Oh, and I bought my own birthday present too. Guess who's building Giant Man this weekend :)
That Harry Potter in the Ewok Village reminds me of the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man in Manhattan.
Brickset is the best, it's community spirit rocks. Your friend is awesome, that's some brilliant work. Great LEGO is for sharing.
I've said it before, Huw and team have created something special here and everybody that participates in the community knows it. People make time for one another, help each other out and are there for one another in so many ways. It's inspiring and so much more.
And it's as if Harry is saying, some friends for Hedwig :o) Cool!
My LEGO status today is always proud to be a tiny wee brick in this big hearted community and thankful to everybody who makes this community so great! So many I could namecheck, but you all know who you are. :o)
Just on time to have a fruitful LEGO weekend!

I need to save up for the Ghost Busters HQ.
And these guys just arrived in time to join the festivities!
Right party animals we are.
PS it does include my son's sets, we share :)
I would try counting up my bulk parts from job lots, but that would take too long.
The more the merrier (and please bring polybags instead of bottles of wine with you, I'm still on a lot of pain meds so can't drink that much). And if it wasn't for my Brickset buddy's I would never be able to achieve these life-goals, you give me the strength to carry on! Thanks for the encouraging message @Venunder !
Also, I'm hoping that in another day or two my Palace Cinema will come. I'm going to save building it until after a big personal admin project is finished, but it'll be so nice just to know I have it. :)
As of now I have about 748K parts from official sets, and 20K loose/PAB. I'm wondering when I'll be able to reach the 1 million bricks milestone, probably will take another 2 to 3 years at least.
I'm rather charmed by the little house and the Chicken Suit Guy, too! He'll join last year's Lego bunny, which I picked up last week, in our Easter decorations.
i now have all the parts needed to build the MOC i have planned.
it name is still up in the air right now.
but i will give it a name at some point.
i finished the Palace Cinema normal build. it is a stunning model.
wish i could keep it as is. but for many reasons that can not be.
one of the biggest of them reasons is that i do not wish to have a carbon copy, Modular Buildings street that everyone has. i wish to give it the chrisalddin makeover.
so that is is unique to me. and i can be extra proud of myself.
after all that is what makes the Modular Buildings so appealing.
if you have not done so. look up the Instructions for Cafe Corner book 2.
at the back of the book it show's the Idea and the feel Lego was aiming for with this theme.
and you can see this idea and feel in all the Modular Buildings made by lego.
that about 4400 pieces.
took me about 6 hours to do.
it is all in food tubs now, and in an order i hope will make it easy to find what i need.
next is the long build.
oh and i have tubs of lego all over my room. lol
and at 5.30pm to add to my stress the blow heater i was using so my room is not an Ice chamber. Died. as some of you know our water boiler packed up last Monday, new one being fitted this coming Monday. so the house's heating is out.
the only way to heat a room is by hot Air blower. so with mum's say so, jumped on Argos, and looked up a blow heater, and placed a order for it got it 8pm order placed at about 6pm. 2 hours. that a good service from Argos there.
and cheaper then getting a taxi to the Argos store and back.
I never knew this set existed, and even though I have no train in my layout I WANT IT!!!!
But it's going for €200 and I just can't justify it....I might Bricklink a smaller version tho....hmm there's another project for the list.
Oh, and I got animal control lady (or whatever she's called) CMF today - so yeah, happy bout that!
The maternity bag is packed and we are (almost) ready to go. Just waiting on one wee thing. Hopefully, it shouldn't be long until we add a very exclusive mini minifigure to the collection.
I'm also packing my maternity bags today, must remember my minifigure friend and polybag :)
Many thanks. Hope everything goes smoothly for your little arrival too.
Don't worry about the duplo, afterwards you can use it to fill up mountains or rooftops!
And in a couple of years you can play together and people will buy Lego for your kid that you get to play with too!
Actually a bit miffed, I'd planned to build this weekend (with my recently acquired sets that contributed to the 2K party) but I really could not sit up still although my spinal surgery is been over for a month and a half. Apparently I've got a spinal fluid leak so no more getting up. Still hoping my body can heal it itself otherwise it's a lumbar blood patch and that doesn't sound fun. Sorry- doing want to turn this place into a complain about your medical problems thing, but I needed a whine ;)
@snowhitie Best wishes on your recovery! With 500 likes your obviously passing on more happiness than complaints. Good to share both good and bad in the community.
