The final parts arrived, so I got to assemble my Millennium Falcon Special Edition Microfighter. Pretty happy with the end result.

There's a few extra photos on my flickr, including some with the #75030 & #75193 Falcons for comparison.

Another thing I'm worried about is the operating hours of the LEGO store inside BLL. I read online that they open at 4 am, but I can not confirm that. I want to make sure I can pick up some exclusives to bring home.
I don't think there are any exclusives in the Billund Airport store as such... I mean, there can always be a poly left or right that's a bit more rare, but something like the Billund Airport set has been sold out long ago. All the other exclusives are at the Lego House store :)

Getting pretty tired of this Amazon packaging shit. Just got another smashed box. Of course it's going back and I'll get a replacement which hopefully isn't missing a corner, but seriously.

Such a shame. I guess I won't have to worry about that now. Thanks!

It's been a while since I posted but I wanted to share some good news and ask for some recommendations.

I found a great deal on a flight from Seattle to Copenhagen from Late April to Early May, so I'm quite excited to be visiting Europe for the first time!

Here's a draft of my itinerary:
    1. Day 1: LEGO House / Surrounding Attractions
    2. Day 2: LEGOLand
    3. Day 3: Early morning flight (6:00 am) out of Billund to Copenhagen to catch my flight home (Departs CPH at 12:15 pm)
Is LEGOLand worth an entire day of my travels? I've been to the one in California so it should be more or less the same.

Another thing I'm worried about is the operating hours of the LEGO store inside BLL. I read online that they open at 4 am, but I can not confirm that. I want to make sure I can pick up some exclusives to bring home.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. :)

Turns out it's not going back and I'll have 2 of them shortly. For the frustration the packaging team is causing their customer service team is at least performing admirably... I guess I can live with that. ;-)

You have inspired me to return a smashed SW Advent Calendar box I got.  It was smashed in such a way that the seal was peeled open, and while it looks like everything is there, I can't for sure prove that it is... Deadline for a return was the 15th of March, so I'm going to send it back and get another one.  It's my first box that's badly enough smashed that I thought about sending it back (since I'm not a box collector and I end up building all my sets) but I wasn't going to because I figured it wasn't worth the hassle.  But dang it I paid for a new set, so I'm going to get a new set that I know no one has pilfered for a valuable minifig or two!

Been quite busy with school for the past couple years, but I'm happy to be back! Thanks for the warm welcome. :)

I've been restricting myself to only purchasing larger exclusive sets. No more CMFs for me!

@LegobrandonCP Not been to Billund myself, but there are a couple of threads that might be of help: here and here and here and finally here

@Lego__Minon also came accross your thread while looking these up where you asked for suggestions about visiting in December, maybe above links might be helpful for you too.

I heard today that my son got his test back from the teacher with an extra point, so he's not got 9,5 out of 10 :) She never replied to my email re the Lego hobby, but looks like she got the message.

I've been rebuilding some older sets the last couple of days, done two of the 3 in one #31024 set, with a dinosaur today, got him to meet one of his toy-brothers.

Finally, we watched The Lego Ninjago Movie tonight. Glad I finally saw it and there were some funny bits in it but I do feel the films are going donwhill. Really difficult to get over the fact the ninja's didn't do much ninja-ing, like the storyline of the series better. My son did seem to enjoy it.

@AndyPol that plane is brilliant. My daughter is doing WW1 at school and I am finding it really interesting. Her class is building a trench (out of cardboard etc) and this would be great to have with it. I did send in a couple of my hubby's little airfix models (Red Baron and a Camel). Unfortunately this particular class of 9/10 year olds are a DESTROY bunch (not on purpose they are just a bit rough). At least the Lego can be rebuilt!!

Unfortunately, I do not have the instructions as we had to leave them for the next group but it was a very simple build, and gave the children (half of whom had never played with LEGO!) a really enjoyable experience, hopefully leaving memories that will swell the ranks of Bricksetters in the future.....

I purchased #75886 and #75887 to go along with #75878 and #75880 to build all four this weekend, thinking the 12 Hours of Sebring was on Saturday.

Much to my disappoint, the 12 Hours of Sebring is actually on March 17th, not March 10th.

Luckily, the IndyCar season starts this weekend, a full two weeks before I thought it did, so that was a nice surprise.

Otherwise there hasn't been much to talk about Lego wise. I'm still on a high from the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl win, but work has been insanely busy and kept me from being able to clean out display space to work on my backlog.

When did [email protected] stop selling sticker sheets? I remember buying one for Zane's Titanium dragon and one for a Speed Champions set about two years ago. Called today and they said new policy and they only do replacement if it's missing from a set. Poop. =/

That feeling when 999 parts you order from [email protected] arrive and it turns out you picked the wrong color :-(

Now, to figure out what to do with 999 reddish brown flat tile 2x2. Challenge accepted!

So far I have come up with:
    - Buy 999 #4520638 Box 2X2X2 to get 999 crates for... train cargo load?
    - Flatted 75059 Sandcrawler all around.

    ;-)

I'm going on the hunt tonight after work for The new Hulkbuster set.
Wife is going out with friends and kids will be off with Grandma.
So I'll have plenty of free time to pop into a few stores to find it and build it in peace.

If I can't find that I may go for the Anakin Skywalker BBQ set.

Some official TLG color names are different from the BL names I'm used to. Did have anything to do with the confusion, or was it a goofup either way?

Building racecar sets while watching racing reminds me of comments about space models and NASA movies

Much of my work is running a BL store, which makes it especially ironic that I don't have much time to build. Also getting back into a non-LEGO hobby a bit.

With ya on the Patriots Super Bowl loss. I'm a Bills fan, I'm excited they finally made the playoffs at all. :)

It was either a goof up on my side or the system glitch on me. I wanted black tiles so I am not sure how I could have picked the wrong ones, and I ordered (correctly) 999 black ones in January, but I could have been distracted or in a rush.

It will teach me to double check the order when I get the confirmation email.

    Hulkbuster Vs Samurai Mech!

As my project build is on temporary hiatus due to Bricks and Pieces being on a bit of a go slow, I decided to break open #31066 to pass a bit of time till my parts arrive.

Started small with the moon buggy so I could then work my way up to the main build.

Now don't get me wrong, it's a nice little model, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit disappointed with how few of the parts are used in this build.

I know that they don't incorporate all the parts in all the builds but this is the first time I've built a 3 in 1 and thought to myself 'is this it?' whilst staring at half a bag of unused parts.

Hopefully the habitat and the shuttle will fair better tomorrow.

I got the samurai mech for like 20€, so I would feel cheated paying 140 for the hulkbuster O_O
I guess you better not put it next to the fire mech

hum, yes actually, it was made bigger, but we are still far from 140€ even if you buy and combine 2 samurai mechs

Yes, the original's leg is too short so I've lengthened it. And also added the upper arms.

I wasn't into trains when #10219 came out, but I still kick myself for not buying the set when it was £90. Would dearly love one on our tracks, but not at the big price it commands now.

This is doing my want for it no good!

Little Miss Speedman wanted to get Mrs Speedman something LEGO for Mothers Day from a stall at the Brickish Weekend. She'd indicated that earrings would be nice, but nothing too OTT. These 1x1 round tile biscuits were perfect!

My only ever LEGO regret was selling mine.
I had no intention of getting into trains at the time as I had other themes I wanted to focus on.

However I’m slowly Bricklinking just the locomotive as and when I place other orders.
So far the baseplate and tubes have been the most expensive parts to source.

^^ That's a lovely idea for earrings @Speedman29 !  Although the super close up of the ear had me wondering for a minute about what part of a hand looked like that! I looked at the photo before I read the comment above it!

My girls did their own crafty stuff for my wife on Sunday (a home-made plush teddy from one, and an illustrated poster of one of her favourite poems from the other = "Cozy Apologia" by Rita Dove if anyone is wondering - GCSE parents will recognize it I think).

My boys made the Easter chick, the Friends flower and the 2 other flowers as a gift though which was really nice.

Popped in the Lego store to grab a pab. Usual chat with the manager who was happy to tell me how much I has spent since the last time I used my vip points.  He was asked not to reveal it to my wife when he sees her!  Did get a hulkbuster print (colour one) so can't complain too much.
