But the games are usually fun too. So added bonus.
As for the game being “bug-free,” you’re probably out of luck...there are two spiders right there on the front! (Sorry...I’ll let myself out.)
Yeah boooooi TRU had it.
Thanks for the tips @Speedman29
So, attempted to make my own gummy candy. Got to say it's De-li-cious! Only problem is, they loose their bobbins so not too brick-like. Have tried to soak them in hot water a bit but it's not really helped (even went to the point where they melted again). Some recipes call for putting vegetable oil spray in the mold but I'm worried they'll be sticky then (they are not now). Tips?
But looking after kids is one of my specialities. I'm not known as "Mad Uncle Ryan" for nothing :)
And we'll not mention the time I turned up to a party dressed as Pepa Pig... and made a 6 year old cry. I mean, who knew Pepa Pig was 2m tall?? (the costume adds a bit of height)
Changed the recipe a bit, extra gelatine, worried they'd get to 'chewie' but turned out great. Very happy. Lego everywhere ;)
And occassionally posting photos like these:
Only 22 bags this time. @stlux - I win today! And I am happy to hear progress on the residence built around a LEGO room. I'm planning on doing the same next year.
Ironically, well, something like that.
Six trips to the truck. It's easier to buy them by box size, so as to maximize the space in the truck, and reduce the amount of time and Tetrising that needs to occur.
And having no sense of proportionality or embarassment...
Overall really good build with great techniques, although very delicate in places. Especially good to build with 2 since the 'mirrored' builds could be done by another person. Listened to most of Harry Potter and the half-blood prince as well while doing it. Very grateful to @iso3200 for trusting us with these bricks, we had loads of fun.
It's going to have pride of place for a while now, will have to move it upstairs or high up for the kids party next week, because although Harrison Ford isn't invited, I think it might be a bit too tempting and too heavy to have around.
With a little bit of creative thinking, I think I may have got away with leaving the dimensions toy pad where it is so I can carry on playing it now that I've actually started the game. :D
Meanwhile, Sam built a ship of sorts out of 2x4s and was very pleased with it until he learnt it had to be dismantled.
In addition to @MaffyD and @SumoLego's advice, you could be a draw host for one of the weekly Brickset Bonus Balls? Sure to give you some extra likes ;)
We are always looking for draw hosts to add to the list, so if anybody would like to volunteer please drop @snowhitie a PM.
@Legoboy - Sam's expression in that last photo is hilarious!
"Right Sam, do your best unhappy face. Like you REALLY don't want to take down this model, and I've eaten your advent calendar chocolate."
"What? No, I'm not going to share it anywhere - I wouldn't do that to you. Why would you think that?"
"Well, that time was different. I've changed, honest!"
"But yes, I have eaten your chocolate."

:-)
No, I don't have an explanation as to why I didn't have a pair of these already!
(I tried to take a picture of me wearing them today to work, but my phone kept focusing on my shirt instead of the cufflinks...)
So I've just been to the post office to return it for a replacement.
To my knowledge, that's the first time I've ever had a set mangled from Amazon.
"We’re sorry, but we haven’t been able to process your order XXXXXXXX as it didn’t pass our validation checks. This could be for a number of reasons and it may simply be that the number of parts you requested exceeds our maximum order quantity."
How is one piece exceeding the maximum quantity. Tried multiple times, same result. Now I feel bummed that I can`t complete the set, or that I need to find that piece somewhere (unfortunately I don`t have it in my spares)
I'm screwed..
With enough pieces to almost finish my black ops Exo-Suit :)
I just need to work out what to use for the remaining LBG parts: the half bushes and the wheel hubs
Paaaartly because I drive a Focus MK1 and I want Lego to do the legwork of designing a minifig scale one so I can adapt it into my car (gutless 1.4 not RS, but still). But also because I may not have fully grown out of the 90s kid that I am and I still think the last-model Escort Cosworth's whaletail spoiler is awesome and hot hatches in general are cool. There, I said it.
Oh well, guess that grants me another PaBorder after the holidays. ;)
