For today, see yesterday! Simultaneously watching touring cars and F1 while building a couple of polybags and mucking around with the 60th anniversary classic sets.

Had the house to myself for the afternoon while Mrs and Little Miss Speedman went shopping. They returned with #75195 For £10 from Tesco. So that will be built once I've finished cooking a Sunday roast!

    Phew - what a whopper!
Yes! After 2½ weeks, it's finally here!!!
Top marks to TrU - despite the long delivery time, Ninjago City arrived in absolutely perfect condition (in its original, sealed Lego shipping box packed inside a second massive box padded out with air cushions) :-))

^ Wow, I got mine 3 days after I ordered from TRU.de and I'm not even in Germany. The box setup was the same - box inside original lego box inside huge box with a million air bags. :)

^ Not really sure what the problem was. Maybe just too many people wanting to take advantage of the 20% discount offer? No idea.

I just checked the 2 s18 CMFs I ordered from [email protected] to make up my order to get the GWP minifig factory. I've been looking for the policeman, of course, but also the elephant girl.

And luckily, I got an elephant girl! Yay!

I also got another 2x3 brick girl, but I don't mind have a few of those in my spares collection as I like them so much :-)

A colleague of mine gave me five S18 he'd picked up as a 'thank you' for some help I'd given him last week, so that was a lovely surprise!

There were two cowboys and a cat, both of which I already had - but the race car guy and the dragon were both ones I needed!

Got back from the US about a week ago and thought I would tell of my experience in The Lego Store in Rockerfeller Center.
it's a tease. A real tease. All these sets that I want but I can't buy due to being a tourist.
I did buy a couple of magnets and key rings. Surprised the minifig magnets aren't glued together and is just a normal mini fig on a magnetic base. I put the statue of liberty up on the fridge and 2 minutes later brushed past her and knocked the flame out of her torch. Had to move it around to a spot where it won't be knocked off hopefully.

Anyway since being back I've gotten on with the Force Awakens Millennium Falcon and will be making a start on the other sets I have in the to build pile.

Free bananas from TRU! It helps when the sets are also on discount. Paid S$35 (USD27) for Bus Station and S$33 (USD25) for the Creator set.

The other items were bought elsewhere.

No banana's in UK TRU. Did complete the UNO styled LEGO card pack tonight though. Each pack has been reduced to 5p.

Just bought #75212 Kessel Run Millennium Falcon and #75210 Moloch's Landspeeder at Mall of America Lego store, got #5005376 Star Wars Anniversary Pod and #5005358 Minifigure Factory freebies. With around a foot of snow predicted for this weekend, I think I'll stay in and build! Maybe a SW movie marathon... all 9 movies!

Just found this.  Those were the days.  Not the sealed boxes of figs, still have them.  The room.  A tidy lego room.

That carpet even looks freshly vacuumed, which makes it even more amazing as a LEGO room!

(Also, *cough*, if you're looking to get rid of any of those Team GB boxes/sets, feel free to hit me up ^.~)

Lol.  Carpet was brand new.  Had only been laid a day or two.

    Figs are always available.  :)

    Wow @Legoboy

An almost empty mancave. Just think though, that picture is the almost blank canvas, call it a basecoat, or foundation, for so many stories, exclusives, and most importantly friendships that have been built alongside the bricks and figures in there now. ;o)

I bet there's not a single thing in there that doesn't have a story all of it's own. :o)

Well I never! If it's not #10258 London Bus!
Bought this beauty at the Brighton Store last August on AFOL Day :-)
I am already slightly perturbed by large number of stickers to be applied. But I shall soldier on regardless ...

I got a Clikits set today from a charity shop. As new. All bags etc still sealed. Poor thing. Hidden away somewhere unloved for 13 years. I ticked the 'I Own' box over on the main site. There's 26 of us apparently. Hello to the other 25! Aren't the flashing lights exciting!!! Even after 13 years the lights work!!

For those who have the experience shipping minifigs in the US, what is the most cost-effective and reliable method of shipping?

I know this is a question, but that's my Lego Status currently! :)

I ship using the cheapest available option with a bubble mailer. I've never had any problems. Pro tip: re-use the bubble mailers you receive if you're trading. ;D

Debating doing a bit of re-arrangning in the Lego room and setting up a proper theme park. Currently, I have 5 rides that are all just kind of sat next to each other, but with the upcoming rollercoasters, part of me thinks it may be time to finally commit...

Been building this A-wing and Tie-Fighter, last couple of days.

Very impressed with how the firing missiles are hidden in the build (especially in the A-wing) and have a clever mechanism to shoot them from. Really impressed with this design.

The fighter looks spot-on on for this size.

Felt sorry for the group of afols feeling (unsuccessfully) for policemen in the glasgow store when I had one in my bag. They did get other cmfs they wanted though.

I'm also concerned I managed to go over the spend to get the minifig factory without buying a single set!

I saw this set get a lot of low level shade, but the two builds were really clever, and the firing mechanism you point out in the A-Wing was really great.  I think it got a lot of undeserved flack, especially since the two ships are the perfect content and size for double-fisted swooshing!

This week I've been taking apart several Star Wars set to tidy up the display area; at some point ship on top of a ship defeats the point of "displaying" the sets.

Sets go into properly labeled Ziploc bags. I'm not sure if I will ever rebuilt some of these sets (e.g. #75100 First Order Snowspeeder) and I should just add them to my part collection instead.

One step at a time I guess :-)

@JooTog we really need to get started on that too, good luck with it!

We're adding more though, my son is building #75103 and I'm just getting some windows in The Elizabeth Tower.

#75103 got taken apart last night. I remember enjoying the build and I thought it looked good as well.

From your previous post: My TIE and A-Wing are still on display; I really like them.

Loved this set when I got it. £80 is pretty steep for what in reality is a pair of £25-30 ships. Luckily I caught it on the Asda online sale for £40 with an extra 10% of I think a couple of Christmas ago. The A-Wing is spot on and looks great with the polybag pilot that came out around the same time.
