post from minifiguresplus for the series 20 CMFs, but they usually have a deal posted to the forum for a complete set that is as cheap as buying them in a brick and mortar store, already sorted out. They have the 2 you're looking for available at the link above.

Just ordered myself the Haunted House ( @Snizzlebutts they still have them in stock as I'm writing this if you're still after one) so now that's 4 packages I'm waiting on. I don't know why Lego here don't make more use of the back order option. The larger sets here sometimes take weeks to get back in stock and when they are they are only in stock for a short amount of time before the weeks long wait starts again.

Grr, bought a used #3818 from eBay. I got a good deal, 100% with box and instructions. It absolutely reeks of cigarette smoke, though, and it came partially built. I should have done my due diligence and asked the seller questions.

Used sets off of eBay are always a crapshoot.  I got a partially assembled Queen Anne's Revenge, with some 'extra boat pieces'.  It ended up being 95% of the Black Pearl.

Made up for the cat-turd Millennium Falcon I salvaged off of Craigslist the week before.

Yeah, heaps of stuff came back in stock I think yesterday or the day before, even the bookshop. Got the Haunted House. Was thinking of some Harry Potter but I guess that’ll be in Kmart much cheaper sooner or later, whereas the Haunted House won’t. The Hidden Side secret castle is about $40 cheaper at Target in a few days as well so worth waiting.

As long as he/she isn't waffle-stomping them in cat turds, we're all good.

On a public holiday Lego shipped 80% of one of my orders. Hopefully by the end of the week I have them or they have all been shipped. I wan't expecting to see an email saying an order had shipped today.

My brother was doing a zoom computer training course with Little Miss S yesterday, when they finished I was asked to come and see something! He held up a handful of yellow pieces, it was from the Caterham we bought him a couple of years ago.
    Me: "did you drop it?"
brother: "no, but its your fault. I followed that link you posted about the F1 cars you built and found this site called Rebrickable"

He's got plans for an alternate Caterham and DB5 build for the two sets he owns.

@Mr_Hobbles you can't just leave it there!! You didn't even show the traffic light, or a closeup of how the Dacta was connected. So much left to know :-)
    Looks like a great project.

9$ for Whomping Willow from Wal-Mart.ca denied. Despite listings as in stock but almost sold out, the store I rushed to after work had nothing. Why didn't I finish the 2018 sets this spring before LEGO decided to finally retire/sell out of everything? *SIGH*

I don't like to keep code a secret, so if you must. :p https://github.com/nathankellenicki/legolayout

Back to Lego itself - recently I've been trying to build up a small collection of dark blueish grey 9v train tracks. Its incredibly expensive. :o Why didn't I just decide to stick with old grey like everyone else...

I familiar with your feelings on the subject. Although I have only mass-piled one new set, I often find this is the reality with used sets I've purchased or pieced together. Although frustrating at times, it really does prolong the build process which, in the end, is what I most enjoy about Lego anyway.

I have a UCS X-Wing in a few gallon zip top bags waiting to be built. I imagine that will add a few hours to the process at the very least.

I was getting on top of my to do pile but then all those new sets released June 1st and the shelves here are now being restocked so I'm now back to where I was about 3 months ago. No new Harry Potter sets sadly. My Pirates Of Barracuda Bay is also very close to being shipped as well. I was worried about getting it. Bought it and as soon as I did, out of stock. Then it stayed In Process for over a week and now it's moved to In Warehouse.

Looking at my vast LEGO Collection and knowing purchases are going to slow right down. Sad to say... my father passed away this week and now all of my disposable income needs to be used for helping out with household expenses.

I'll probably still buy a set here or there when I can afford it, but it's looking like buying every set I want is no longer priority or possible. It was a nice time while it lasted, but after all things are said and done, responsible AFOLs need to cover bills first and collections second.

I really must stop pre ordering things and forgetting about them! I have a vague memory several months ago adding this to my Amazon wishlist, must have actually preordered instead as it arrived this morning!

What I will definitely order is a PU hub and motor while they're instock, ready for the finally revealed new train.

I just lived out 10 year old me's LEGO fantasy by finally building the Black Seas Barracuda for the first time! Absolutely phenomenal!

I'm looking forward now to re-converting the Pirates of Barracuda Bay set back into ship form (you can see its in shipwreck form currently) and doing an in-person comparison of the two.
