My BL store has been fairly slow, so I'm catching up on some non-LEGO stuff, mainly watching library DVDs. I work at a library, so it's almost too easy to get stuff that way. I may even wait for Rogue One.
Tonight I was paid for 1 S16 Babysitter. I've sold a few of those lately, so I'll feel for that next time I get a chance. Banana and Penguin aren't selling, same goes for S15 Shark, so I'll cut price and not get more.
I used PayPal to print labels for Christmas gifts, so ingrained and so cheap. https://www.paypal.com/shipnow works for a package not associated with a PP payment, thanks to whoever pointed that out in a BL thread.

Just ordered #10251 Brick Bank to take advantage of the double VIPs offer :-)  Hope I get it before Christmas!

I've been building some houses this last week or so. For one I used some old 1970s bits I inherited from my older cousins.

So do I class it as 'retro' or 'vintage'?

Wait until they have left store shelves for at least 5-6 months if you want to really make money. I say this as someone who made a fair number of 'sell way too soon' blunders when I started out reselling.

Just been checking the christmas present stash to make sure we haven't forgotten anything or anyone. Realisation just hit me this is the first year in 9 that there won't be any LEGO under the tree or in a stocking. Not a single set appeared on either of my kids Christmas lists. #endofanera?

And yet they are getting Mega Bloks? Have they been naughty this year or something?

@cheshirecat kids eh? What will we do with them? My girl is only interested in my little ponies and pokemon this year! Shocking. Just shocking. (I have got some for her stocking though).

Yes - so it was either mega bloks or a lump of coal. (PS, I believe they are in the country now!)

Back home from a second week in Wales for work. Tired, but happy that I'm finished until 2017 now. Nearly three weeks off, lazing around. Got a few days next week where my daughter is at school and Mrs Speedman29 is at work. Shall be putting some DVDs on and building up the SW sets I've bought recently, whilst drinking coffee and eating mincepies!

Also, got back into the office late today to find my second Secret Santa gift of the year has appeared, this one is just between myself and a work colleague.....and it has to be LEGO!

Computer glitches. I got the TFA spoiled one day ahead of time last year, so I'm lucky to doge any spoilers this year (so far).

I was wondering because I do not know how anyone could subject themselves to any of Episodes 1-3 once, no less twice...in a row ;)

What I don't understand how anyone can subject themselves to The Empire Strikes Back, even once.

After Hoth, it's all downhill from there...

Here's the bit of our tree that I could easily snap with the camera on my laptop - the house is gradually getting Christmassy, and unless I've badly misjudged how good anyone has been this year, Santa should be leaving some Lego under it soon...

Last night I used some Avengers tote bags (early Christmas pressie from a friend) to finally organise the stash of unbuilt sets in my wardrobe... now there's seven words early 2016 me never thought she'd type!!

@JooTog I don't have any close ups of the logo, but I'll try to go back next week and take some! Is this to see the building method used?

Pretty much. It kind of looks to me like a sticker from that angle.
I'm just curious; it's not like I'm going to build anything remotely similar to that beauty, but might do the logo ;-)

You're welcome @thebeermonkey. Makes me want to build mine, but still assisting Santa Claus. Maybe over the holidays.

It's a balance between waiting for a good deal and not having too much tied up in inventory; I'm leaning towards the latter.

Didn't see anything in Target - figured I'd probably be buying online, but I was there anyway. I like telling people that Target will price match their own website amongst other places. Saw a guy I knew from high school. He never got out of LEGO but complained about the cost of modern stuff. I had an out of town job summer 2011 and didn't bring my LEGO. I blamed that for my dark age, which is part of it.

Lol quite possibly. It was more of a replacing the silver one from the Constitution with a gold piece to match the train theme

Just found out that the Holiday Train is too tall for the current train station. The smoke stack and Santa didn't make it the rest of the way.

There is a really annoying song on you tube. I have recreated it in duplo. Can anyone tell what it is...?

I always try to resize pictures prior to posting them on the forum, so I had another look at the original high-res pictures I took. Confirmation it is a sticker indeed:

I found that out the hard way when buildings track to go under the couch. And then moving it to go under the coffee table. And then the chair.

I have rebuilt parts of it no less than 10 times now.

Building #10229 Winter Village Cottage for the first time- a really fund build, glad I bought it (but tempting me to get the Post Office or the Bakery now too;) ).

Son is making #66547 Axl's Tower Carrier and we are listening to Stephen Fry reading 'A boy called Christmas' by Mat Haig, seems to be quite a good book. Love this time of year.

^ Wizard of Oz? Isn't that one kinda breaking the trend?
At least the wikipedia page for Bridget Jone's Diary has the word "Christmas" on it...

    Stalk over. :)
