^ Given the problems other people had with the eBay coupon as well I appear to have been rather lucky!

My bricklink order arrived today to complete the pieces I was missing from the Helms Deep set I received from eBay last week.  Except dumbo here forgot to order one black 1 by 3 and I can't find a spare anywhere!

Wonder if it's still at the regular retail price?

*flops on to bed with laptop on his lap.*
and done. the main build is done. my pet shop MOC only needs little details for the room's. sub-build or mini build i think lego call them. like the shop displays in #71016
that type of little stuff. but the building it self is done. and it looks good. still feel's like the pet shop. but i added my own feel to it. as well as having worked out my own little history for the building. hehe.

got a surprising number of 1x6, 1x4, 1x2 and 1x1 Sand Blue Bricks left over.
enough to use in the Deli corner MOC i have planned. for when i can Buy 3 set's on a 3 for 2 offer.

for now i need to let the ideas for the (let's call them sub-builds.) run around my head for a bit. work out how i wish to use the space.

left from the modular Building theme sets i own i have the 1 town house from #10218 to build as well as #10243 after i have got them finished, i will have built 7 modular building set's
3 of #10218, 3 of #10232 and 1 of #10243. i still plan on getting DO and BB, later this year. i am looking forward to seeing the finished street. when i can link up all the buildings and display them.
who knows maybe building #10243 for the 1st time will give me ideas i can use in my pet shop Moc. for now time to rest. MOC-ing is hard work. takes up more of my limited energy to do a MOC then is dose for a normal lego build.

I have never taken the ring out of the head of the minifigs, but I have taken the rest of the keyring off by pulling the next link open with pliers.

I'm looking at a YouTube video of a guy heating the chain with a candle and then pulling. Not sure. Worth the risk? It won't fit in display with chain.

my status today is spending money on Lego Dimensions.

at this point i have as some members like to say pulled the trigger on 6 set's on amazon 3 for 2 offer.
this will get my Lego Dimensions set number to 26 set's out of 37.

do any other forum members have this many Lego Dimensions set's? or even plan to get all of them. it is like £704.63 RRP for all of it. (not counting the Game Pack.)
with Tesco's and Amazon 3 for 2 offer and the crazy price Tesco had on them (£5) i got £179.88 worth. (that's 12 fun packs.) for £56.35.

Dimensions is what pulled me out of my Dark Age's. so i got a lot of the Dimensions wave one pack's at full price. before i started to hunt for good deals on lego.
now i have a better feel for good deals and ok deals. i think i not done to bad.

i still have 7 fun pack's to get, (three of them are the 3 in wave 5.) 2 level packs. and 2 teem packs. so £224.89 RRP, winder what i will end up paying in the end.

BrickBank was completed over the weekend. The old building site MOC has been removed and the new modular installed. I've extended the pavements out six studs to cover the edge of the road plates. My mini street is finished, I just need to figure out a few finer details on the pavements.

My plan is to keep an eye on the new modulars and swap these three around to suit.

this will get my Lego Dimensions set number to 26 set's out of 37.

There are only 34 sets out, right? (Not counting the Starter Packs)
As far as I know three sets will be released on May 10: #71239, #17240 and #71241.

I have the 34 sets I know are released. Still looking for a nice way to display them.

Oh, and yes, I am planning on getting them all :)

Finally started sorting through my parts boxes for part 2 of my UCS bricklinking builds. Makes me realise how easy set building is with numbered bags and how dedicated MOC builders are, coming up up with fantastic builds from scratch.
I know the parts I want and it still takes me ages to find all the bits.

Scouting out the Dr Who set and was wondering why Dave Tennant and his cool sideburns didn't make the set but the pee wee Herman doctor with his goofy bowties did. Sigh.....

Yeah that did kind of suck.  I wish they had all of the doctors in the set.  Or at least the fourth doctor and the tenth.

I'll just let Deathstroke the Terminator be the Doctor at my house ... at least until Jason Statham or Jax from Sons of Anarchy defies all logic and becomes the 13th Doc (yea right!).

Put down regular plates to connect my road baseplates.

Checked the toy aisle at Wegmans, CMF 15 case had a couple dozen left. Got 2 Shark Suit Guy and a Frightening Knight. Excited because my feel tests were accurate, I wanted a Knight for myself (better than ordering one), and because there were Sharks left (highest resale value).

Found out we will not, in fact, have to spend the earth on household repairs! Tentatively, quietly celebrating by considering what Lego to buy next. Not getting carried away, definitely not getting carried away...

    *watch's @catwrangler gets carried away*
if you like me, then you have money, that is not needed for day to day life, that will sit there, and not do anything but burn a hole in your pocket. then you will feel a need to spend it.
this need will grow with everyday that it sit there, not doing anything.
it will be just a mater of time before you cave in. and you have lots of shiny new lego to play.... sorry work with.

I bought a job lot today. Someone was selling their 18 y/o son's collection. I paid full price... Fast forward several hours, and they are trying to buy them back from me for over three times what I paid for the lot. Anybody else had this happen?
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
^Sellers remorse ;)  The parents probably didn't think he wanted them and he freaked out and now they want to buy them back.
