I started on the diner yesterday and finished bag 1 (building in small bursts). I'm loving the teal and the overall feel of it.
Managed to hit 600 sets and 1500 minifigs in the same order!
Just need to build the truck thingy and another container. And deal with a few more stickers.
In other news, secured a replacement set for one I lent out 15 years ago for it never to return. My parents bought me it first time round following a semi-major operation I had in 1983. Yes, I was in and out of hospitals back then too. Very very excited.
It's a beaut, but now the wait......
@legoboy very jealous, I always saw ~8860 in the shops and catalogues and wanted it, had to make do with getting #8841 for my birthday one year.....really not the same
@Speedman29 - No rare sets were harmed in the making of the post concerned.
Slowest I've ever seen it by far. Won't be surprised if we see changes to the service in the future.
With the irregularities people have been seeing recently, I'm really wondering if they are actually moving to consolidate the PAB and B&P services into one. I know it's been discussed, but it seems like people have been having odd experiences with both of them the last couple months, and a consolidation like that would probably explain a lot of it...
To make it at least feel a bit like a Lego room, I added 1 frame with CMF's to the wall...
Here in Belgium ice cream comes in very sturdy plastic containers that a lot of people then reuse to put other food in, like when you want to bring a piece of cake to your neighbours or freezer some soup.
Hypnotize customers into buying Lego?
My local Auchan uses a less threatening approach:
Set of the month (March 2018):
Set of the week (Week 12):
It's so fresh. It's so beautiful.
2 [email protected] deliveries today, showed Mom they're nearly all DUPLO (rather than further expanding my LEGO collection or BrickLink inventory), that DUPLO plus Easter promo was too good a deal. Besides, she thinks they're cute.
Pointed out a sale on a licensed theme to a coworker who likes the license, he said he still has non building block model kits bought months ago. Backlog, I know the feeling.
Took the boss shopping today so wasn't expecting anything LEGO related to happen but came across a toy shop that had a nearly new case of the series 18 minifigures in stock.
After a few minutes of frantic fumbling (so not to keep the boss waiting), eventually found the singular Police Officer from the box.
Can now relax and find the rest at a more leisurely pace and complete the series without worrying about the cases being cherry picked of the rarer figure. :)
The only thing I can say for definite is that it came out of the third row of figures, unfortunately the box wasn't sealed when I got to it and several packets were lying on top so not sure how helpful this will be, although it does coincide with the comment made by @CapnRex101 in his review on the main site.
I have so many lego policemen, I could probably populate a small police only town with them.
But some of the other cmf 18, I require more than 3. :)
As an AFOL I couldn’t help myself but to point out that these lights look identical in shape to the LEGO Minifigure head.
