I feel like if LEGO is willing to keep two Hulk molds in service (as we can see in the Hulk vs. Red Hulk set), then surely they'll have no problem keeping the old Iron Man helmet in service for future MCU sets and reserving the new mold for comics-based sets.

I finally finished building #60097 City Square that I bought last year on sale. Applied the Lego shop/truck stickers. They were looking a wee bit curled around the edges on the sticker sheet. And now they're applied, they're peeling off already. Time for a message to Customer Services, methinks!
    (I hate stickers!)
  • omniumomnium Member Posts: 831
I've never had to call Customer Services before and I'd heard they are very good. The woman on the other end of the phone was so happy to help me, I suspect she might have been high ;-)
And new stickers are coming in the post, of course!
I liked not having to wait on hold forever too.

That will be fine, I'm in no hurry. The stickers are hanging on for now, so I won't replace them for a while anyway. CS told me they'd ship within 7-10 days, so we'll see about that :-O

i think you find it 7 to 10 days after it ship's out.
i know it take's a long time as it coming by land all the way and has longer to travel then lego set's do.
all i know is that it took almost 3 months to get the right part i needed after the 1st one i ordered from pick a brick got crushed by yodel, the 2nd time sent the wrong item, and the 3rd time was slower then ever as it was right in the middle of Christmas rush.

    Current status: lego dilema

So as I posted a few pages ago, I finally got my hands on a Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge. Today I finally built the Black Pearl. Buyer stated "All pieces are in excellent condition and are sorted out in plastic bags according to color. Set was only put together once and all pieces are included. Set was disassembled and cleaned before packaged." The set was beyond dirty, my hands were black after I was done but that is besides the point. A few of the pieces were broken and yes I mean broken. The Cannon Base had the handles broken off, brown 4 x 2 was cracked, and a sloped 3 by 1 had the front broken off. My personal opinion is that a broken set is not a complete set. The pieces may not be expensive to replace but it will still cost around $3. Do I have the seller refund me that amount or just leave it alone?

I remember watching one of Jank Brick's video and he made a good point where we have to keep the seller accountable for the items that they sell.

Any comments or suggestions are most welcome

Contact the seller. Broken pieces are definitely not in excellent condition.

(Really) late to the party but the only thing I disagreed with in The LEGO Movie was one line in the "Everything is Awesome" song. The "everything is cool when you're part of a team" bit. Sure, it works great when you're two inches tall and made of plastic, but do you even remember having to do group projects in school? They are the worst!

Just arrived home with a copy of The Big Issue to find two TLBM CMFs arrived in the post :-)

Personally, I open my CMFs by slicing along the seam on the back. That way, there is no visible damage to the packet. Both these sellers just cut the along the bottom of the packet with a pair of scissors. Seems excessive, but not a problem.

After finding lots of useful white parts on the PaB wall at my local LEGO store, I've spent the last week using LDD to try to recreate a smaller version of a huge MOC I did a few years ago but never managed to complete, with the intention of eventually building it for real:

9,634 parts and one huge shock regarding the price of all the pieces I need later, combined with the fact that I still need to do all the floor tiling, ceiling tiling and exterior landscaping, I'm wondering if it really was a good idea to build a modular scale eight-storey building with a view to BL'ing it... even if I already have a third of the pieces needed thanks to my local PaB wall. I suppose it's lucky there's not much stuff coming out in the summer that I'm that interested in! Now to figure out how best to bulk buy white 1xX bricks, plates and tiles cheaply. I'm normally a Constraction builder with limited space so I don't really keep a stock of loose System parts. Sometimes I wish I did!

Of the 50 movie-related Iron Man suits (46 + 2 War Machines + Iron Patriot + Iron Legion), I was able to make 28 last night with only 1 LEGO part that wasn't "official" (I have a custom-printed-but-on-official-LEGO torso for Mark IV). I think I'll be able to get another 6-7 close enough to their movie counterparts before the need for some serious customization due to odd colors occurs.

A lot of them aren't 100% (or probably even 50%) accurate, but definitely close enough for me. I probably could've made Mark IV close enough too, but came across the custom printed torso a while back and decided to get it.

^ The blue creates a bit of a problem. But not too much since the Iron Legion helmet is blue. However, he's so oddly shaped compared to the rest that I may have to brick build him despite the fact that he's not all that much bigger than the others realistically. Bigger, but not Hulkbuster bigger. He's between 8-12'. Hulkbuster is 24'.

The highs and lows of LEGO parcels today. Sat in work and a box landed on my desk. Wasn't expecting the sets that quick as I only ordered mid week. Not an airbag in sight and perfect boxes still...

Got home to a flat jiffy bag.....

....ordered this to complete my Rebels Microfighter collection over three weeks ago. Nothing for 10 days so I started a non shipping report, got a one line response to say it had shipped. Week later it finally arrives post marked two days ago. The jiffy bag looked bad from the outside and as I opened it half the pieces poured out. Currently seeking a partial refund for a set that was listed as "NEW"

edit: just had a reply from the seller..

The item cost >£10 it really isn't worth your while

I really want the lego polybag #30607 but ebay prices are insane. Anyone ever pull a **** move by getting a set to get the free gift and then returning the set back to the store?

Maybe 'Babar', given the crushed state of the box.

Or maybe "lying little toad" On closer inspection the box was taped up at one end and more pieces poured out the rip as its already been built. I know its only a £10 BS order including P+P, but its the principle now. Its clearly not a "NEW" set

Quite Annoyed. None of my local RS Mcolls had none of the batman polys. Apparently they have been delivered yet
  • ^Same story in my area. I have three Martins/Mccolls in close proximity but only one of the three stores had received their quota.

Same story here - went to the McColls near my nan's and they hadn't got their delivery either.

This is gonna be a FUN promo
  • adiemcadiemc Member Posts: 592
The Martins near me did have them luckily. They did cut the voucher out of the paper as well.
  • Speedman29Speedman29 Member Posts: 2,315
Got two McColls near me. One had it in, the other said they'd had no delivery. It was the same story last time there was a newspaper giveaway from them.

Did however get to TrU to pick up the free take and build Batman car.

I bought a copy of the times. Not actually from a Martins or mcolls. Going to Bromley for a pokemon trading card event. Hoping there's a Martin or mcolls there. At least the times is an OK ish paper.

Good luck trying to find the polybag. They were sent out in the mail instead of coming around with the paper deliveries in the morning that would explain why they're late

Went back to the McColls and, surprise surprise, they'd got it in stock!

I may have to recreate a certain scene from the movie now... ;P

My Lego status is content. Finally sorted all loose pieces from a lot I bought last year and entered them all at ReBrickable. Right around 15,000 pcs. Now I need to decide what to do with these partial set's that never sold? Integrate them into the collective? Finish them? Now I need to merge my loose parts with these and get it all entered in the database.
