That's a really good tool.  I hadn't realised it existed.

Here's mine.  Pretty consistent also.  Incredible.

While mine just seems to be increasing... I wonder how many sets we'll end up grabbing by the end of 2017, 200, 250....300 sets?

dont quite know what to make of my one.

as you can see it look's like 2015 was a better year for me :)
only about 1% of all that was 2nd hand when i got it. and most of them 2nd hands set's had part's missing. i know i only have 1 part from the 1976 set. but as it was the only time that part was used in any set. i know it from that set. :) so i marked it. (i also have a flag for marking a set with missing parts.)

I have 6 sets from 1976, while it was the year I was born, I suspect that it's because back then we were sometimes up to three or four years behind EU/US for toy releases (I know #6927 was released in 1981, but Myer still had them on shelves in 1985 because I got a second one for my birthday that year).

Ah the curse of us AFOLs without enough space for permanent display - disassembly of sets, I hate it. Exactly the opposite feeling to the joy of building.
I disassemble enough to pack more compactly rather separating every part.

Just opened a #41120 and the bag of tiny parts is missing. The regular size bag was there. I sent an email to LEGO customer service rather than do a regular replacement parts order for so many, but asked if I should do that anyway. The box didn't have instructions either, but I already have a copy, so I'm not concerned about that. I got it at a Target store.
I assume it's a packaging error rather than tampering. The box looked intact. All minidoll parts, the animal figurine and most of the other valuable pieces were still there.

@stlux I actually checked the site but hoped (ahem assumed) they might not coincide with the store content. I could go to Fun and get CMF for the same price I guess (assuming again, that they are out there already) but I got a Dreamland gift certificate so... :P

Thanks for the tip though, I'll check online first :) I think they are somewhat preparing as half of the LEGO shelves were empty...
Good news: Dreamland has the new City sets on their website, and says they will be available in store on Thursday 12 January. Fun has the new City, Technic and Creator sets listed, with a Jan 15 date. No new sets for other themes listed yet.
If you're really eager to see the new sets, including TLBM: both Intertoys and Bart Smit claim to have all new sets (144) available :)

So yay, Benelux is finally getting more than just the new SW, Nexo Knights and Friends sets!

Finally you managed to get a job completed without Health & Safety violations (at least from what's visible in the pictures...), but this time it's animal cruelty! ;)

Thats why TLG sell so many Technic sets, nobody wants to pull them to pieces to build the 'B' models. ;)

Did a bit of measuring up today. After TLG announced Assembly Square would be 48 studs wide I've been struggling to figure out how to fit it into my modular street table. The area I have is currently 4x2.5 (2x32 basplates) (two rows of 4 32x32 and a row of 16x32 at the front.

I'd either have to lose one of the three buildings at the back or go bigger!

Got MDF sheet cut 16 studs wider so I can fit the new building across the back. The road plates currently go along the middle and curve 90º towards the back, not sure how to deal with this as theres a MOC cafe on that corner that needs the curve to fit in!

I think I'll have to pull everything part and lay it out to see what looks best.

@xwingpilot What Vader TIE is that?

@Legoboy DAFUQ did you do, son?

@Jola What is supporting those shelves? I don't see brackets.

My LEGO status is my youngest starts his special school tomorrow after a close to three week break. While I need to try to refocus myself on some work, there are appointments scheduled every single day except Thursday, which disrupt daily flow. On the LEGO front, I really, REALLY gotta get a plan together for a dedicated build space and sorting plan. It's getting out of hand.

I'm not sure there were any in particular, not once I'd got the handle of it and had learnt the different techniques to remove the wide variety of parts, but it was just the constant picking and pinching.

Really sore forefinger and thumb pads.  Not quite as bad as my pic suggests, but I do actually have pretty large blood blisters.

Still waiting on a PAB order from November 27th.  According to the order status Lego are waiting on new stock of White 1x8 Flat Tiles.  So why does it not show up as out of stock if I start a new PAB order?

    USELESS!!!
I bought 3 books online as all 3 showed 'In stock and available to ship'. then later I got an email saying "Items out of stock, please wait 3-4 weeks for delivery".

Well why didn't they put that on the item page then? Grrrrr

Probably too much Lego in my house.

(For those with Waldo or Eagle eyes find the following: A) Unboxed Pet Shop; B) Unboxed Palace Cinema; C) Unboxed Town Hall; D) Four sets of Batman CMFs; E) Every SW polybag except a few stragglers.

It's weird that the Lego Figure has a real paintbrush, yes?

I'll be "fixing" the 16 studs discrepancy by adding only half of the 2nd Pet Shop I got a few months back (the mirrored apartment building).

Not that I have a place to display the modulars like you do... but that's a different problem :-)

^ Or maybe a half modular? To put there to make up for size discrepancy? The apartment is one such building, or you could make a half modular corner building! :)

Yeah. As you can see I like to display sets (and minifigures) on bases. The base for #75082 is just an oversized version of my standard Microfighter base with a CMF stand on the front for The Inquisitor.

#75094 doesn't have a base because it wouldn't fit on the shelf in flight configuration. Fortunately that set looks great in landing configuration.

My spread is a bit irregular to say the least.

Most of the old sets were bought within past 3 years.

Below chart shows the piece count from each year, number is higher than expected as some sets I've bought duplicates.

Finally! I am up to date on the forum threads I look at. Which is most of them. I had to go back to page 7 on the 'all discussions' view before I got to posts I'd already seen! That'll teach me for being ill and having house guests. :-)

I'm quite relieved that my numbers per year are a lot lower than some of the posts above, which means I can use these to show the girlfriend it's really not that bad!

Just received #40206 which was ordered-backordered on sale. In a huge box with DHL REPACKED tape. Yep, you guessed it, fully beaten up box inside.

Well done DHL, mashing up a parcel with origin (Lego/K+N warehouse) and destination (my house) only 36km apart.

    status,
looking at my back log stack.
from bottom to top it look like this

    #75059 , #10251 , #10243 , #70732 , #70323 , #10695 , and "opened and reused #10695 box's" as places to keep polybags.
off to one side i have 16 smaller set's the biggest of which is #60081,
did quite a bit of building from December 1st, thru Christmas and up to the 6th of January, (what i call Christmas time), off the top of my head i recall building more than 15 set's. could well have been more.
it's left me with small "baby size" set's, 2 small "toddler size" set's, 4 Big "daddy size" set's and 1 Mega "big daddy size" set. unopened and waiting in my backlog.
(please note that the baby, toddler and so on, size. is about the "size" of said box, not the age group the set is targeted at.)

oh... and i have no idea what to build next.

Puts out all parts required to motorize #21303 WALL-E. Never having used Power Functions before, realizes 9 AAA batteries are required (battery box: 6, remote control: 3). AAA batteries available at home: 2.
