My dad told me quickly opened the door, called the delivery guy over to him and yelled at him for five minutes straight about how unprofessional he was.
Fortunately the set itself was undamaged :) Blows my mind that with the bad publicity they received last time with that viral video that this is still happening.
Watched a neighbour kid for half an hour - I guess the 'lady who plays with Lego' is a good place to go in an emergency (my son was at music lesson). He was very well behaved and we built a park and some cars with eyes - got to love the colours!
This could make an excellent idea for the Bonusball Draw question...
Yes, the off center stickers bother me too (I didn't place them).
As @CapnRex101 pointed out, these were the code names assigned to the sets for the new movie.
These code names for The Last Jedi sets are apparently still in my local supermarket's computer, and have now made an appearance in their Sinterklaas/Christmas toy catalog:
Interesting enough, they do get the set names right in the description...
This is actually the more competent of supermarket chains here in Lux, so I have to wonder if somebody is not simply having a laugh...
@sid3windr Isn't the fun bit sharing Lesters? :)
I'm heading in tonight and will have a couple "spare"... ;)
Well, I remember there being a load of posts from new or newish users in Marketplace hoping to have 3 posted to them, but I don't remember many of the "regulars" asking for a favour. And regulars are the sort who would read this thread. Posting such craziness in Marketplace would certainly cause an explosion!
I also realised I might only end up with 1 spare, what with Secret Santa coming along very soon ;-)
These are all my unused third party made firearms:
The dilemma is how to actually start using some of these little by little outside of law enforcement, criminal underworld, and military special operations. Not as simple as it sounds.
These are Brickarms replicas of old rifles, such as a Lee-Enfield and a M1 Garand. These are pretty eaay to intergate into a Lego minifigure world. Many real life weapons like this tend to get passed down within the family.
These aren’t as easy to intergrate. I have so many of these modern assault/semi-auto/battle rifles from third party manufacturers.
The main thing is not giving every single minifigure one, but, I gotta figure out something.
All those weapons are just asking for a MOC Arsenal build.
Terminator 2 Weapon cache?
Survivalists hut, with underground bunker/arsenal?
Police station Arsenal?
Police Evidence Locker?
Or just a Weapon Shop?
well you get the idea. :)
I also have a gang of gun runners in my imaginary Lego city. I already have a SWAT Team as well. I like having all of those available in case I want to do some sort of scene with my minifigures, but I gotta start using more.
Firearms museum?
It's times like this, I wish those companies would make more products for more phone models like back when Nokia was one of biggest phone manufacturers...
Great to meet another forum member and natter.
new SW sets to the actual names":
So my local supermarket is selling #75530 Big Brown Bear, #75529 Poog Bear Guard and #75528 Goldi-Locks. No Pooh/Yogi name for #75526 though...
Do not forget to sign up for Brickset Secret Santa! :)
I really like that Brickarms Sturmwegher 44. Had to use it somehow.
The lone pink Brickarms had to go somewhere.
Seller posts a killer deal - Switchfoot finds said deal and extends an agreement to purchase - Seller responds with mutual agreement of purchase - Two hours later seller marks deal as sold to someone else - Switchfoot cries in corner.
The latest iteration had to do with two full totes of bricks. One containing every Monster Fighter Set as well as the Haunted House and several other smaller sets. The other containing several LOTR sets, most still in original bags. The price tag? $240.
I'm sure many of you have been at this for years and years who have suffered through the thrill of finding a deal, only to have it ripped from your hands, know how to manage the disappointment better than I. But the sting is still so bitterly real for me. It doesn't help when I've lived it over and over and over during the last few months!
I just keep telling myself the next one will be mine! THE NEXT ONE WILL BE MINE!
Once a deal is struck a seller should not really take a higher offer, but greed is rife and a definite sale now at a higher price, is hard to resist, over a possible sale later.
My wife is done hearing me mope around about missing this one yesterday. I better buck up quick or my buying green-light may disappear quickly!
