On holiday in the Peak District, so took the opportunity to shelter from the wet weather with a morning at the LDC in Birmingham. My three-year-old was happy enough (she did particularly like building her own three minifigures in the shop), my one-year-old loved crawling around the Duplo section, so my wife and I were happy! Miniland was particularly impressive, I love spotting all the little vignettes they hide in the and amongst the buildings.

I was a bit disappointed that all the sections to "build a helicopter!" or "build a flower" etc. just had generic parts bins, with seemingly nothing specific to what you were meant to be building. It may be my lack of creativity, but I would struggle to build a helicopter with the parts they had available!

One down side - we left my daughter's potty somewhere there! (She's currently potty training, and doing very well!) I feel sorry for anybody who comes across it, thinks it's some small child's suitcase, and opens it to try and find out how to return it... they're in for a not particularly nice surprise :-/

^^I just got a bulk bin of bricks and have found several pieces so far for the Air Temple. I'm looking forward to getting it built.

Excited for my recent BnP order to arrive. Got the black bike and dark blue leaves from Stranger things along with a bunch of both colors of the papered up windows, Clutch Powers and the coral/teal parrot from the new minifig packs, solar panels from City space, and the mulleted guitar shirt carney from the City people pack. Oh and the flaming marshmallow mug from City fire.

I saw some Lego in Aldi today. Just a couple of old City sets. I picked up Mountain Arrest and put it back down, now I want it. So I told Dad to get it in the moirning if they still have it. I hope they do. I think I'll regret not picking it up if they sell out.

Oh and I also got Dragon Boat Race today.

Status today is disappointed.  Have a business trip this week to a city that has an LDC, so I figured I would visit since I have some time today, and hopefully get some hard to find polybags if nothing else... They didn't have anything special, and all the polybags were 6+ months old.  Oh well, next time I'm out here at least I know I don't have to worry about checking in at that LDC!

Bought a lot of used LEGO for 15€ because, after a brief inspection, it seemed to contain some interesting parts. It were the most filthy bricks I've ever seen, had to wash them thoroughly. And there's lots of broken/bitten/bent(?!) unusable parts - just look at the front of the speeder bikes for a good example. Lots of Bionicle-ish things as well (not in the picture) and many minifigure parts missing hats, heads, arms, hands, legs...
    Still, I've found most of a #7110, a #7128, #6437, #6425 and probably of #6407 (all incomplete).
Still some Castle parts around, and many pieces (and almost complete minifigs) from (most likely) #5936.
Not my lucky day, but it still could have been worse...

I remember my brother getting that speeder set. 20 years ago. Target Ashfield. I got my Game Boy Color that day too. How time flies.

We are entering week 9 of tradesmen banging around the house. To cheer myself up about that I'm going Lego shopping after a Drs appointment mid week. I will get that Downtown Fire Rescue set just for the fire engine, building and crane will be put into the spare parts bin.

Bracing myself to SELL some of my collection.  I've sorted the sets, I've dismantled them, I've reboxed them.  I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on that next step of listing them on eBay.  It's like letting go of your children...

^^ And I'm by no means suggesting that I'd ever list my children for sale on eBay.  For one, I don't think the rules allow it...

My Bricks and Pieces order, shipped on 22 May still hasn't arrived. I guess it's long gone now. So I've just been on chat to Customer Services who've re-ordered it for me. If only their website was half as good as their people ;-)

Aye, 300. That's 50% of my order value, so a very nice gesture.

Thanking my family for this Father’s Day Lego haul. (I did get some shirts and hedge trimmer attachment for my weed wacker too which I actually did need). The Apollo will look great next to my Saturn V in my office. Can’t wait to build.

I feel very disadvantaged as a dad. All i got was a lame-ass puzzlecube and a framed picture.

    ;)

    enjoy!

Love that minifig @benbacardi! That wasn’t hand drawn onto the minifig was it? Or was it? I certainly couldn’t be that careful.

^ Nah, it's from minifigs.me @MaffyD - you download an A4 template to print, draw on, then scan in and send off to them. They print it on the fig and send it back - it's great!

I bought so much Lego today I had a hard time moving it so I had to get a Taxi home. If I were a bit taller the bags wouldn't drag on the ground so I have to lift them up and Lego is heavy and my arms were dead within a few metres. Managed to get a Ford Mustang and the Lego City Police Station. Is that retiring? I see less and less stock of it and I like it as a set. I want to see if I can fill it out with old bricks and make it a little less toy like. Plus a few other Lego things. Downtown Fire Brigade just for the fire engine and a couple of Lego Movie 2 sets on sale I wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

    ^ and ^^ I think it's part number #6267179 - found only in #75935, according to BrickSet:

I picked up #10403 on a whim (I wanted the 'happy eyes' for Chocolate Bar, and that froggy is too damned cute!), and was pleasantly surprised to see classic smiley minifig heads. I don't collect the modulars, so it's been ages since I've opened a set and been greeted by those. It was a bit of a trip. :D
