This is where the fun begins!

Got enough shelf space cleared somewhere already?

Well, I bought Thanos. I like that he's not symetrical. Pretty posable, but if you try to play with him – limbs and fingers will fly.

I'm nearly finished building #70425 Newbury Haunted High School that I bought in last year's Black Friday sales. It's a great looking building with some nice interior detail.

Week or two ago someone left mindstorms robot atop mail lockers, I checked it, yep – genuine mindstorms. And left it, 'cause I'm not really into mindstorms.

But yesterday, while checking mail, I suddenly noticed a box of Lego. "Ha-ha, very funny", – I thought to myself – "someone left the empty box". I lifted it. "Wow, they really went a mile with it and placed something for the weight". I opened it. There were 2 tron bikes inside. "Probably Lepin or some other knockoff". I checked the markings. "[email protected]#t, it's a real thing, ok I'm getting you back home".

It's in pristine condition, even with spares. I've never seen something used being so intact (with the negative experience of buying secondhand lego). But washed it anyway.

Guess, someone's having a dark age.

I've been slavishly checking [email protected] for the new Wonder Woman set, after hearing of it popping up in random American Target stores. This morning it was finally up, available to order! I'm so stoked for this one! :D

My entry to the Music To Our Ears contest didn't make it to the fan vote. But, at least I tried, and didn't give up.

Impressive!  Even more so since he built it while hanging upside down!  :-)

I have my own Monopoly strategies. I try to get the stations and the red, yellow and green properties. Get one side of the board and my line of thinking is you have more chance of landing on a green property on the way to GO than you do the dark blue ones. I do not touch Mayfair/Boardwalk. Why spend $400 and $350 when you could use that money on early properties on the board to use to trade later.

I did buy some Lego today. A Ninjago Mech. The Lego is starting to get smaller and smaller on the shelves at my local toy store because we aren't getting new stock in.
I'm happy they're selling it honestly and hoping they get through this OK. It is worrying that Lego sections are now getting barer.

My Monopoly strategy is play something fun instead.
We play Monopoly Deal, the card game version. Much quicker to play and far less arguments!
My BnP order arrived yesterday, 100 2x2 dark grey tiles. Its amazing how quick a pavement can eat them up. I think thats over a 1000 I've bought over the years for a fairly short street! Anyway we paved the last area around the MOC cafe and Chinatown market.

I'd say we're complete, but there are plans to try and add another skinny building in somewhere!

Just received an email from our LUG... our local Lego store is one of 5 in North America slated to have a limited re-opening on May 9th... Not sure if PAB and BAM will be available though...

Maybe they'd do curbside pickup... "I'd like three large PAB cups, please... I don't care what, just throw a variety in 'em... I JUST NEED NEW LEGO!!!"

I'm a bit jealous. Even with shoppes set to open at the end of May, it won't include malls. Just individual storefronts with street access. Even if they did open malls, my Lego Store is in Laval, which is apparently a 'hot zone' with a high rate of cases. It's going to be while before I can visit them again. :/

My LEGO Status is glad to have his account back and working, but wondering why I had to reactivate it with an activation code. All of my points and everything was still there, so why did I need to reactivate?

Also a little ticked that I had to make the same order twice minus the CMF Series 20 figures I wanted, since somehow LEGO put up a limit of 3 per order only, despite previous CMFs usually being limited to the number of actual characters in the set per order IE 16, 18 or 22, so why now all of a sudden only three per order?

Oh well, despite the limitation direct from LEGO I found a site selling them with no limitations or restrictions and unless that one gets cancelled too out of the blue I'll at least have 16 with however many duplicates I may wind up with. And I've got a bunch of Star Wars ordered too with the free item.

I wouldn't count on PaB nor BaM as they will likely put the same restrictions in place as at the German stores that reopened on Monday:
    • No PaB
    • No BaM
    • No play areas
    • No feeling for CMF's
    • No touching of boxes - the store staff takes the box you want of the shelf for you
    • Maximum 6 customers allowed at a time in the store
    Source: StoneWars (in German).

So not much benefit over ordering from [email protected]/another retailer, except for seeing some sets "in the flesh" and talk to the store staff.

    so.
i am now in a waiting game, to see who get my order to me 1st.
i have my Big Lego.com Order's and one lego set from Amazon.

    from Lego,com #75244 Tantive IV, #75275 A-wing Starfighter (UCS), #75278 D-O, #75258 Anakin's Podracer – 20th Anniversary Edition and #75267 Mandalorian Battle Pack. and some GWP's :P
when i placed my amazon order it i was told the estimated arrival date was May 19 2020 to May 20 2020.
just 12 hours ago i got a e-mail telling me "New estimated arrival date: May 09 2020"

Amazon has been really wonky here in Canada. I did an order a couple of weeks ago, and items that weren't supposed to arrive prior to mid May showed up two days later, while items supposed to ship within days are still in limbo.
Lego, on the other hand, got an order out straight away and to my door within two two days despite the parcel needing a mid transit reroute ([email protected] always uses an old address as the default, and I failed to correct this when ordering).
I'm trying my luck with Bricklink today. We'll see how that goes. It will likely beat some of the items from my Amazon order to my door. :p
