Really kinda shocking(to me anyways) that there hasn't been a yoga instructor or guru mini'd yet.
I don't know, all of the female minifigures in my city will end up wearing yoga pants ;)

Biker Bob wouldn't mind.  So long as they say 'juicy' across the back.

Do you just place the modular building baseplates on top of the road plates, or do you join them somehow?

from the look of the image i would say placed.
the gap is not the high if 1 plate. but it is the high of a open stud.
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
Yeah, placed on top because I need to be able to move the buildings around. I am not ready to commit to building the Modulars right onto the plates.

    Afraid to commit?

Also, don't forget the meticulous stud counting involved to make sure everything lines up correctly.  And the ridiculous cost of straight road baseplates...

(Notice on the corner - no gap between the curb and plate.)

Got out my original Alpha Team sets. The moving parts still work and the models are still fun. That's a great thing about LEGO, it holds up both physically and mentally.
I have all of them except for #6776, another big set I missed, and price on that has stayed reasonable.

Might get Monster Rocker from CMF 14 for guitar piece in particular and a minifigure in general.
Finish #41105 and customize it. Hopefully #41103 and #41117 come today to go with it.

Tired but happy, after our Fairy Friday Cake sale.
A payday trip to Tesco also netted 6 Painting Easter Egg sets for £6 each. Even more happy! :)

A bit annoyed actually after finding out (by a chance visit to LEGO.com) that lots of different people have been stealing photos of my MOC's from Flickr and uploading them to the LEGO.com photo galleries, without giving me any credit. All the photos belong to me and I haven't given anyone permission to re-upload them anywhere. It kills me that the second most liked Mixels MOC ever on LEGO's galleries doesn't even belong to the person who uploaded it, it belongs to me!

I emailed LEGO CS yesterday to request removal of all my photos from their galleries (with supporting evidence) but I have a bad feeling that they have just dismissed my email without saying anything, or I've emailed the wrong department.

Has anyone else had this problem? And anyone had experience with trying to get photos removed?

(mods - if this post would be better as it's own thread, please move this post)

^That is frustrating. I would suggest calling them, they are always quite helpful and responsive. Might get them to take action quicker as it is harder to ignore than an email.
  • tallblocktootallblocktoo Member Posts: 497
@TheOneVeyronian This doesn't shock me in this day and age of the internet.  People seem to have no issues with using/stealing artists property.  Hope you can get this resolved.

I have also managed to finish the series 15 Minifigs, although it was the ballerina that was the difficult one to get for me. Struck it lucky this morning after some new boxes were put out at one of my local Tescos. Also picked up #75137 from Sainsbury's for £16 due to the come and shop with us vouchers they send out.

@TheOneVeyronian sorry to hear about what happened. That is really annoying and so unfair. Just wanted to say if you've emailed customer service only yesterday, it does usually take them a couple of days even up to a week to reply back... and with it being weekend I wouldn't worry too much they haven't gotten back to you. Obviously if you're really worried you can  always give them a call on Monday.

I hope this gets sorted for you, things like this get my goat, it's like hanging a picture of a Klimt in your house and claiming you painted it!

    ^ I painted it.

(And the 'Mona Lisa'.  That's one of mine as well.)
  • TheOneVeyronianTheOneVeyronian Member Posts: 1,372
@snowhitieTrue, but usually in my experience, when I email customer service they often get back to me within a day, normally at strange hours when you wouldn't expect an email from a UK customer service department to be sent (I often get emails back at 2am for instance, and I think I once had a reply from them on a Sunday so who knows)

Nevertheless, nowadays I take extra care to add my logo to my images (especially because I note that it's all the images I forgot to watermark that have been re-uploaded without credit), but it does get on my goat. And sadly, yes this occurrence is way too common and I can't say I'm surprised by this. But I was surprised by the complete lack of information regarding user-uploaded content and complaints about such on LEGO.com.

How it took me nearly 2 years to notice that people were stealing my MOC photos though...

I am once again on the market for a new house. So I have imposed a personal ban on buying any more LEGO until I find my new place. I am a single dad with two children so staying on my budget is super important. Budget , location and LEGO storage are my main checklist. It's crazy how much influence my collection has on my decision.

^ I'm sure your mortgage loan originator will appreciate staying on budget.

    Good luck!

I just got through sorting a case of S15 CMFs.  Now I just need to get those few extras to complete the fourth set.  Then I can be done with this nonsense until the Disney CMFs arrive later this year... and the German CMFs... and Series 16...

I purchased these through Amazon and Walmart (online). I'm not sure if they're available at Lowes or not.

My birthday was yesterday, so I spent the evening building #70734 Master Wu Dragon while watching a movie. And my wife got me a nice LEGO gift card, so I guess that means she implicitly approves of my hobby! :)

Put together an IKEA Billy bookshelf to use for displaying my modulars and other sets. At least until I have a house with an extra room... mwahahaha.

Building some sets I got a few days ago. Ironic that I put it off since I was so eager for the shipments to arrive, or to buy them at retail.

    @nexander
I've shifted some of my currency collection into LEGO. However, I spent stuff worth about face value rather than selling things worth a premium.

Neither did I! Looks like I'm going to have to settle for a regular brown one until LEGO releases a set with it in reddish brown...
