(By the way, that is my... er... his... wife's scarf. Which was way more fashionable than the one that came with the children's costume.)
Halloween Legoland was fun!
Although they do seem to work their staff to death...
There was also a full shelf of DC Super Hero Girls. Didn't visit the discount store yet, but pretty sure they still have hundreds of those binders to hold the Chima game cards.
I'm a kid at heart, so that should qualify ;)
In the evening I then went to the LEGO House:
Where apart from all the interesting presentations (might do a write-up on those later) I was introduced to this very nice brick separator:
(I asked Astrid and she said it was OK to post pictures of this new colour, as long as I mentioned where I had seen it.)
We build this funky little set with lots of interesting building techniques:
And Matthew Ashton was so nice to draw me a Unikitty!
Thank you Astrid and the LEGO House for organising!
Bye bye LEGO House for tonight, but I'll be back tomorrow :)
I guess I should just be happy and say thank you anyway :)
Eating at the Mini Chef restaurant and have the robots deliver your food is still very entertaining!
Now waiting to board my plane back home, so taking a picture of the business lounge's guard and buying the obvious:
Billund was great fun as always; I hope to be back again soon!
I only wish camera phones had been better back then.
Thoughts and/or suggestions?
However, I am happy to report that the candy bowls are 22% lighter than on Friday. And I ordered three highly coveted prospective Christmas gifts.
Ugh. Maybe next weekend...
If anyone wants a lovely upright Wurlitzer piano - it's free and I'll help you move it into your vehicle.
I've had over 150 orders since 2012. 50 of those in the last 6 months. And whilst I've had some bad experiences, the seller has been good about it and sorted things out.
I suspect I'm an anomaly for this seller, as he has almost 5000 positive feedback reports. But his responses to the negatives (which I'm looking forward to!) are telling.
This seller was so slow, I had to chase the invoice after almost a week, then it took only 2 days to be marked as shipped, which seemed fair. But the postage was bought 5 days after.
The seller outright denied this happened!
Then the (new) parts arrived, a week after they were "shipped" 2nd class, they were quite grubby and many of them were badly scratched and scuffed. One even had what looked like a lump of snot stuck to it. Snot, not SNOT ;-)
Fair enough, the seller offered me a refund for the parts. But not for the postage or the return postage.
I thought I was being fair when I wrote:
"Very slow, had to chase my order. Poor comms. Most new parts ok, but some v. bad"
The character limit makes it hard to give meaningful feedback.
Anyone want to buy 144 dirty, scratched 1x3 tiles in DBG??
Hogwarts Castle, Voltron, Rollercoaster, Disney Castle, UCS MF, Death Star, the 5 Modulars, Firehouse Headquarters, Ferris Wheel, etc etc all put together would also look quite impressive.
(Who sends a package out addressed simply to "San Francisco, California"? And when I complained that it never arrived, four seperate customer service people picked up my complaint, and each one placed a replacement order for me...)
I built one of them today and I must say, what an enjoyable little build! Some really interesting building techniques used, but the icing on the cake is just how poseable this guy is. One of the most posable Lego mechs in recent times I think.
These look amazing! What size plate did you go with for the x wing? I almost bought a few of these also, but I can’t decide which base plates to get.
"Reply: Perhaps the most supercilious buyer I've ever had! Sellers beware!!"
Then, his feedback to me:
"Demanding, supercilious & stupidly high expectations - sellers beware!"
Unfortunately, he forgot to change "Praise" to "Complain", so I still have 100% positive feedback ;)
I'm so supercilious, I had to Google what it meant to be sure:
I guess it's about right. I do feel superior to someone who sells LEGO covered in snot :)
