Headed to Brickworld Tampa today. Unfortunately, at Brickworld Dagobah, an X-Wing completely disappeared from the parking lot last year, so they canceled the event going forward. Instead, I have to travel all the way to Tampa.

Despite what I said here a year ago, I have to concede (having now ordered two exclusive PT minifigures), that my OT collection (which already contains Rebels and Battlefront sets) is no-longer an OT collection. Even more so when I add the Rogue One Y-wing.

@MaffyD It seems you were right. I hate that BTW ;)
Sorry. :-) I've got to admit, I'm tempted by some of the R1 sets as well. Maybe I'll end up regretting being so picky right now, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it! At the end of the day, it's all Lego, so it's all good really! :-)

If it makes you feel any better, my MIL bought me #7113 one year. I think it's still kicking around the house somewhere, taunting me with its continued existence...

Spent $21.48 (free shipping on orders over $19!) at TRU.com on LEGO Dimension funpacks: Marceline, Cyborg (the Boy LOVES his teen Titans), and E.T.

Even got 3% cash back from Ebates! :D

It seems the local thrift store never gets the wings for the jet in #3182 Airport or #60022 Cargo Terminal, so I just placed my very first Bricklink order.

Now I have to start figuring out where I'm going to put 4 of these planes...

Been deciding which Lego sets my son will get for Sinterklaas/birthday/Christmas, all in December. This year no need to go out and buy something since I've got boxes of the stuff ready, quite frightening when you get it all out of the cupboard.

Luckily my husband knows about all the purchases and doesn't mind :)

The real problem is finding a time when your son definitely won't be home to get them out and hide them...

Got quite a nice dilemma to deal with. Did a load of photos for the company website recently and they've given me some Amazon vouchers as a thank you. Now I was going to put them towards the Technic Claas tractor as my Christmas present to me.....until Mrs Speedman said that mini speed wants to get it for Daddy for Christmas! Need to decide what to treat myself to now. Budget including the vouchers was going to be the £90 they currently have the tractor going for. Suggestions please! I'm leaning towards #75157 from SW Rebels atm.

@Speedman29, #75153 is one of my LEGO gifts from my Wife and Son for Christmas.... I'm so cuckoo from waiting for it that I'm gonna say you should buy three of them... at least that's what I would do for mySELF if I could open & build them right now! :D

Lol, but really, your choice looks like a GREAT build.

At Brickworld this weekend, saw one on the top shelf of a vendor's booth. Could have sworn the sticker said $40. I nearly yelled "I'll take it!" She got it down and it said $140. She wasn't happy when I told her she could put it back.

I still kick myself for not buying that at retail. I hadn't "committed" to collecting the Superheroes sets yet. Oh, four years ago Yodalicious, you naive little scamp.

Got one last year for $50. Not too bad I guess.

I've had similar happen to me, too.
"$27 for a Deep Freeze Defender!?!"
*Vendor slides another box out of the way*
"Oh... $270 for a Deep Freeze Defender..."

I wasn't into SH at all back when this set came out, but I almost bought the set for the nice helicopter and, as I called him then, "cool red ninja". Never got it. Now I like both Wolverine and Deadpool...

A bit sad that the LEGO calendar for next year won't have coupons:

Sorce is from The Brick Fan

Spent over an hour in the Target LEGO section again. I'm beginning to think I like chasing deals as well as the actual value of the deal. This goes for various stores and products.

I don't think that's the actual voucher-containing calendar, but just an extra gift? At least, if I look at this page: http://www.lcc.builders/2016/11/05/lego-wall-calendar-2017/ that tells a whole different story... (and another image)

^ for those curious, according to the above article you get 13 vouchers for presents ranging from a sticker sheet/poster to poly and something on your birthday.

I do appreciate they try to get people in store but for those with limited mobility or those who live far from one it's always a bit more difficult to take part.

Trying super hard to not buy Lego I only kind of want just because it is on sale and wait for next year's stuff I really want instead. Leaked images save me a lot of money as they help me be patient.

I have 5 stickers to get the 2017 calendar thanks to my visit to 4 London Lego stores last week (are you limited to 1 or can you get more?). Now need to find a way/excuse to get to the Saarbrücken/Wijnegem store to collect one. Would almost be easier/quicker to fly to London again and take the DLR to the Stratford store...

To sum up and clarify everything about the calendars @sid3windr and @snowhitie, there are two different calendars made for a promotion, the U.S. Edition and the Europe edition. The picture that I put is the U.S. Edition ( which is where I live,) and the link: http://www.lcc.builders/2016/11/05/lego-wall-calendar-2017/    is the Europe edition. As you can see, each are completely different.

But for my LEGO status, I have been scrolling through every website too find some Black Friday deals, including LEGO's. Hopefully, I can get them in time before anyone else does.
  • sid3windrsid3windr Member Posts: 1,460
Ah - I assumed the US would get the same kind of calendar as the EU. Thanks!

Currently wondering the same as @stlux - I have managed to collect 3 stickers, so kind of hoping they won't mind giving me 3 calendars...

AT-ATs don't play well with their little cousins.
Really, though, AT-APs do not like heights, and aren't very stable. Life lesson learned.

After spotting the MIB Santa's Workshop in our toy room, my little girl kept pestering me to fix up the reindeer for her, so I used the loose bricks to build a pinkish version. Then she complained it had no eyes!

Needless to say, I had to rip open the set and dig out just the parts to build below, obviously I've chosen the smaller reindeer model in the set, though still surprised that the few parts needed had to be taken out from 4 individual bags!

Guess I'll have to proceed with fixing up rest of the set, probably within these few days.

Just finished building my first of (hopefully) many UCS sets!

The UCS looks massive next to the original 2000 Slave 1!
