Quick! Call the thumb doctor!!! ;-D
It's not the same without Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker. And really poor special effects :-)
Bag 1 complete - all fingers and thumbs still intact :-)
Bag 2 completed without injury. Just bag 3 left now :-)
Should keep you busy for 3 or 4 hours :-)
Very enjoyable build :-) I reckon I should be finished in an hour or so.
Surf's up! ...
... Wipeout!
I do love Paris and definitely enjoyed this build. Nice way to spend a Bank Holiday :-)
(And yes, it actually arrived on Friday, sto all is right in the world).
In other news, my son has found a new pen-holder :)
Mine was delivered last saturday (Amazon UK, physically coming from Amazon IT) and was totally squashed due to poor packaging. Got me a 20% refund so I'm OK with it, in this case the boxes were expendable ;)
The feeling of relief plus slight trepidation when you hit the "Mark All Viewed" button. Relief that you've finally caught up on all the posts you were following/interested in/commenting on/laughing at/etc (because Easter was mega-busy) and trepidation that you might miss a post on a thread because it got posted just before you hit the button - what if it's the last post in the thread? It's gone forever now! Like tears in rain...
I am so weak... :-/
What store did you find them in?
Everything always seems to start several hundred miles away from the NE of Scotland..or am i just being overly dramatic..:-)
It always seems like that to be honest. It's maybe it feels like that because we're an impatient lot
It could be worse, you could be in the north west! There are a lot of afols in that neck of the woods.
When you're right..you're right...to be honest i thought you said important when i first read it...but either way you'd be right
Those buggers are not that far but might aswell be on the moon...
And now I just want a LEGO Gotham City Sirens spin off movie!
30 sets, $9.99 ea.; all 299 points mine and I get to keep one of the sets (I picked BrickHeadz Black Widow for myself).
The selection of sets are a mixed of BricHeadz, Creator, City and Star Wars Microfighters (there a couple of Star Wars in the team besides me).
Nobody else in the department is into LEGO, but a few of them enjoy watching me put together small sets at lunch (which I do almost every day).
It was my boss' idea; let's see how well is received by the rest of the team.
I am not sure what my boss have planned, or even if she has a concrete plan for the sets :-)
So far it looks like it's going to be an after-event activity where everybody get to pick one set and then we just go to our break area and build the sets together/at-the-same-time.
I doubt it will go "wrong", as it is just something different to do, and even if somebody does not care about LEGO, they probably have a kid in their life to give the set to.
I do not have direct reports anymore (Yay!!!), but if I did, I would probably get a modular building set and team them up to build the different floors.
Maybe I should look into LEGO Serious Play in case people like the use of LEGO at the event ;-) After all, I work at the technical training department of the company and used to be an instructor for many years (I still teach the occasional one-off when needed).
Never seem to remember enough about how the solid mass of beams and bricks went together to make it easy.
I blame old age myself.
Lovely weather for a morning of climbing in Snowdonia today
Anybody interested in a Sydney Opera House? (My electric leaf blower is not available.)
There goes all my money for the Assembly Square...
Nah, that looks fine as it is.
You're right. And what's that huge round thing in the back corner?
And I know this can't be right, but it looks like that jar says "Donations for Poops."
'Donations for Troops'
