turn's out the main power line for the road was slowly dying.
the power man who had been up the tall ass poll use a lot of tech words that i dont remember now, but it come down to one of the 3 power flows in the main line for the road (the one we was linked up to) had turn to mettle powder from trees rubbing on the line. and when the power drain from 1 house got to high any house who was past that point on the line would lost power. also when a tree pulled on the power line. that would brake the flow as well. well that's what i got out of all the techno babel the power Guy told me. what it come down to was "bad line" = "no power!"
Anyway, just as "torch" has a particular sort of meaning over there, unless you're interested in history, "dungeon" is likely summon images of a different scenario over here - and possibly certain politicians (like 250 of them in one famous case)!
Oh! The days when political scandals were fun!
You couldn't make it up - and that was only the tip of the iceberg.
@Adzbadboy Good luck with the job-application! We all know how passionate you are about Lego so if you need some referrals, give us a shout.
Should thank my Brickset secret Santa @???? again for that board though, I would never have thought of buying that and it's already been used to celebrate 6 different occasions, so it's getting well used and a lot of fun.
You mentioned a dungeon. They are tangentially related to dominatrix style fetishes. Or so I hear! That's it really. I need very little excuse for a tenuous joke... :-)
He's a chemist (and crystallographer hence the crystals) and is going to check out testing and legal requirements for new food products (I'm not a chemist so I don't understand more than that).
The cup and croissant are just his sustenance.
I suppose he's the kind of scientist that finds traces of peanut butter in dinosaur bones? ;)
Sounds like a perfect name for it.
Used the new [email protected] site with its £10 voucher combined with my VIP points to complete my Scooby Doo collection. #75904 should be winging its way to me as sson as its back in stock. I plan to build it on a 32x32 or 48x48 and add a spooky fence and garden to it, then the Mystery Machine can park outside with the plane flying overhead. The Mummy scene will be built in somewhere. Leaving the lighthouse on the edge of my Modular street in the harbour.
Status part two:
A few weeks ago a friend of ours said she'd won "some" minifigure in a competition from America....The SDCC exclusive Atom Man has just arrived, she's taunting me with opening it and giving it to her 6yr old LEGO mad son! I've asked to be able to "just look at it in the package once" before he tears it open and adds it to his collection!
I'm an addict. Unfortunately this forum is not exactly the best in helping with this particular addiction.... Well, at least I know I'm not alone with this particular luxery problem :p
What other habit gives you a rush at the beginning with just small amounts, leaves you wanting, no needing more as time goes on and ends up with you buying huge volumes, spending hundreds a month.
Er, nothing I can think of! Nope! No, siree!
Might need to try the other approach. It's my wife's birthday next week; maybe I already give her one of her presents?
i was ordered to get gift's for a boy who is 8? 9? around that age birthday this month.
after speaking to his mum. found out he was after lego Age of Ultron set's,
after looking on amazon i picked out #76038 and #76029 for him.
i love to buy stuff. more so when it not my money i am spending. :p
i hope he likes my picks. i was limited by what i could get him by amazon stock levels!
My wife likes Lego and has some sets herself, but The Simpsons is not something she likes. Would be a very selfish present to give ;)
i now have 1,000 like's.
i joined the forum on the 30th of September 2015.
so i got 1,000 like's in just under 1 year. with 20 days to spare.
next mile stone is the 2,000 post's.
@snowhitie I use solid rectangles or somesuch in Paint to edit an image before uploading. You on your phone?
Got my BrickLink order - fast, cheap, good. :)
Also, on a side note, I just found out I have more likes than posts...
