@Odeinoichus, YouTube are beholden to their corporate overlords at Google & their mission to uphold Google's goals. YouTube is no longer about the independent content creators, they will happily throw them under the bus to protect Google's preferred content creators, the legacy media corporations. In effect, YouTube is already dead, it's just a matter of calling time of death, when PewDiePie quits the platform & selects a successor (or several other big creators that pick the same platform to be the successor & quit YouTube), that will be the call.

Um...no. Quite the opposite, actually. This is about the corporate overlords being brought to heel. While it sucks for youtubers that they're losing the income they've become accustomed to, that income was at the expense of gross privacy violations of minors. It should never have existed in the first place.
It really should come as no surprise to anyone that Google's apparatus is less than altruistic (we've all signed away all hope of even the semblance of 'privacy' years ago in exchange for smartphones and faster search engines) but I think that decrying the effects of trying to reign in some of their more unsavory practices as 'sticking it to the little guy' is a bit naïve.

My LEGO status today? Realizing that I'm an idiot. I dismantled my 2nd #75249 Resisyance Y-wing, which I had done in Sand Green and Flame Yellowish Orange to be a ride for the CMF Retro Spaceman. I thought I had put all the unused parts in a ziploc bag. Nope. The white pieces and a couple of greys were there, but a lot of other parts were scattered in several different Sterilite 6-qt tubs with various loose bits and partially dismantled sets. Some I still haven't found. I'm an idiot.

Ahhh but posting about it lets a bunch of us off the hook on equally stupid stuff!

My panther and tiger came, now I just need to build the circus cages, flatcar, and the roof on my tent, and I can update my Casey Jr. project. And people probably won't vote for it anyway,(circuses, and animal cages in 2019 might be touchy), but I'm still going to try, because why not?

Yesterday I finished the Hidden Side shrimp boat. Surprisingly fiddly build and I wonder how kids manage! I do like the option to display it split apart and mounted on the bits of swamp landscape; the whole scene set-up is very nice and is making me itch to build the Old Fishing Store.

But I think tonight I'm going to finally get started on that big Arctic set where they find the woolly mammoth...

Look what arrived about ½ hour ago! What a couple of corkers! Well chuffed! No freebie, but I'm not too bothered about that :-)

How did yours arrive so quickly? Waiting for mine to arrive - still in warehouse!

@msanders - No idea. I was quite impressed with the speed of delivery. Ordered both sets (separately) on Friday morning.

Mine have just been dispatched now, but it usually takes a week to arrive. I`m too excited to build them! Enjoy your builds!

Wow, I've just had my #80105 delivered in record time. Usually in Ireland it takes at least 7-10 days for a delivery, usually more. It's even longer if ordering on a Friday but this was basically two days. Madness!

Agreed. I was going to pull the trigger on the Lucky Cat quickly, but then saw the Statue of Liberty back in stock and had hope that I wouldn't miss out on a restock. Maybe I'll kick myself in a month or two, but I'll hold out hope. I was going to try and bundle the new Goofy/Pluto and Donald.

EDIT - Hmm, maybe not. I see they're marked as Sold Out instead of Out of Stock. I'll get that kick ready to go sooner than later.

    Thanks @Modeltrainman

@KungFuKenny, I love those! That may need to be my alternative too to fill this gap in my BHz.

In other news, I was going through a bulk lot I purchased awhile back and thought I saw a few pieces for #70814 Emmet's Construct - O - Mech. I started pulling pieces and have confirmed that it's in the lot. Based on my sorting of just the yellow pieces, I'm estimating I have about 98% of it. I should finish sorting tonight, then a quick BL order! Super excited as I've wanted this set for awhile now.

@KungFuKenny The Go Brick Me #41597 has a classic space logo sticker with a clear backing that would work perfectly. It looks like these are going for about 50c on Bricklink.

Popped into MK Lego store yesterday for a mooch around. Spent an age looking at all the new sets and trying to be good. Then bought the new SC Audi and the safari jeep sets to build over the weekend. I did ask if they had any of the monthly mini build dragons, but they were out of them. Quite fancy getting hold of a couple now as they look cool.

You're likely to see significant delays at this point in the year.  Honestly, you're lucky that it wasn't shut down entirely, as it's not uncommon for B&P to be shut down for almost the entirety of Jan. and Feb.  This is their busiest time of the year, as they are focused on providing replacement parts for the flood of sets that went out for Christmas.

I placed a large order yesterday to get some of the Chinese New Year parts among other things.  I was honestly surprised to see it up and running this time of year— I wonder if all the downtime the site had in the fall was prepping for more year-round availability?  (Nah, that may be giving the Lego IT team too much credit!)

Just found a bag with a set of unopened Harry Potter minifigures. I had completely forgotten about them. Last year was a tad busy.

Now for the joy of opening them up :)

LEGO's standard shipping times at the moment are incredible. Ordered another #80105 Wednesday night along with a Lucky Cat.

Just got it at 1pm today. They don't even need 48h!

I thought about crying ... With my husband's assistance we managed to drop the recently finished Corner Garage and pieces went in all directions! Trying to put a build back together is sometimes harder than the initial build! Finally found almost all the pieces and got it reconstructed. Still missing <sigh> are the tiny black pieces from the bucket thingy by the gas pump and the motorcycle rider's black helmet.

^ sometimes there’s just no telling where the pieces go even in a clean house.  It might take a bit of time to wait in the mail, but Lego might well replace lost pieces.  I haven’t tried their options yet to know for sure.

I spent a couple of hours one day searching for Sam's visor from #21314 after the helmet tumbled from the seat of his bike while I was lifting it up for dusting. It was a frantic, annoying experience that resolved itself when it turned up clear across the room from where I'd assumed it might be.

I can't even imagine the horror of dropping an entire build. That sounds terrible. Hopefully the parts turn up before cleaning day!
