Sharquaman...
And there was much glee when the Penguin took things literally.
"Dad - it's the Penguin as a penguin."
Couldn't resist too many things Lego (and one infamous Lepin GG) in recent weeks, so feeling a bit "stuffed" right now. (No related bowel movements though, thankfully).
Yesterday I was at our local Lego store with the wife and kids for the September monthly Mini-build as well as our first buy of CMF 16 figs. Must commend my wife on her ability too feel out figures, as she got four out of five right without ever having had any experience with this before. (Ice Queen, Wildlife Photographer, Mariachi, Babysitter. Spooky boy was the only "failure"). Also got us a few more Series 8 Mixels before they sell out.
Today, the Kwik-E-Mart I ordered from TRU a month ago finally arrived, plus a bargain LL924 via ebay. And a Bricklink haul with some more MISB sets at bargain prices is on the way (7958, 8639, 10223, 8075 plus some Simpsons CMFs and a few Polybags). Lastly, two Pick-a-brick and Bricks&Pieces orders are also on their way.
Add to that the fact that several other MISB sets are waiting to be built (Technic sets mainly), I think you get my drift that my Lego status today can be described as
"Oooff. Need to get a life"
;-))
my finger is back to 94%
i can bend it.
i can pick stuff up with it (+ thumb's help)
i can pinch thumb and finger.
i can just about make a fist.
still can not touch the tip of the finger to the base of the finger or the parm.
but i can get to 3 mm away from it.
so apart from my old headphones dying on me. and having to buy new ones.
(some think called "Metro Bluetooth Headphones" that can be wired and wireless.)
i am in a good mood. i think i will give my finger 24 or so more house then i can relax and use it can with out me thinking it going to backside and F-up again.
Following a successful Ninjango Temple purchase at Smyths for £116, I managed to get a Sand Crawler at TRU for £200.
When the box came out it had a large cut / rip / tear in one side - a bit of a chat to the nice lady behind the customer service desk and she took 10% off the purchase price to bring the cost down to £180!
With some finger crossing this evening, the seals were cut to find all the bags present and correct, happy days :-) I almost can't wait for Winter...
"Why is your thumb on my steak?"
"So it didn't fall on the floor again."
Genius.
And before you ask, the colonoscopy was also free of any branded plastic bricks. And that's a definite, because I couldn't drag my eyes off the monitor as it was being done! Yes, I'm aware that the consultant had 'access' earlier this week, but believe me when I say that it wouldn't still be up there by now!
Spent some of the day at Legoland Discovery Center Michigan today :)

Good luck to anyone having to deal with hurricane Hermine (who comes up with these names?) Couldn't imagine what it's like.
@SamJ for the last I thought the storm was called Hurricane Hermes.
:-P ;-)
I'm actually wondering what to do with the Ferris Wheel, long-term, as it has a significant footprint and takes up a quarter of one of the desks... I'm definitely not going to do anything drastic for a while, as it's one of those sets that I really don't fancy dismantling, plus it's a great display piece, of course.
I often partially disable sets for compactness in storage.
It's often hard to determine color in LEGO instruction books.
Then, what do you have to cover schoolbooks and you only have boring green thin present-Wrapping paper and the shops are shut because you did too many fun Lego related things as stated above?
You use Lego-stickers to let your son decorate his books towards his own taste and cover it with sticky film to improve stability....
This looks to be set 10213, when I bought mine last year, the seller included the service pack, not sure yours have or not.
This should help. Not sure it explains the jump in age but certainly the piece count. :)

just hoping. that the Argos order i placed dose not get Canceled on me.
Ooo! I gotta go catch the red dot on the wall.
Meanwhile I'm looking forward to being able to build one of my Elves sets soon!! Just need to be able to sit up for long enough to do so lol.
Apart from that I'm working on an article for Awesomest Lego. Gotta keep busy some how lol.
Hope everyone else is doing well, I'm doing the rounds of paracetamol, codeine, and Oxycodone myself :S
With all due respect, please lose my invitation to your club. And I definitely don't want to be a VIP, no double-points and no free give-aways.
(However, I will wish you the speediest recovery!)
