@Bumblepants - Yeah, three containers does look a bit crap. One is refrigerated though :-D

Thanks to Minecraft you can get pink, tan, reddish brown and dark red 1*2 with groove. I also just got a bunch of dark green they added for the technic snow truck last August. I will soon have a rainbow of containers.

@legopants very irresponsible play with a rare set, I think you should just hand it over to me now for safe playing keeping

@legoboy very jealous, I always saw ~8860 in the shops and catalogues and wanted it, had to make do with getting #8841 for my birthday one year.....really not the same

More like four.  It should be long enough to match the Horizon Express...

@Speedman29 - No rare sets were harmed in the making of the post concerned.

Just taken a month for a Bricks and Pieces order to be shipped out. Hopefully get it by end of week. Not that big an order either.

Slowest I've ever seen it by far. Won't be surprised if we see changes to the service in the future.

With the irregularities people have been seeing recently, I'm really wondering if they are actually moving to consolidate the PAB and B&P services into one.  I know it's been discussed, but it seems like people have been having odd experiences with both of them the last couple months, and a consolidation like that would probably explain a lot of it...

@snowhitie using ice cream trays to store parts - did the trays have ice cream directly in them? If so, wash them carefully so the stuff doesn't get on the LEGO. I have some popcorn tubs I repurposed for LEGO but even after washing them as thoroughly as other dishes they still have a bit of popcorn smell.

@snowhitie thought the trays might've been from small snacks. Okay, they're unrelated to the ice cream comment. Here, only huge ice cream packages are in plastic, and I'm not sure how good the containers are for reuse. A second and/or machine wash might be a good idea.

Sorting the brown bags from 48 #10704 - this was the Walmart Thanksgiving deal - gives you a sense of my backlog, and a tendency to buy too much in bulk when stuff is on sale

@Legopants cartoon about being a bad LEGO train driver reminds me of playing with my hospital MOC and firing the paramedic minifigure for repeatedly crashing the ambulance.

@Legoboy #8860 is from 1980. Did you literally get it from a TLG vault or is that hyperbole about getting an old set? It seems you collect a lot of vintage LEGO.

2 [email protected] deliveries today, showed Mom they're nearly all DUPLO (rather than further expanding my LEGO collection or BrickLink inventory), that DUPLO plus Easter promo was too good a deal. Besides, she thinks they're cute.

Pointed out a sale on a licensed theme to a coworker who likes the license, he said he still has non building block model kits bought months ago. Backlog, I know the feeling.

Nice.  Having snagged one with the Smyths discount and TRU gold card hand-in further discount on Sunday I have been doing a few bags per day and absolutely loving the build.  Finished level 1 last night so might get to start Level 2 today.

Knowing the way the forum works, right in the middle of a completely irrelevant thread about clone companies or new releases that should be better than they are. ;)

@bandit778 you remember where about in the box you found him? Thanks.
  • bandit778bandit778 Member Posts: 2,382
    @gmonkey76.
The only thing I can say for definite is that it came out of the third row of figures, unfortunately the box wasn't sealed when I got to it and several packets were lying on top so not sure how helpful this will be, although it does coincide with the comment made by @CapnRex101 in his review on the main site.

^All of my (sealed) boxes had the Policeman in the first row - but in different positions. I was expecting the boxes to have the figures in the same order given they were all supplied with the same stand but no. Same batch code as well.

^ This is a good thing. At least if it's somewhat random with the placement of the chase figure, they won't be automatically plucked out and it'll give collectors more of a fighting chance to find the figure.
  • VenunderVenunder Member Posts: 2,659
I can't see the value of the classic policeman as a chase figure?
I have so many lego policemen, I could probably populate a small police only town with them.
But some of the other cmf 18, I require more than 3. :)

Avent Calenders?  Time really does stand still at the airport.  And BTW, that guy in the back has no idea he's about to be lunch for a T-Rex.
