Happy owner of #40292 Christmas Box - didn't need to spend anything worth £85 at the time just for the freebie and wasn't planning on using December calendar voucher as not due to visit my local Lego store before Sunday but was in London yesterday and had a bit of time so took it into Leicester Square and this was the free give away for the voucher. Also got the HP polybag because it was there.

2018 City Advent Update: Due to family peace issues, we opened door 7 yesterday so my daughter could build the little girl minifig (I peeked on BL... for everyone's sanity, it was for the best). That left door 6 for my son tonight.

Behind door 6 was not one bagged Snowman, but two! My working theory is the doors above and below 2 and 6 will be double bagged too.

I'll have my wife pick all lego Lego sets from now on to increase the likelihood of double sets inside the box.

    Bring on that UCS Falcon!

Two trips to TRU to get the Fantastic Beasts characters from the CMF series, and I've now got three Newts and a Dobby elf... but still no Jacob. I feel like an utter tit standing there amid Christmas shoppers, fondling little packets.

I freaking loathe CMFs at the best of times, but this is a bit ridiculous. :p

That's the reason minifigmadness  is there to remove the tit  factor

Perhaps feeling a tit is where your going wrong??
It's a lot easier to identify the figures when your minds not elsewhere. ;)
Oh, for sure. I was def rushing things along. Any indented rectangular part got tossed in the "buy it" pile. Hahaha.

Trip number three (I was on a mission, clearly) finally got me Jacob though!

Got a mixed lot of parts which had power functions I needed so that was good. Though I have not been able to identify the top 3 capes below that came in 1 box. Any help or ideas? Can't find on brickink. Apologies for picture size. On my phone with 6% battery so wanted to post before it died!

I believe I have a sealed duplicate of him I could let go at cost plus shipping if necessary, depending on what province you're in. PM me if you're still searching and I'll be more than happy to help a fellow Canadian out.

Thank you for the offer, but I did actually finally get him. I made a third trip that day, bringing a scissor to double check before heading home again. :p

That's why I usually say "backlog management". No problem here...
'Backlog' would infer you intend to build.  (Which would be their intended purpose.)  'Inventory' clearly indicates something entirely different.  Probably a psychosis or disorder.

... What if I have both 'backlog' AND 'inventory' management problems concerns?  Just... asking for a friend...

I'm updating my website and I'm in process of putting my LEGO page together -> https://www.pepster.com/lego
I'm adding about 8 pictures and reviewing each one of them, plus eventually I'll be adding some video as well.

A bit frustrated. My Ideas project is slow to gain support, and I don't have 100 supporters.

So are there any leaks yet about the next CMF line? Shouldn't we be seeing leaks by now? I'm assuming TLM2?
  • MegtheCatMegtheCat Member Posts: 500
^^ It was about this time last year that TLBM2 was revealed, so here's hoping the next CMFs are coming soon.

Finished my latest MOC. 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic. I hope this isn’t too big, because re-sizing made it too small.

Lovely! Care to share directions or a few dissection screenshots?

I find it interesting that the Brickpicker portfolio I use (not sure how many use it) hasn't been able to update their numbers since August?  Its now well into December - so about 4 months worth of data that isn't showing.  I wonder what the owner/admins of the site do, or rather, don't do?  I would assume a macro or other coding of some type would be able to automate the updates on Brickpicker?

I know there are likely many variables but it's super silly... Of course, I'm not a tech genius...

Perhaps I’ll take a few screenshots at some point. Most of my MOCs are started on a whim, depending on what parts I have and/or what cars I’ve been considering. Or maybe I came across a car image online and decide I want to build that. That’s the story behind the MOC I built before this Bugatti.

I was able to examine the 2018 LEGO Employee Gift.  It is a fairly detailed Santa, Sleigh and Reindeer.

Not as nice as last year's Nutcracker, but nice nonetheless.

^ I heard there was also a brick built minifigure for the 40th anniversary of the minifig.

Have long resisted getting road plates due to the cost... but the local toy shop is clearing them out at 40% so now my son is getting the stack of road plates for Christmas he keeps asking for.

Been enjoying the City Advent calendar more this year. Feel like there are better parts to mix into the winter village stuff, but maybe that’s just me. Son loves it. Can’t wait to get that toy digger build that’s on the box. Every morning he comes down and says “dad, it’s time to open that Advent calendar. You think we will get that digger today?”

A couple of detailed photos.  It appears the Santa minifigure is brick built.

(I'm not impressed with the brick-built hands.)

Hectic week at work with four 12hr days in London means its been very barren on the LEGO front. Lazy Sunday afternoon cooking dinner I had a few spare minutes so got #40254 out to build....
    ....really fun and looks brilliant.

This eBay seller's telling me to contact USPS  in order to get my address corrected when I've been using the same one for all my past transactions. I told him that's his responsibility. It's been almost two weeks with the item going back and forth NY and CA, and the tracking says insufficient address.

I can barely bring myself to post such horrific injuries, but this seller thought sending a polybag out in a normal unpadded envelope was a good idea.
