Hey I wasn't criticizing, I was hoping to learn something! I like all the language discussion we end up having around here.

I meant on the other forum.

Although another re-hash of the Brickset language discussion would be something to include in the ironically titled 'Adventures on Tatooine' UCS SW set.

    today.
i phoned Lego CS to find out ware my Pick a Brick order was.
i have tracking info on it. order is marked up "Description: HDNL 48 hr Non POD", 5 days ago, however tuns out DHL passed it to Yodel 2 days ago. who then labeled it as Mis-sort.
lego are going to phone DHL, who then should Phone Yodel, to get it moving again, then Yodel should Phone DHL who should phone Lego who should then phone me.

it's like a Big game of Chinese Whispers.

Wow. Just took a look at the discussion of Destiny/Megabloks on Bungie's forum. The person who suggested Lego would've been better got slammed for not saying LegoS plural, Someone else suggested Kreo would be better than Megabloks (?!), and "why not just make a Destiny Minecraft skin? It is the same thing right?"
imagine if someone said they prefered Call of duty sets lol

Blasphemy! How dare you even imagine stuff like that.
the call of Duty sets suck. its like looking at a 80's or 90's £1 store Knockoff of lego.

Iced in from work today( Thank you, Jesus!). The kiddo and I are eagerly awaiting my wife to get outta bed so we can play Lego Dimensions. Id try to wake her but it is not wise to wake a sleeping bear. Daughter is dying to play Zane, Cole, and Kai. We cannot find Jay Fun pack in stores to save our lives. Instead had to settle for Back 2 Future and Dr Who packs. Ooooh what a horrible life(Yea right!)

Cleaned up the City a bit today.  Had a ton of trade stuff, polybags and track strewn all over.

Very happy with the Armored Truck from the Spider-Man set.

Still need to break down the HH and GG, so I may focus my time on finishing the other half of my 2x Emporium...

Well my Lego status over the weekend, was assembling yet more IKEA Besta units to accommodate my collection! £150 which could have been better spent (on Lego) but at least I have some more space now, so the hellicarrier can begin!

Finally found a Series 15 Minifig at Target. Yeah...one. It was the janitor. I left it there.  I have a complete set, but I really want a few farmers and clumsy guys!

To ease the pain of that, I snagged 5 new First Order Stormtroopers from BrickLink for a 6-month low of $3/each. Been waiting for them to drop for a while!

sorting my 1x1 rounds by color at at least common/rare/transparent. did the bricks, then plates. inspired by having some in my PAB cup yesterday. Didn't want to put those in unsorted jars or have two separate systems. Also did my 1x1 square plates. even when I store colors together I count each separately.

An interesting story with a life lesson to be learned...

Back in December I sold a rare set of figures to a buyer. Much to my surprise, shortly after receiving them, said buyer quickly relisted them at an enormous markup on eBay. All the time we had been negotiating, the buyer kept talking about how excited they were to add them to their collection etc, etc.. I let it go though, they were free to do with the item as they wished now that it was their own, not to mention the markup was incredibly unreleaitic (in my opinion).

Fast forward a few months later and the buyer writes me out of the blue... complains that the items aren't selling and that he has "been had". He demands that I buy them back. After I refuse, saying I'm not interested in re-purchasing items I sold, he continues to complain (lets call it whining) to which I reply "To always blame others for our own mistakes is a dangerous way to live life." He ends with... "Nah I got had it happens won't again".

The "blame others and never yourself" ideology was strongly in play in this situation...

That's ridiculous. It's crazy how delusional some people are. He willingly purchased the items, so he obviously assigned some baseline value to them. And then to complain to you he can't flip them? The only thing he's been had by is karma, for being a wiener. (I don't think I can say the other, stronger words for body parts here, so wiener will do.)

The words i would use for the as you call him "wiener" is "jack ass".
ok i will admit to getting some sets cheep and hoping to sell them later on.
i am not going to turn in to a bricklink store. A. don't have the room. B. any set i do get has to be one i be happy keeping if i don't end up selling them later.
am i going to be a ass to the shop i got it from because i could not resell it.
no. as that is just dum. anyone who dose this is just showing that there brain power is to low and should not be buying and selling stuff in the 1st place.

on a side note, this conversation has got the song "money makes the world go around." stuck in my head.

    today at this time.
just packed away my 90's space set's but left out the Galaxy Squad set's.
now i have more room for the new stuff.
i am trying to make up my mind what set to build next.
The Fortrex #70317 or one of the other Nexo knights set's i got this week.
will most likely pick The Fortrex.
its a big set so i will need the space that i just made.
i hope that it turns out as good as it looks on the box.

I think Milo is a kind of chocolate milk drink powder? I don't think you can get it here, but the name is familiar from when I lived in Africa, I think.

Vegemite is similar to Marmite, Milo is similar to Horlicks ;)

Ouch, #2022 price per piece is a bit steep, although trading it for Horlicks is a steal as that's gross.  12 people want that set @VorpalRyu , make sure you keep it mint.

True - a lot of the stuff we had in Indian/Lebanese stores in Africa is also available either in the 'international aisle' of supermarkets or in smaller 'ethnic' shops.

@MattsWhat@plasmodium, Milo has been in Australia for decades, it's sort of like Ovaltine Cold Crunch, not like Horlicks as @tecjam would suggest.
