    @Bumblepants I didn't buy it in the end. Its missing the majority of the pieces and not on my list of stuff to pick up. I've probably got all the pieces as I think I had it as a child or one very similar.

    I may have to go back that way soon, so will see if its still there. Only slightly kicking myself, but I have spent a bit this month.

    Another hour and a half feeling through Batman Movie CMFs this morning and now I have the other 12 of the set to add to the 8 from yesterday. No duplicates either! I think the oddness and range of characters helps with the process.

    Still sorting my other sets though. that struggle continues.

    Found out about #41031 Andrea's Mountain Hut today. (It shares a part with sets I do have, coming up when I checked the BrickLink catalog)
    I like camping, and already have Adventure Camp and S16 Hiker. Likewise, there were some Friends music sets before Pop Star. I decided to collect non-Friends music as well. I had a spare S16 Serenader and added the following to my wantlist:

    #21306 Yellow Submarine (As a Beatles fan, I was already thinking of getting that)

    The #41105 stage is rather pop specific; I might MOC a simpler setup for the rockers. I could use some of the seating I already MOCed.

    @vizzitor
    many of us have limited space, thus more need to put sets away and get others out. I dust by vacuum, so I can't put sets away while other people are sleeping nearby.

    I like display and play more than building; some might totally disassemble for the fun of building again.

    I was very pleased to find baby's head. It had rolled away under the coats - real babies have been known to do the same thing, so it should have been an obvious place to look. Having rounded up the rest of the minifigs it seems there are various hairs and accessories missing. The minifigs are what my daughter plays with most so perhaps it's time to give up the obsession of making sure they have the correct hair piece and legs and what not. They are *whisper * toys to be played with after all !!

    TLG is really pushing TLBM. My local Auchan supermarket had 38 boxes of TLBM CMF's. That's probably more than they've had for all CMF series put together in the past...

    So I finally bit the bullet and bought both the Black Pearl #4184-1 and Queen Anne's Revenge #4195-1 from a single seller on Ebay. Used sets but prices way better then Bricklink. I had the Black Pearl when it was still being sold in my hand @ Target but did not buy it. I have regretted it ever since

    ^ I had it in my hand on the Black Friday it dropped to $79 and put it back. Let's just say I didn't pay $79 for it later.

    Regretting not buying sets when they were on sale or even when they were available sucks (but hey, who has all that disposable income??).

    My status? Well, although I kinda sorted a brand new and an already opened #10697, I still can't seem to find the 'right' pieces to finish my 8x32 modular. Does anyone go through the same thing? I find it extremely frustrating. Also, is it really that difficult to find a good number of pieces of a certain color for walls? That seems to be my biggest problem, and I have enough bricks but not the same color.

    @josekalel to make your own modular, you need an great amount of bricks. I've done 3 now, on 32*32 but making one on 48*48 ATM. Every time I am shocked by how quick you go through bricks, even though this time I had two #41101 sets as well.

    Internal and external walls, even if you use a lot of windows, it goes quickly. I have to say it can be frustrating but you can also look at it like a challenge, that you have to think outside of the box with what you have.

    For example, I didn't have enough medium lavender but needed some more detail on the side of my (stand alone) build. So on the bottom of the first floor you've got the purple line from the lift going through, whereas on the top of the first floor you've got this pattern with gold, purple, patterned white bricks, a line lower to make it nicer.

     Even the gold came extra cause I had enough purple 1*1 for one side, but obviously a building got the other one too... And since there is a lot of gold at the front, the sides and backs could use it too.


    Obviously, you do need a certain amount to start and sometimes you can't help but use a different colour and go onto bricklink and change it when you do have it. Good luck!

    I saw that on Brickset but ignored it, it seemed too duplicative of the CMF's and apparently it's rather expensive anyway.

    a lot of parts buckets don't have enough of the particular part you want - I was lucky enoguh to score 8 10697's (6 at a Walmart store Thanksgivign evening, 2 at Walmart.com on Cyber Monday)
    there are many big sets I wish I bought as a kid, I've gotten several modern large sets to avoid this in the future rather than let myself get screwed on the aftermarket for particular kits.

    Just make sure the larger place has a basement.  Spare bedrooms often turn into offices or nurseries, so don't fall for that ploy... or be prepared to move everything.

    The office if anything would be mine so house my gaming pc and setup. So a combination Lego room and office would be ideal!

    @snowhitie @KingAlanI Thanks for your input! Although it is a good challenge to not have enough of certain parts, it is still a bit frustrating. Plus, if you wanna buy bricks at PAB you end up with a big tab.

    Stuck in a hotel in darkest Wales. Luckily my job today took me within "a small detour" of the LEGO shop in Cardiff. Picked up the City Pizza truck to keep me busy and bought the valentines vignette as well. Trying to decide whether Mrs Speedman would like it on the 14th! Along with some flowers too obviously!

    that's how it usually works for me and I know what it is because I know what I ordered. but well, I rarely wait for more than 1 order at a time.

    Never sprung for online PaB wish I was closer to a LEGO stord so I could do PaB there more often. But that might not have what you're looking for.

    100% of my PaB orders are put in storage for the glorious day construction on our new house is finished and I will finally have my Lego room! We'll only move in towards the end of this year, but I'm already planning for that wonderful day :)
    Mostly ordering pieces for pavements, trees, benches and lampposts. Cannot have enough 2x2 tiles!

    I was able to get my "Wanted" list, on BL down to 7 items for Gare de Lyon. The automated selector still says it's going to cost me $80 for those parts, but I don't think that's gonna happen. I've spent wayyy to much on this already

    I currently have 4 BL orders, 2 deals/trades on the Marketplace here, and 2 [email protected] orders that are pending postage/on their way. Plus a PaB order I had apparently completely forgotten about.
    That's in addition to whatever else we order online.

    January started slow when it comes to Lego spending, and then kinda got completely out of control...

    that tool caused me to buy 200 spares in total on a 5400 piece project once... when you subtract a order off BL only applies the first lot when a item appears as multiple lot (like new and used mixed from same seller). at the beginning you don't notice it that much. only at the end when you have 30 extra plates or similar weirdnesses and get puzzled.

    This night, I mean last night, I saw Lego is having this incredible sale on their website, and I went totally nuts! I am still nuts...... really, it is incredible.
    50% discount on lots and lots of sets. I just had to order some. They are all on backorder, but I hope they will all get delivered in two weeks or so.

    I wasn't planning on buying all this, but it was just beyond my control. I bought more though.... at another online lego shop in NL (called: brickshop)

    I really am done, buying Lego, except I saw intertoys has a 15% discount on all Lego Batman Movie sets right now......
