another 2k11 club member here :)
@bendybadger I was actually thinking you probably have a high ratio and I should look it up ;) the dial-up internet was something else. Been watching old Morses and keep thinking how quickly certain holes in people's alibi's would be discovered of they could just go online.
Back to Lego status, got my r2-d2 ordered and building a bit more of my Slave-I.
Girls gotta looks good whilst building :)
And they are only for Lego (whatever @bendybadger might think). They even have a fancy pouch too so my stickers are squeaky-clean!
ahh... i only had to use them twice so far, once when some parts fell into a deep inaccessible spot and once on a technic gordian knot
I have the lot below stored up, 3 day weekend now and a week off later in May.
Someone just TRY to wipe this massive grin off my face!
By the way a few of the boxes are already empty and the parts in other containers.
That what losers say ;-)...behold my mighty 242 posts and 195 likes..run in fear..i'm coming for you all...medicine time!
The box of this set is huge, but the five bags and instruction booklet would have easily fit in a €30 set, so I jucked the contents in my luggage, et voila!
Really great set! I haven't applied the stickers yet to the engine nacelles as you can see.
Boba's machine is coming together...
Got my box of Series 17s yesterday :-))
Is that a traffic violation "boot"?
I thought about taking that set with me, but I figured it would take up too much space. So it is still sitting in it's sealed box at home.
I'd prefer a grope if you're offering?
Nope all good with me here
Meanwhile at Isengard, Orthanc is having its annual dusting...
Unless I decide to do some sort of MOC of Thanos's Bathed-Blood Star-Way, I have no use for 2x2 bright red tiles...
"It's not a dress. It's a tunic"
It's more of an analysis of the volume and protuberances of each enclosed polyurethane receptacle.
Also nabbed a copy of #3837 Monster 4 game, useful parts supply normally. There are no nice baseplates this time, but loads of scary minifigure heads
nevermind just seen on other thread t was Camp Hopson
I have that to build too, but the pieces have been mixed, so I'm a little gunshy about getting started.
put almost all of my unopened retired sets up for sale and made these in preperation for Edinbrick. Thats about half what i think i need!
The chocolate mold has took some beating. I tired it before and miserable failed
@vizzitor so you planned a massive backlog? usually those happen by accident. :) I also end up opening and repackaging before I get to building. I am waiting for this weekend to work on a huge set.
I've avoided the LEGO ice cube tray or cake mold because I don't need more kitchen gadgets and I alreayd spend more than enoguh on actual LEGO.
...Blox Pick a Brick!
Or else just started taking apart some sets just after Christmas, began organising a small number of parts, which became most of my collection, which then turned into buying more drawers and boxes and reorganising absolutely everything but only at weekends. All the while, I was taking advantage of some really good offers in various shops and online.
Hope you enjoy your weekend of building. I've only built a handful of the sets in the picture so far but it really makes up for the months of self-imposed exile!
(And yes, I'm short one display case for S16.)
And the single most disturbing minifigure ever.
(Frankly, I think it makes it look cluttered.)
I must admit that while I'm not truly satisfied with my little modification, this was a fulfilling and satisfying build. It still needs some work on the entrance to the upper cafe floors and the tiling on the sidewalk and plaza needs a lot of improvements (I didn't expect to have enough grey tiles to cover it), but once you start populating your city, those things become secondary.
Now, if only I could find a better paying job so that I can get the other modulars...
