A dirty mind is a joy forever.
It's the little things like this that make me greatful to have parents that support me loving LEGO.
I'm also on one crutch now! Soon I'll be back to normal! :)
I disagreed and said that the sets in our lives were recently of more quality and definitely getting a lot more quantity.
I gave her #40236
:D
missed groundhog day!
I did not add up the prices I will likely end up paying for these; sometimes it's better not to know these things...
Or you just have too much money to care. :)
I knew it was too good to be true, but I was optimistic. That will teach me I guess.
On the flip side, I had a conversation with Mrs. Switch about Lego. I told her I thought she'd be a great builder. Her response, "Of course I would be!" Her frustration is not knowing what parts are out there, so she doesn't feel like she could build what she wants to build.
I've encouraged her to start playing around with LDD. Still not sure if this is a safe door for me to pry open; at least as far as our bank account is concerned...
Shoes off, running upstairs "can I look at your LEGO please!" He played in there for a bit before my daughter got back and loved it. Sent him home with a lucky dip pick from my polybag stash as well.
Nice.... I saw one that would also fit tft screen... but for what I run on my pie there was no need for one :) no mentioning it was 5x the price :)
The birth of my daughter brought me out of my dark ages so I've been asking my dad where all my Lego is/was but he seem to think it went to my brothers kids long ago.
Well the last night of the holiday my nephew says he saw one of my FB posts with Lego in the background and mentioned he still had my old Lego in the loft at my sister's house whilst we were staying there......
What, I thought it was lost......
No, well excuse me everyone as this might be the last proper time I get to have the time to search through it. Spent the next 3 or 4 hours going through all of it to get the best bits, that I think are the rarer parts set aside for my sister to post over.
All the instruction booklets are in great condition so once my parts turn up it is off to Bricklink to build #8860 and #855, #851 I bought used recently and #854 and #744 I'll build up over time.
Also had two brochures from the Legoland shows that the major Myer (shop) used to put on yearly from 1981 and 82 which highlight some of the better builds.
So happy right now.
So I noticed the new speed champion sets are out on shop @ home. So I headed to my local Lego store hopping to pick some up only to find out that they did not get any.. The store employee told me that they are getting a huge shipment on Monday and to call in to see if they got them. Tempted to just order them online.
Got a Saturday hunting charity shops for LEGO planned for tomorrow too.
Found a new unopened 2011 SW Advent Calendar at a local antique mall, right price so I snagged it.
Still waiting for the 2012, 2013 and 2014 ones I ordered off Bricklink to arrive from overseas.
Went on [email protected] during lunch today and ordered The Phantom, total price Free.50 using my VIP points.
Life is good.
not a lot going on. last week did move some sets around and put some set's away.
a part from that the only thin i doing right now that has anything to do with lego is saving up cash for the 2x VIP, and some "hard to find" lego set's with the 2x vip.
well and trying to slim down the set's i wish to own.
still after "Tower Bridge" and "Big Ban", but "Death Star" and "Disney Castle" are to big and to pricey!
i love to own them don't get me wrong. but i just have no room or the cash to spend on them is i wish to get other set's.
yes i could make room, and there is a bookshelf i wish to get soon. that will help a little with space.
also trying to make up my mind on what set's to buy. i know the main set i wish to get "DO", but i will have enough for 2 or 3 smaller set's (or i could get "AS" and 1 small set.) what to pick what to pick.
part from the set's that come out before i came back to lego, (after Town Hall led gone end of line.) so i have "PS", "PC", "PR", and "BB", and say you may have worked out that i need "AS" and "DO". i think i get "DO" 1st.
well this is a long post for me to make with little to know lego news to tell :P have fun all.
(note I added the decals in Photoshop). Here it is next to an actual model of the character in my avatar:
"I really don't look good in blocky chibi style, do I"
Back home and I've finally got my hands on the Star Wars Rebels Wookie gunship. After at least a dozen failed attempts on Ebay I've got a complete, but dusty version for just over £30.
But if I had a pound for every time my avatar was called a transformer, I'd probably be able to afford the Disney Castle set by now... :oP
That's a really odd part to go missing. And I certainly didn't lose it!
Bag 4 was torn inside the box, and the instructions crumpled. So I think it's dodgy packing.
I've put a request in for a replacement. Let's see how long that takes compared to my as yet not despatched stickers!
odd.
what on earth is going on?
there about 2 weeks away.
