oh so you may see that killer deal on say GG, or CC, but, the stress for dealing with being out bid in the last moments, or the seller pulling out after the end of the sale. OR it being a out right con.
stress is bad for me. very bad.
so i just don't use e-bay.
This is a bit of a delayed status - went to Prague this week for our wedding anniversary and while there managed to have a look round the Lego Museum.
They have a nice display of sets from throughout the years , although some of the builds could do with a bit of TLC (After building #10143, seeing the set not looking like it should was quite a shame).
I do wonder if it was because most of the staff there were of a younger generation and didn't have an appreciation of what they were working with or it's value.
They do still have a boxed #10179 (and many other MISB retired sets) for sale if you want a one stop retired set shopping spree and don't care about the price, as most of the sets there are available on Bricklink Cheaper than what was being asked.
I have set up a flickr page for anyone wanting to have a look.

Also, bumbling idiot question, could anyone could let me know how to put a link up without a mile long address coming up? I would be very grateful.
Let's just say that Bionicle canisters are quite large...
but i have no idea what to build.
i have lot's to build. over 40 sets.
going in size from a minifig poly-bag (Winter Soldier), passing 16 lego dimensions set's, all the way up to #10243.
i think i find it harder to pick what to build, then i do what to buy.
main point is, that until some point in September. as i have to pay back the bank of mum and dad "mostly mum". so therefor my lego buying is limited so i need to make what i do have to build last.
i could go on a Building frenzy. but then i would have weeks of no new stuff to build.
and as i find lego a grate way to keep my stress levels down. that would be bad.
so in the end the ultimate question is "what to build."
i to would love that job.
the question is how long before you got burnout.
I really don't know why they just couldn't put that in the T&C's in the first place. As long as I'm not issued an expired voucher (the voucher is supposedly valid for 10 days) I suppose I'm fine with waiting, I've spent way too much this week as it is. I just wish they could be more upfront about how long you have to wait for it!
(I was also supposed to have a record of the live chat sent to my email, guess what, eBay didn't send one! Jeez, if I could get everything I buy outside of eBay I'd happily ditch it but as I also buy very specialised stuff and out of print trading cards, eBay is often my best option for it)
Why do so many BrickLink sellers have to have such convoluted T&Cs/fee structures!?! Going to check BrickOwl at this rate...
Store Policy:
It's only $1.00 for each time I have to bend at the hips, $0.75 for arm stretches and $0.50 for each time I scratch my head because I can't find the piece, and a $6.00 surcharge for any package taller than a dung beedle, but shorter than an Alaskan blue crab, plus shipping. Unless you are more attractive than a Portuguese mongoose. In that case, the shipping is free in the continuous provinces of Canada. Except in New Brunswick, because they are pompous jerks.
Minimum order is $18.00, unless you are buying minifigures, where you much buy three minifigures, or one more than as many as you actually want.
If you're lucky, I'll cancel the one part you were actually looking for.
Thanks for buying!
And I will ignore your first message after the order has been placed.
Thanks for the explanation. I opened some S15 for identification, but did it differently, so I hadn't recognized your work. (I made a more obvious cut in the CMF bag and put everything into a small ziploc bag labeled in sharpie)
Yeah, I wasn't aware of discount LEGO as a kid the way I am now. (When I refer to set value I use MSRP) I bought a couple Nexo Knights Ultimates, but to get parts for a MOC (Bricklinking the rest) and to make a couple online orders large enough for free shipping.
I noticed a building error on one of my displayed sets and then noticed I'd put a photo of the set on Flickr without noticing!
That's really going to niggle...
(It's actually an image I've embedded in a comment on here too. 10 points if you can spot it.)
Some sellers make it so damn hard...
i also moved some stuff i had to move some months back so the water system could be fixed. that stuff is now moved in to there new home. and away from my build table. after taking up space on there for quite some time.
now the only type of stuff left on my build table is other lego set's in storing box's.
just need to work out how to display them. and my room will be all of the good.
You weren't supposed to find other mistakes!
get you self a nice cold glass of milk. that will do the trick. you can not go wrong with milk.
nope you just need.
lactose free milk.
my mum is lactose intolerant. and she has the items in the image.
and she is all good :)
so i stick by my words "you can not go wrong with milk."
a jumbo mug.
but still looks like tea.
now, that mug full of milk, on the other hand. :P
ps. think i need to sleep. so nap time for little old me. have fun.
And yes, for those in the US (and perhaps other locales) - Happy Memorial Day.
(Kidding!)
Was also preparing to build The Big Bang Theory I bought for £15 from Tesco, thanks to the last Double Points event. :)
I honestly couldn't believe it wasn't parody.
The perfect bound book is not perfect, the cover is badly cut.
Also two lipstick/markers have been omitted, but replaced with two silver cones.
Fortunately this was a spare BBT and I also have spare lipsticks from my Friends sets.
