    ^ Interesting approach.

That's normally how I wrap product for my drug trafficking shipments... er... if I did that type of thing.  Which I don't!  Ha ha ha, silly.

Um... Happy Independence Day for folks in the US!

Also, I wanted to note that I just noticed they worked a lighthouse into the Ninjago theme.  Consider me very impressed!

Believe it or not, the lighthouse in question appeared in the show around four years before it showed up as a set!
Of course, that was back when the theme wasn't expected to last more than three years, so maybe it's coincidence… or maybe the fates themselves are pulling the strings to get more LEGO lighthouses built. :P

I've had the Tower Bridge since it came out. It's been displayed all these years. I almost took it apart yesterday. Now I'm glad I didn't.

My plan was to build it, admire it for a bit, then dismantle it to build the next phase of my Hogwarts. Might just leave it up to admire......

Kind of surprised that on a site with so many British users I have seen no chatter about LEGO being part of the family play area at Pride in London tomorrow:

Anyone planning to attend? I’d love to see some pics of how the mini Pride parade turns out!
Hoping this might foreshadow LEGO providing even more visible forms of support and representation of the LGBTQ+ community going forward!

Finally got one of the Overwatch sets! I picked up the Dorado Showdown at Barnes and Noble today. Haven't built it yet, but I'm looking forward to shooting Soldier 76.

A while back, I heard that you could contact Lego regarding the Wedding Favour set, and ask for an extra bride or groom for a gay wedding. Not sure if it's true though, as I've never heard about it since.

The more I see it the more I want to buy it.
@Charmiefcb Err... well, I hate to be the devil on your shoulder but it's currently 20% off on Aus S@H with double points. Now would be the time to buy! Seems they've ironed out the bugs with the Aus warehouse too. I ordered it on Monday night, received it on Wednesday morning! Sadly, I couldn't stop myself from building it before the end of the week, just when I thought I was gonna have a big LEGO weekend! It's a pretty awesome build.

I'll probably end up getting it, but not now. It's already on sale at Myer so I'll probably pick it up there when it goes on sale again.
The warehouse is going OK for me the last 2 orders. The lack of stock on certain items is a bit of a pain. Waited months for a Clone Scout Walker and finally got it. Now I'm waiting for the Imperial Dropship to come back in stock for 5 minutes then sell out again.

One day next week is a Lego shop. Get the City Space sets and the Lego Movie 2 sets that are on discount. I might even get the movie.
Is the movie any good? I get a bad feeling seeing all the sets on discount.

Dunno, I haven't seen it yet either. It seems a lot of retailers have made the same overestimation with TLM2 stock though, my local Big W has almost a third of their entire LEGO shelving dedicated to TLM2 sets. Might see some good discounts soon, I've been holding off on the larger Rex related sets for a while.
  • CharmiefcbCharmiefcb Member Posts: 451
I was shocked when Hobbyco has Rexplorer at $108 down from $180. They never do discounts like that. They even have the buggy at $50 down from $80. None of the sets really grab me apart from Apocalypseburg.

Still not getting it. Not very used tonsome english idioms... also: forum refusing to work with quotes without going to html view. Otherwisw text ends up inside quote... Got the MF finishwd yesterday though. managed to have a error stay unnoticed until stage 16 where the cockpit got installed. Landing foot was off by one and blocking a pinhole in the framework. luckily thenpart was not sandwiched in between load bearing structure or it would have been a PITA to fix.

    I am super curious how you got into putting on your own show of that magnitude!  Would love to do that here, but firework restrictions would probably make it impossible ;_;

I saw The Lego Movie 2 last night. I loved it. I loved all the references to pop culture and there are alot of jokes for adults. It's well worth a watch. The only set that features predominantly in the movie is Emmet's Dream House, second would be the Rexcelcior. The rest are in there for about 10 seconds to 2 minutes.

I bought a Disney Princess set for our cleaners kid. She is forced to spend a large chunk of her school holidays at our place with only a TV and her phone for entertainment, so I buy her a Lego set every school holidays. It's almost always Friends and I would grab a set or two without thinking much about it. I forgot what sets I have gotten her in the Friends range, so I went for Disney. Can't go wrong with Jasmine and Aladdin. I actually had a good look at what I bought this time. They are great sets. Much better than what I had growing up.
I wish I had them when I was her age. All they had for girls when I was growing up was oversimplified Paradisa and Bellville. (I would build my Paradisa Restaurant/Resort then my brothers would get ahold of it and it would be mutated with Western, Aquazone and various Space themes into a fort of death with plenty of guns and lasers) I was too late for Fabuland sadly. I'm happy LEGO has decent sets for girls now.
Looking at the builds I would say they would be on par with City sets in how they're built. I might get some of the Disney ones myself.

Yeah, some of the Friends builds are really surprisingly good.  For both the Princess and Friends lines, one of the things I like the most if how much brighter and more colorful they tend to be.  'Regular' LEGO isn't really drab per say, but when you put the two next to each other the color explosion can be refreshing sometimes.

@Fizyx , it's definitely something that has grown over time. I'm a licensed pyro through my state, so the process of getting my license and all of the training that went into that really helped lay the foundation for a show like this.

Fireworks are (currently) still legal in my area, which really helps. But I still get a permit to shoot the show.

Trying to place an order with S@H. Continual unexpected errors at checkout which has been a problem for many it seems. I switch to Chrome. Oh no. What's my password. Ask to reset password. Hello an email has been sent to you. That was 2 hours ago. Now I'm locked out of my account basically.
I should threaten to buy the Lepin versions of what I want. Maybe then they will fix their clunky website.

So S@H has new features, including the new VIP program. Strangely, all the items I had in my wishlist disappeared, as did all the VIP points I had!
I guess I'll have to call CS...
    VorpalRyu
  • jnscoelhojnscoelho Member Posts: 704
Before calling I explored a bit more and found that now there's a reward center, to which one must be logged in to check vip points and trade them for "rewards".
And now the points have to be traded for vouchers, using the points for purchases doesn't seem to be as direct as it used to.
The amount of points is now much higher, but according to my very quick calculations they kept the ratio I had to achieve the 5€ for purchases.
Still, it would have been polite to warn users about this change before implementing it...

On the rewards page, they have #5004590 Bat-pod for 15,000 points. I've been saving my points to help with getting the roller coaster at some point but the Bat-pod is very tempting.

I thought the same, but 15000 points can be traded for a 100€ voucher. I wouldn't pay 100€ for the Bat-pod, so I quickly dismissed that idea.

That's a lot cheaper than eBay prices though and probably even a little cheaper than bricklinking it. But you're right. Probably not worth it. Sure would look great next to my tumbler though.

    Hmm, I don't think so:

Free Delivery offer is valid online at shop.LEGO.com and for LEGO® Catalogue telephone orders. Qualifying purchase must be equal to or greater than $149 in merchandise only; Once your order reaches $149 free standard delivery will automatically be added to your order.
